Disney "soon" or real life "soon"? LOL - 'cause ROL information was also supposed to be coming "soon" for several weeks!

Eek!! Well even if it's just rumor - it's nice to see some dates right now. Not surprised October is out - when I was there in 2014 it was packed.

What part of oct were you there? We are going the first week in October for the first time and I am wondering what to expect

Okay I'm pretty sure I have a grasp on this, but just want to check to make sure. I had no expectations of free dining on my dates which start 11/28-12/4, but if this latest rumor actually turns out to be true then I would catch the tail end of FD and have it for my entire trip. You are correct!

Yeah, those are rough dates to get FD for. They've scaled back October so much to practically nothing , and even back a couple years ago it still only had the first few day and last weeks basically. You might look at the historical data and see about the likelihood of a room discount. But I'll be hoping for you, you never know

Thanks! We have been lucky enough to get FD for the past few years and now our family has been spoiled by the wonderful restaurants. It would be a bummer if for all of us to only eat at QS this go around, but you can't win them all...I am keeping my fingers crossed though that there will be a small window of FD somewhere in our dates (as well as an available room!). This is the last year we will be going as a family since our DS (17) will be heading off to college next fall. Coming Disney, make the announcement already!

NO it's not Better!!! Doesn't mean you will be able to add any discount code if booked already, and they may not even offer any discounts--Because it can make Disney think that there is no need to offer any discounts because everyone has booked already. So if you are willing to not have any discounts, then go ahead and book, but if you want more of a chance for Disney to offer a discount, Wait to book.

First, anyone can cancel any reservation within 5 days of the reservation, so if your first reservation doesn't work out, adjust, then scramble. If you have nothing booked, then you're just scrambling with zero chance of being lucky with your first guess.

Second, just to be clear, you're basing your thoughts of Disney not offering discounts based on pre-booking on fact or speculation?

I'm kinda bummed that Disa Visa holders can only book by phone if they get an early release. But hey, even getting an early release would be cause to celebrate! Even if I do get stuck on the phone for a few hours lol

Geez, I feel like everything is coming at once! Disney cruise itineraries for summer 2017 are opening up in two days, now free dining is going to drop "soon", whatever that means, and we're still waiting for ticket pricing for MNSSHP and MVMCP!
