2014 Free Dining PIN Code Thread

I received a free dining OR % off pin this afternoon. It came to one of my email addresses in both my maiden name AND married name (even though I've been married for 29 years) and my mother's address. It would save me $450 if I take advantage of the % off. The dates for free dining won't work for me since our dates are in May, 2014.

Was this your first time calling since Thursday when the initial batch went out? I'm just wondering if the batch for this afternoon has been released yet.

It was. I received an email from Disney a few days earlier with a small discount code at the bottom that read THN. Then it said to call Disney or my travel agent and refer to that code. I spoke to my travel agent who said that she suspected other discounts today so I waited till then to call.

Yah! I just got it too today, and the percent off dates covers later in the year too!. It's encouraging that it was for 35% off or free dining because everyone was only expecting the S/P/D or percent off. It was unexpected. The free dining was only until 3-15. But the percent off was for:
1/3-3/5, 3/14-3/22, 3/30-4/12, 4/21-5/31, and 8/17-9/27.
It says 35% for Deluxe and deluxe villas and lower percents for other resorts.

Okay, so this one is a PIN which is offered to individuals and I got mine in an email. It helps to go on Disney's website and inquire about stuff, etc.,

However tomorrow on the 8th there are discounts supposed to be coming out for the general public that VISA card holders already received for Feb. So, I would go on their site tomorrow and be on the lookout. Stay Play and Dine is one, which is all adults get kids dining prices and ticket prices, but you pay full rate for the resort. Which dining depends on your resort category (value or moderate and up). Or, a percent off is also being offered at differing percents based on resort.

So if you are going, get on it tomorrow.!

I just got the FD and RO % pin emailed to me at about 7:15! I am on hold right now to amend my reservation.

You mean checking them online? Mine show available for what I'm doing, but you never know what they will allocate. think I will call later tonight once I figure exactly what I'm doing.

I got lucky and got a PIN code today. Unfortunately we can't use the Jan-Mar dates. A couple people have mentioned that in the past they offered FD by PIN and SPD to general public as it seems they might be doing this year.

Did they make similar offers for later in the spring in the past? DS11 doesn't want to miss school. Hates the hassle of make up work and putting together a 'what I learned on my educational trip project'

Any guess on possibilities of late April FD PINs?? What do they typically offer in the after Easter/before summer break time frame?

Our dates isn't offered. Our dates are 03/08/14-03/10/14. Sure hope the general public covers our dates.

My DD got the pin offer. It was located in her spam folder. The RO discounts are some of the best percentages off in recent history.

I have no PIN. Disney has no love for me!

But the 35% off is the same as tomorrow's GP offer, so I am not losing hope yet. I will stay up to check for an early release tonight and otherwise be on the phones first thing in the morning. I am so sick of this discount hustling. Disney needs to come up with a system that does not require so much advance preparation and/or negative feelings when discounts are available but not accessible to all.

I'm in shock! I've been checking my e-mail every hour this afternoon/evening and no PIN. Then I logged into my husband's e-mail (I had literally created a Disney account for him 2 days ago in hopes that something like this would happen) and sure enough, there was a FREE DINING pin!! I had checked that account around 3pm today and there was a generic room offer e-mail earlier, so I thought for sure that was going to be it!

I just got off the phone and changed my reservation to free dining. I was able to upgrade from AoA LM to POFQ. We have 2 adults and 1 "Disney adult", DD 11. I saved $800 from my original reservation. We are going 2/13-2/20, prime holiday season due to Presidents Week. The hour plus on the phone was worth it!
