2016 Balloon Price? Still cash only?

Got one last month for $12. After three days I made the mistake of leaving it in the trunk of my rental car for a few hours while changing hotels. Balloon got mostly deflated from that. Oops.

Is there a trick to deflate these balloons so they can be saved and reinflated later? Or are they a one-time only deal. Maybe I should bring an extra empty suitcase for my girls to take one home...haha!

They are tied with a string. Untie the string, and the balloon will deflate. Not so easy to untie it, though.

Last June they were $12 and the white ones that light up and flash were still $15. Which reminds me....Let me take this moment to appolgize to anyone that may have been on a MK bus Easter break 2014, going back to POR at night that had the pleasure of riding with us. We purchased two flashing ones and didn't realize they had an off button. Can you imagine the 15-20 minute ride in the dark with two psychotic balloons? It was like Saturday Night Fever in there.

We have usually gifted these to an arriving child on our departure day-always ask the parents first as a courtesy.

It was $12 back in the first week of March. I got my daughter one. As of today, the outer balloon is 1/2 deflated. The inside balloon is still fully inflated.

Too bad you weren't on a Pop bus; they may have had the music to go with your disco party!

We also try to get these pictures, when we get the balloons, a photo pass photographer showed us to do this but could only take with our camera but not with their camera

Update: I noticed a couple of days ago my daughter's balloon was no longer floating. The inside balloon is still inflated. Two months isn't too bad for a balloon!

I was able to buy a balloon for my son without cash on our trip in November. There's a little side street off of Main Street in MK where there's some carts setup. I think the one was selling pictures of silhouettes, and I paid there for the balloon and took the paid ticket to the balloon guy for proof of payment. We got the one with the colored Mickey balloon inside the clear balloon and it lasted at least 2 months. I think it was $12 for that one but not positive.

ETA I couldn't stand the thought of leaving it behind because my son was so attached to it so I unloaded our checked suitcase and stuffed the balloon in it. My husband wasn't impressed lol but it made it home! I can only imagine what security thought when they saw the barely able to be zipped suitcase that hardly weighed anything.
OMG is that really possible to do? DD who is 16 has wanted one every trip since she was 2. We go in the summer and I would have space in my suitcase to jam it in. No problems with check in? If not I am so doing that in Aug

We had the same experience in January. Although our guy didn't have anyone else wanting balloons at the time and very nicely walked with us to the cart. I think we were able to charge to our MB but could be wrong. I was handling the kids and balloons while hubs paid for them.

Maybe it depends on buying from the guy stationed next to the side street and the time of day/how busy it is? We bought ours on the way back to our resort for a midday break.

We didn't have any problems! The first trip we bought the silver one which was thinner so I could stuff it in my Vera Bradley duffel bag as a carry on. But the one with the Mickey head balloon inside the clear balloon was way too big for that. It was so funny; we had just finished packing on the morning of our departure and I kept looking at the balloon and was all teary eyed at the thought of leaving it behind. I gave my DH a look that said "don't ask" and started unpacking the suitcase. I got the balloon in and expanded the suitcase as far as it would go. It wasn't easy but we got it shut! No one ever said a word but when we go to BWI airport one of the zippers was slightly open; so it either came open by itself or someone peeked inside. I can only imagine what their reaction was if someone did look! That was December 1st that we came home and I know it lasted well into February, maybe even early March. Totally worth it!

I just can't spend $12 for one balloon! I can get at least 3 mickey bars for that price, and I think the family would enjoy those much more.
