2014 Christmas Gift idea list for TEEN GIRLS

Love this thread! I am starting to think about what to get DD14 and DD20. I already know I am getting both of them make up mirrors. DD14 asked for one & both girls will enjoy them. I might get DD14 one of those "boyfriend" pillows with arms to use on her bed. I put back one last week at Target and wish I'd just gotten it & figured out how to hide it.

I think both will end up with some gift cards. I don't anticipate any big wish list items this year from either of them. I'll be reading this for some ideas!

I like the idea posted about makeup mirrors so my teens can keep their makeup in their bedroom instead of cluttering up bathroom.

Today while in 5 Below with DD16, she wanted a screen saver for her Iphone because she said her Otterbox is so plain. The screen saver is glittery red and was $5. I bought it without her knowing and will put in her stocking.

DD16 has asked for the giant 53" teddy bear from Costco. It's $29.99 and oh so soft and cuddly. She took a photo with it LOL Her 13yo sis asked for one too

My preteen saw this a few years ago. She saved and saved to buy one. We went back prepared for them to be gone (how many months do they really stay around!) but there were still bears. She remembers walking through the store carrying a bear that was bigger than her and says mom I still can't believe you let me get it!!

I'll go for some little cuties. Maybe some mugs or something. Look what I got for my niece from www.jeezdesign.com. I like it so much, hope she'll love it too.

Is there anyplace to look for cute ipad cases? I have looked at zazzle (expensive!), etsy and ebay.

You can design your own at Artscow.com. I've ordered several things from them, and found them to be great quality for the price. There are often coupon codes that make the prices very reasonable (google for them). Just be aware that since they are shipping from overseas, you need to plan ahead and order early!

Last year, I got DD (16) a Wreck This Journal. I'd never heard of it before finding it in this thread!! It was a big hit. She loved it!! I gave it with a big set of Sharpie markers.

Last year I contacted a local beauty school, and arranged for a class on applying makeup. Three friends joined me, we made up certificates, and each of our 13 year old daughters was able to include a friend.

This year, it's going to be a cupcake decorating class, and both my daughters will be included.

I love the Beauty School Make Up Class idea. DD13 will wear mascara and some lip gloss right now but that is all. This would be fun for her and her friends.

For anyone interested in cell phone accessories, eBay has a $5 off $20 coupon right now - CELLSAVE5.

Coupon is valid on the following categories: Portable Audio & Headphones, Smart Watches, Cell Phone Accessories (Batteries, Cables, Chargers, Cases, Memory Cards & more). They must be Buy It Now Items. The code expires tomorrow I believe.

I needed to pick up a micro SD for the new cell phone DD14 will be getting, so I got that plus a Monopod and remote: http://www.ebay.com/itm/171466797255. We saw people using them all over Europe this summer (yes, for the dreaded "selfie"). DD seemed to scorn them, but it was the type of scorn that I could tell meant she really was jealous and wanted one - ah, the teenage years! :lmao:

I've already picked up a bunch of fun cell phone and iPod Touch cases cheap, otherwise I would have been using this coupon to get more of those! Cell phone charms are also a hit with many teen girls.

I think others have said this, but my nieces are teens now and I have a hard time keeping up with what they like anymore. So gift cards are what this Aunt gives them and they know it. If I know stores they like I get the gc from there, if not my local bank has visa gc.

Thank you for the ebay link! I just ordered the blue one for my daughter for her stocking stuffer. She's going to love it!:cool1:

Least year my daughter got a clear plastic (acetate?) "rack" for her nail polishes. Sort of like what you would see in a salon. They have flat ones to hang on a wall, or tiered ones that would sit on a dresser/vanity. It was purchased on amazon for $20 or less. I have seen similar ones for make-up at Target (near make-up/travel toilettries)... most teens would love something like that.
My SIL gave our DD the polish one, with a bottle of polish, remover and cotton balls. She LOVED it.

DD15 wants ski pants that are skinny not puffy. She is a casual skier but wants to join ski club this year etc. Anyone have a recommendation?

Hi,

I snowboard and know what she means by not puffy! I like the same trousers - I assume it would be similar for skiing.

Basically, the 'puffy' ones are where there is extra padding in the leg and the skinny ones are where there is no padding, and the material feels a lot thinner. I know these ones are expensive but they might give you an idea of what you are looking for. In my experience Burton do good ones but they can be on the pricier side but at least you know what you are looking for!
