The Disneyland Hotel Superthread

I think it is wrong to take away EE. I felt like guests used this option. At least, there were always guests in the parks along with me when I was there using EE.

But, I am just operating under the assumption that TWDC will start charging for EE. This seems like their corporate MO. Just charge for things we used to give away as part of your magical vacation. The magic is there, but for the low, low price of $15.99 / guest.

From what I have read and what Disney has published it is just 1 per stay. Which is a total slap in the face. We are going later in February. Hope that things change, but I don't think it will.

It Is a huge slap!
we got 2 early entries in 4 days and did a total of 2 rides in that time in each park. (although I think maybe we saved time later.

As a point of perspective, DW was excited about this change because she doesn't like getting up early.

The last 2 times I tried to use EE (consecutive days last Jan), there were almost no rides open in either park. The main attractions rides were mostly down and when asked why, we were simply told there were ride issues. This is pure speculation but my guess is that they didn't have enough staff. Anyway, 2 days of getting up early and quickly trying to hit the biggies only to be turned away at each one with no real explanation. Total waste. I'd rather have the new option than get up early and learn they simply aren't opening the rides, but of course I'd MUCH prefer they just give us EE like before but make sure the rides are running, especially the EE mainstays.

Is that still possible? I thought you had to tap into your first ride, or wait until the one-hour arrival window passed, before you can book more LL at WDW.
This was before they added back the pre booking of LL so not 100 percent sure . But when I went 2 years ago on site could book at 7 am so I’d book a late one at 7 am, then boook my next one 2 hours later as the family got up, and keep em going til we got to the park and just make sure I booked later one so we wouldn’t miss it, except book the last one as early as possible and do that one first so I can then book back to back after I tap in etc

When you checked in, did you see your purchased LLMP as well as an extra MEP LL as well?

The small print on the website says,

Valid only during the eligible hotel stay, and not valid for Lightning Lane Single Pass attractions.

Limit one eligible attraction entry benefit per reservation and per Guest age 3+ who is a registered Guest on the hotel reservation at time of hotel check-in
Here is what we learned, so far lol:

Well I know I'm just one person but we didn't book on property for our 6 night trip later this month due the them pulling early entry. We don't always stay on property but this trip is special and we planned on staying at GC or DLH. I'm sure it won't lower their numbers because there's always someone else who will pay but we really liked that perk for for us it's a no-go anymore.

I think if this was a 1 per day, or included Rise of Resistance or Radiator Springs it might have flown - most assume Early Entry gave between 1-3 rides before the crowds, but you did have to get up earlier ;) and the "walk up" benefit is nice vs messing with trying to book a time - which makes it more like Early Entry as far as less phone time to book. That said, we spent a Lot of time trying to add other than the Primary guest so they need to either sort that out or give clear directions with to guests.

Rise and Radiator were not operating in EE usually anyway. We EE'd Radiator and they noted it "opens at 8" but we still only waited 30 minutes for a ride that never got below 90 the rest of the day.

Rise's Reliability was our issue: not open for any rope drops, went down while in line once.
