2014 VWL Christmas Tree Exchange - SIGNUP BY OCT 31!!!

Welcome all you DVC members spending the holidays at VWL. As in prior years, there will be at least one Christmas tree exchange for persons staying at VWL. Send me your dates and I'll coordinate a list. I am donating a tree, but if anyone else would like to donate another tree for BCV, in case of duplicate dates, please let me know (as of now, there is only my tree and there is a good chance it will follow me to BCV on 12/22)!

If you are new. Here's how it works: A donated tree, decorated, is sent to VWL. A list of people participating will be in/on the box, along with their reservation dates. You pick up the tree from the luggage cast member, take the tree back to your room, set up and enjoy! When your time is up, you'll cross your name off the list and return to the luggage cast member for the next person to pick up. There will be a donation envelope (optional, of course!) to help defray the shipping costs to and from VWL. The last person, takes the return address label and pre paid postage sticker, and the luggage cast member will mail it back. Such fun...and really is great to have in your room for the holidays!

So, please post here or send me a PM with your dates and I'll add you to the list. I will update the list from time to time on line... I think this covers it all. This is my first time donating and coordinating a tree, plus I am coordinating the BCV thread, so please be patient!

Sorry if I'm doing this wrong.... it's my first time doing any type of exchange. My husband and I are staying at VWL 12/15-12/22. I would also be glad to help with monies just need to know the cost because I do need to run the amount past my husband. Thanks!

Hi! There is no cost involved - donating to the shipping cost to/from the resort is purely optional Now, since we are leaving on 12/19, I have a few options for you:
1. You can have the tree 12/15 - 12/19
2. If you have a way to transport the tree to Beach Club by 12/22, then you can have it 12/15 - 12/21 (late) or 12/22 (early)
3. If I can find a way for the tree to be transported from VWL to BCV by 12/22 am, then you can have it until 12/21 or so.

Please let me know if either you can help in transporting the tree to Beach Club (i.e. you will have a car with you) or if you would be ok with only having it from 12/15-12/19 (if I can't find a way to transport it to BCV).

I think you are good to go! I will call WL tomorrow and check, but it will probably be something like you bring it down to bell services on 12/21 and ask to have it delivered to BCV and it will have my name and date of 12/22 on it. I will add you to the list now, and will keep you updated!

Sadly, we rely on Disney transportation from beginning to end.. otherwise I would be glad to help with transportation. I would happy to have it from the 15th-19th. That having been said, it's only my husband and I so if a family is going to be there when we are by all means let them have it (I thought of families after I made the post, selfish cow that am I lol)

I just found your thread today. We are going to be staying at the WLV from 12/22 to 12/27. Is there any way we could still participate in the tree exchange? Sorry but I just found this today

Just to clarify- this is our 1st time doing this- for tree #2 we will buy and mail tree to resort for 1st family on the tree #2 list to use then this family will leave it for us at check-in? Also is it ok if I advertise for another family to use it after our check out date?
