Good morning grannyminnie! You are able to get a 4th after you've used the first 3. Does anyone else know if you can get the 4th through your phone app or if it has to be at the kiosk? I thought I read it had to be at a kiosk.

I also read it has to be at a kiosk in the park where you want the fastpass.

Checking in to the Grand in just a few more days! Unfortunately, looks like some rain is in our forecast.

Just ordered a rain cover for the stroller and some ponchos for the fam. Fingers crossed we don't need them!

Yes, a few pics, info on the parasol parade would be nice. I didn't realize it existed until I stumbled upon it in a website on the GF. I plan on watching it with our girls when we go in October.

It really is so nice to see...one of those extra touches that makes the Grand so grand!

Working on getting FP for the mine train..... Thanks to those who encouraged me to try, try again....I'm gonna see if I can score one before we go..which is 3 weeks away! Is it time to pull out the suitcase??

Hi! So happy to find this thread! I just booked TPV for November
Question- last year we stayed at Poly TPV club level, we had a ground floor room and it was amazing! Our patio opened up to a huge lawn space where the kids could play and we were just a few hundred feet from the beach. the fireworks every night were incredible. Is there a building at GF that has similar room types? A room on ground floor that we can walk out into a grassy area? thanks!

WELCOME!! There are ground floor rooms with a patio..but they are not open...they are enclosed by the balcony railing...Still a lovely spot to be able to sit out and watch the fireworks...The buildings that would have those fireworks views are Conch and Sago...and I believe there are some in Boca Chica...BC also has a lobby exit that faces the lagoon..and would bring you out onto a grassy area...

hmmm, not at our house! (I usually have one sitting out at least a few weeks before and I just throw stuff in as I think of it)

Random question ... what time does the EWP play in front of the GF, is it still around 9:15?

We do the same thing...want to get that luggage out early...put "stuff" that we might need in it ...then pack..and re pack.... lol...

As for the EWP... you're it is at the GF at 9:15... We really enjoy this too..A true Disney classic!

Read this too..! so happy that you can get a 4th at a different park though... Hopefully they will keep adjusting the whole FPP system and people will be able to book 3 at more than one park in a day at the 60 day mark...

Hope the time flies...and the weather gets better too!! Not to worry too much tho...the main building at the GF has so much under one roof..shopping... dining...music in the afternoon into evening.....

Sounds like you are prepared though! Some of our best touring times have been when the parks emptied due to rainy weather... Hope you have a Grand vacation!!

I sure hope they change that 4th FP+ option so that it can be accessed on the app vs kiosk. We like to split parks and we do not visit the second park until evening. I am sure there would be NO FP+ left by the time we arrive at the evening park If we could choose the 4th FP+ for any park on our phone as soon as the 3rd FP is used, it would give us a chance to schedule one ride at the second park. It makes the 4th FP almost pointless for park hopping families like ours.....

Our new Midnight with Mickey VB bags arrived ....and they are adorable...the colors are so vivid...such a nice surprise for DD..and as I am sure I mentioned...we "needed" them!!!

I totally agree with you. We go to one park in the morning and then relax at the hotel for the rest of the afternoon. By the time we get to the second park we'll be out of luck.

But this is what we would normally do so it wouldn't be a change for us. I was just hoping it would work differently this trip with FP+.

WELCOME!! and congratulations on booking your first GF stay...I bet it wont be your last!! There is a wealth of info on the beginning of this thread...including a map which will give you a lay of the land so to speak...

GV rooms at the GF will give you either a courtyard pool view..which is quite lovely.. a marina view.. or the back of Sago which is a woodland view...there are some partial ( very partial..lol..) lagon view roms in Boca Chica...these basically face a garden area..and across towards the boat dock...mariamouse had posted a bit more of the views from BC a few pages back....

If you would enjoy a marina view...then I would request Conch Key...it is close to the courtyard pool..the boat dock..and the area furthest out in this building would also have a monorail view....Really all of the views are so pretty..you cant go wrong..and everything on the grounds is in close proximity to each other...

Thank you for the information! I would love a marina view that is quiet! We are however, highly considering upgrading to a club room. Hoping they are not all sold out at this time.

I'm not normally a VB fan, but oh my!!! I love the Midnight with Mickey print.

How do they hold up travel wise?? Like pulling them in and out of the overhead bin on a plane or out from under a seat? Rugged?

As for the availability of late day FP+...during our last trip...which was at a slow ..or should I say slower...time of year we were able to change a FP+ ..Space Mountain late in the day...so a popular attraction...to even later..with no problem...hope the ease of changing..and adding FP+ will remain the same...

You are very welcome! CL at the GF is simply Grand! If you choose SL which is the outer building CL you can elect to have that quiet marina view also...

There are different kinds of robes at the GFR, and they have gone through a few subtle changes over the last several years. A robe in February 2015 may be different again. See what is available at the time before making a purchase.
