2016 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: September 14 - November 14, 2016

Thanks for the tip. We will be there four days also. Just trying to figure out a plan.

We are going to Food and Wine for the first time in many years for one day. I am going to try to do minimal planning and just enjoy the atmosphere. But, I don't want to miss something fantastic! What is your top 5 must try or do?

That's a hard one because I love just about everything about it. Try the waffles at the Belgium booth, I'm not a fan of the savory ones but the warm chocolate ganache and whipped cream were to die for. Into FW there was a booth for just wine and cheese plates, I think this year it's called the wine and dine studio, the cheese plates were excellent. I enjoy doing at least one food demo in the Festival Center, you can go by when you get in the park, it opens at 9 and see what's happening that day. I enjoy just sitting on a bench and knoshing on something and just watching the people.

This will be our first time at the Food and Wine Festival. Is there a plan of attack for walk around the World Showcase?
Try to keep walking from the country that has your favorite beverage. Or it may turn you around for another one! Those Margaritas in Mexico do it to us every year! Walk about three countries and turning to go back on a hot day! Sometimes, we just need to go around the world in the opposite direction, just to avoid the temptation. lol

Debating about buying The Tasting Sampler ... not sure if its a good deal. Thoughts?

A couple of questions.

1. Where can I purchase the food and wine card? The one you can load with money and use for purchases at kiosks (sorry, not sure of the name).

2. Is there a map with a list of countries and menus? And where can this be picked up?

Thanks!

The food and wine gift card that hangs on wrist. And the Marketplace Discovery passport. Thanks!

Warm chocolate ganache??? Sold!!! I love wine and cheese plates too. Thank you!

It can be a good deal if you use it for the higher priced items at the kiosks (like some of the adult beverages and possibly the Lobster Roll!). It's really convenient to just pop off one of the tabs to pay, but I don't want to lose money just for the convenience so I make sure to use it for the pricey stuff! HTHs! ;)

You can purchase Epcot Food and Wine Festival gift cards at the following:
  • Pin Central
  • Festival Center
  • Bridge Kiosk East & West
  • Festival Marketplace kiosks
  • Festival Emporium (Canada pavilion)
  • Festival Boutique (Japan and Morocco pavilions)
  • Select merchandise locations throughout World Showcase
There will also be a limited edition gift card design celebrating the 2016 Festival. These gift cards must be activated with at least $200 and come with an Epcot Food & Wine Festival-themed lanyard and carrying sleeve. Hope these are still around for my trip in late October!

You can pick up the passports at any of the international marketplace kiosks in World Showcase and Future World. Typically the Epcot guide map contains the locations of the international marketplace kiosks.

Does anyone know if all chase card holders could use the rest and free beverage area in the American Adventure? Not just Disney card but all chase cards. I could swore I read that this was the case. Can anyone confirm

Anyone know if I can I reload the F&W gift card from last year?

Last year was our first time & I managed to squeeze in a 4 day trip in September this year. So looking forward to it!

As long as you use it for items that cost more than 7.50 and there are not too many restrictions then it seems like an OK value

Once we start seeing the prices of items and the restriction we will have a better idea, but it seems worthwhile if you just use it for the cocktails

That's what they've done in prior years and the Guide says all Chase card holders are welcome

Thanks, I did not know you could use them for cocktails
