So, I signed up for the DV yesterday and immediately booked and put my deposit on with the Disney Visa, but I don't have the physical card in hand. Am I considered part of the DV crowd if my deposit is with my new visa, but I have no card yet?
Well I guess if you immediately booked and put your deposit on it then that means that Chase gave you your card number there on the spot? I did not know you could get the number from Chase over the phone, but as long as you have the card number, expiration date, and security code then I don't see any reason you would not be able to take advantage of an early release since if you have those then they would not know whether you actually have the card in hand or not.

Can you tell me what the crowds were like, that's when we will be there and I don't have the ability to time travel. Yet. pirate:

(Said totally tongue in cheek, I'm sure we all figured you meant 2015).

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:Can you tell I've been thinking about my trip later this year?? Woohoo for Sept 2016 Disney trips!

I actually meant September 2014. And the crowds were wonderful party:

We bought airfare, so we are set on the week we have to go. (sept 24-oct1). Either we get free dining or we will take the room discount and I'll cancel some of my ADRs. Even with free dining, I will be canceling some of my ADRs, I just haven't decided which yet. Right now I have:
Cinderellas royal table dinner
Sci Fi theater Lunch
Yak and Yeti Lunch
Tusker house lunch
Garden Grill dinner
Liberty tree Lunch
Be Our Guest Dinner
Akershus Royal Banquet breakfast and Dinner
Minnie's dinner at Hollywood and Vine
The Plaza lunch

I'm happy to see someone else is at the same place as us in this process. We have our flights booked and we're going no matter what. I'm just praying it's at a discounted rate of some sort. :)

Well, I'm off to bed. I'm hoping for the best for everyone! I'll check back in the morning. If I didn't have our BounceBack, I'd be up with you all just in case the Public offer dropped!

Reminder, the disboards last year were down that morning for the daily maintenance last year exactly around the time when FD was released. I don't know if that still happens but I remember freaking as FD was live and I couldn't post haha! Just throwing that out there in case you encounter the boards being down, don't panic! Good luck!

I have had the same thought! Talk about dining and fast passes and airfare....but doesn't seem quite as fun haha!
. What will we do? We will obsessivly wait for the 180 mark to get that BOG ressie or Cindy's or (insert you favorite hard to get ADR here)

Haha - I was thinking the same thing! Perfect avatar.
yup , me and my buddy, BUT since I work till 9pm plus 1 hour drive home, staying up till midnight is easy...
A man has to eat and watch some show.....

My situation is different than the PP's, but I applied and was approved for the Disney Visa on Monday. I called tonight to ask for the card number - they said their policy is that they won't give the number out over the phone (which makes sense). Luckily we have another DV in the family already.

Good luck (hopefully) booking tomorrow morning!

will be checking the website around 6AM and/or calling at 7AM to check on DVisa booking. If FD does not cover our dates, will book the TA package I have quote for.

Good Luck all!

I hope these rumors are true. After last years DV cold shoulder I was really ticked. I have 2000 dollars to spend that I gave saved for 2 Years. If DV does not come through with early FD I will move my points to another card.....

So the thoughts are tomorrow fd will be released for Disney visa only? Last year there wasn't and Disney visa pre release

Somebody may have said that, but I love, appreciate, and trust the crowd calendars. I compare three of them and go with what is common between them, or if they all disagree I go with the one I trust the most. I've never been steered wrong. I went in Sept 2016 during F&W (something like the 15th-19th?) and following the crowd calendars, I was able to convince 3 Disney-haters that there is a way to beat the crowds. In fact at one point we were able to walk on Expedition Everest 3 times in a row at about 2pm, and we were on a virtual continuous ride at Space Mountain because we were basically the only people there one night. We went six times in one hour. There was FD going on during our trip. I'm not sure what effect the economy had on crowds.

Can you either share here or PM me the ones that you use? :)

So... Len Testa just posted on twitter that free dining would likely open for Disney Visa tomorrow morning...

Hmm...
Very interesting, co-author of the unofficial guide seems like a pretty good source :) , however unless the No October rumor turns out to be wrong them I'm out of luck anyhow :(
