Taxi is the best way- it will be quickest method and you won't have to factor in any wait time like you would for a bus to MK and then the resort monorail. The fare should be around $15 plus tip and it should take less than 15 minutes to get there.

I was wondering if anyone had the recipe for the breakfast potatoes you get with the scrambled egg platter.

Thank you

I haven't seen one. There are a lot of recipe thread on the DIS- I believe in the dining subforum and maybe the Community subforum. It is a longshot because I think it is mostly restaurant recipes there.

I'll ask this over on the main Beach & Yacht Club FAQ thread. You never know what info someone might have tucked away or be willing to ask if they are visiting soon.

:)

OK, that link rocks! Well, more like Jazz, but I haven't seen this before. I have already added it the Trip Report/Picture Post on Page 2, "For your listening pleasure" Thanks for sharing. We once had someone ask about the music on the buses to the Y&BC- I don't think we ever got that answered. Do you have that link floating around at your fingertips??? :goodvibes
Well, I can't find anything official, but I used my "Soundhound" app to try to capture it on my trip last April. It was hard because the bus is usually crowded and there's a lot of noise. I was able to capture one track however. It's called " Winding Lane" and it's from an album called "Autumn Leaves" by a group called Colors of the Land. The only place I can find it available is on Amazon.com. I listened to a sample and it definitely is the bus music. However, on the bus they clearly superimpose seagull and ocean wave sounds to implement it. So, if you want the true YC/BC bus experience, you'll have to add your own sound effects. I feel like Ninjamom could help y'all with this.

Dont have the recipe but just wanted to say that, in typical Dee fashion, this is a very kind thing to do :goodvibes :goodvibes

Oh dear goodness I have NO DOUBT Ninjamom could help add "sound effects" the danger is what sounds would she add :lmao: She might take to rounding up volunteers for the cheer-leading, pool party or heaven knows what  I'd be more than a wee bit interested to know her thoughts on this matter :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Please add us to the list, staying at the BC from 8/21 to 8/29. We booked using the BB offer last trip.

Thanks :)

We get the refillable mugs with our dining plan and like to use them while at SAB. If they didn't come with our package I would probably buy one to two for convenience sake but not for all five of us. Pop is available all the time in the CL lounge and its nice to grab when you're heading out or coming back to your room. If you think you'll use the mug (since it's quite a hike from SAB to the CL lounge to grab a drink when you're thirsty) then get one. But you don't need one if all you're going to use it for is when you go to your room. That's what the lounge is for! I hope you enjoy your CL stay as much as we do!

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Thanks so much! This is our first CL stay due to the discount we were able to upgrade woohoo! Good point about SAB... might have to get one that we can all share for that purpose :)

Hi, we (DH 47 DD 9 DD 8 DS 12 and me 42 ) are going to BC 7/20/13 - 8/03/14 previous trips April 08 PCR April 2000 ASM 96 off property. DL years 94 & 95. We are looking forward to our 1st deluxe stay. We have chosen our magic band colours, booked our ADRs just waiting to book fp+

:cool1:

Add us to the Be Our Guest list!

Hubby and I just booked YC for 7/27-8/1. The AP discount was the deciding factor.

Tell the bartenders to pull out that Sunken Treasure recipe!

Ok, so we are BC standard view....it is my understanding that with some of the standard views, you can actually see Spaceship Earth. I'm guessing I would need a higher floor...but what else request would make this view more possible? Thanks! :goodvibes

I'm just a few days out from going on my next trip to the YC.:banana: Can't wait to leave on Friday for FL. I am so looking forward to everything being green and seeing the flowers. I need some sun after that long, horrible winter!

Yesterday, with the new AP discount, just booked our summer trip. We'll be doing a split stay, staying 7/22-7/27 at the WL and 7/27-8/1 at the YC. So, at least when we're leaving Disney, we won't be too sad knowing we're back in a few months! :cool1: :woohoo:

Have a great trip, and I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list for your summer trip.

:woohoo:

Changed our dates, now doing a split stay 10/30-11/7 at POR and BC 11/7-11/10. Had to try out a Royal Room, but wanted to be at BC for the Wine and Dine half!

Got it! I'll make the adjustment.

:thumbsup2

Is the Club Level lounge still open 24 hours? What's available at 10pm? Is alcohol still available?

I know they close to restock at certain times, but not sure if there's still stuff available late night.

Nothing beats stopping at the lounge for a late night snack!!!

When we were there last April, the lounge was open after 10 but the only thing out was some water, some fruit, there were sodas in the fridge. The alcohol was taken out. DH seems to remember a few other little snacks. But, once it was gone, it was gone.

The snacks I remember overnight were canisters of trail mix and yogurt pretzels. I can't remember if there were Swedish fish or not, because I don't care for them.

Possibly a request of near EPCOT side or facing EPCOT?

:)

Yahoo! Just got a YC CL LV room for May 15 - 19, our first Star Wars Weekend. Thanks to our AP we were able to make the upgrade. Please add us to the guest list. :cool1:

Well, that would be too obvious!! :lmao:

That music link was great

On the busses, I wonder if the music is carried with the bus on a CD/mp3 type thing or if it is over some radio system

Missing y'all

Has anyone taken the illuminations cruise? We are booked to take one for my friend's birthday. I was told on the phone that we couldn't bring any food but could order some. Anyone done this? Or have any comments on the cruise?

Here's one review I have of about the Illuminations cruise from a trip report by eandesmom. On the ameneties post (Post 4) on Page 1, I have reviews of a boat rental, the kid's albatross cruise, and this one.

Illuminations cruises are also available for hire. Reservations are strongly suggested and can be booked by calling 407-WDW-PLAY.

Going off topic, but since you guys are awesome with advice, I thought I would ask here. We're bringing my daughter's girlfriend with us in August (they are both 11 yrs old). Is there anything I should know/bring for "just in case something happens"?
