Hello everyone! We are arriving Saturday with a TPV room for a few days. Does anyone know if the TV can be tuned to Wishes music during the fireworks like they do at the Contemporary? We have been outside on the patio and heard the music but wondered about the TVs if we want to watch from our room. Thanks for any information!

Nope not crazy! I think it does too. Plugged one bulb in bathroom and one in living room.

I need to add to my ticker too! Dd asked for us to pay her share of her trip to cali she is taking with her bf. She wanted that vs a graduation party from college. They doing yosemite in a travel trailer, then a week at a Marriott resort compliments Aunt J then finishing 3 days at DL. I asked dh yesterday if we could go for the weekend too. So we arrive 6/15 and leave 6!8 and overlap only one day 6/17 but that way they get some private time and I get to be with her there.

So, evidently we scored an O'hana reservation for 12
But it's at 3:30pm in the afternoon

What time do they even open for dinner? I'm trying to imagine what it will be like that time of day. Has anyone ever been there that early? The moms on this trip think it will be great bc the littles won't be melting down yet.

Just thinking: the crazy stuff we put up with at WDW that would never fly outside of the World

Hey-----a score is a score!! woohoo I agree with the moms. Having the kids experience Ohana earlier in the day will avoid those magical meltdowns that can put a damper on a hard-to-get ADR. It will also avoid the chaos with the beeper waiting for your table to be ready in the GCH. This could also give you an excuse to have a dessert stop around 7:30-8pm

Morning!! Homecomin was so hard to get too. Actually, I hate the time we have and I have been trying for weeks to change it, but not happening either. The only reason we don't do the Wave without the kids is for the same reason....I hate there are no windows and you definitely notice it.

Although I have not used it yet, I have seen folks over on the restaurant boards talking about several different ADR finder apps/websites. My understanding is you input the desired restaurant/meal type and it will email you whenever there is an opening...no matter the time of day....which could make for a few sleep interruptions if you have notifications audible on your phone. But if you REALLY want those ADRs, it could be a great tool

Thank you so much, I didn't know if it was wishful thinking or it really did have the right scent. I am going to grab some more, wish they had a candle in that scent.

Yes Touring Plans grab my O'hana reservation for me and I was checking constantly and didn't see it. Mine came in the afternoon, but I would have been willing to wake up for it. lol

For anyone going to GF soon.....I would love to have a snapshot of the allergy friendly menu at Gaspie's.....if it exists??? I haven't heard any reviews of their offerings since the short refurb.

I am also curious if GF is going to change to the Keurig coffee makers in the room like the new YC refurbed rooms. We really enjoy our k-cups at home and it makes it so relaxing to have a cup in-room whenever I am in the mood. Portofino at Uni has this and I love it!

I am sorry I don't know anything about an allergy friendly menu, I did see the new menu of the WDW website. I loved the keurig machine at the Portofino last year too. I hope the GF is getting that would be nice, I would love to make ice coffee in the room for the afternoon.

Perfect plan Two meals and a treat! We often have a snack for lunch and an early dinner which works out great for the wallet and we avoid larger crowds which wastes time when we want to get back to the rides

Thanks for the pics trishadono! I am daydreaming of sitting on one of those balconies with a mug of coffee and a breakfast bar while people watching at the start of the day. And probably again mid-afternoon while resting and recharging before evening. AND......again at night listening to the sounds of the boats and whistles while watching the lights twinkle.... Can you tell I REALLY love sitting out on the balcony?

Yes. Going in Sept! My WDW partner in crime lives in LA, so I have an excellent tour guide. We booked a week in a hotel across from DL. Can see ToT from hotel!! Funny we are both on west coast but always meet up in WDW. We've been talking about us doing a DL trip for a few years! Finally doing it. And Canadian discount on tix, woohoo

Hi Sue! Just saw this response from you. I have been to DL several times in the past few years and have seen some of the hotels nearby. Can you tell me where you're staying? My sis and I stayed in the DL hotel one year, and DH and I did a stay there before that. Otherwise, we stay in a Marriott a few miles down the road.

We are staying at The Anaheim Hotel, formerly the Anaheim Plaza. I hear it's right by Toy Story parking lot. And from pics, you can see ToT from hotel it just got bought by new owners who are making lots of refurbs.
