Hi there,
I'm brand new to this forum and am hoping for some advice! I did the Tinkerbell 10K last Feb and am now training for the 1/2! However, I was out with the stomach flu this weekend and missed the 6.5 mile run![]()
Any advice on what to do? Try to run it asap? Run it instead of a 30 min run this week? Any thoughts or input is appreciated!
Thank you![]()

First of all, welcome!
Second of all, sometimes things happen and you're gonna miss a run. It's not the end of the world, which is the good news. It's pretty hard to follow a training schedule to the letter and not miss one here or there. What you do really depends on how you feel. Me personally, I would just redo the entire week so I don't try to throw in the 6 miles when my body may not be ready for it. There's a reason we don't just do one long run after long run after long run. Or maybe I would just skip the 6.5 miles altogether and do my shorter training runs and then just shorten my next long run by a little so I've still worked my way up to it.
