We are staying at The Anaheim Hotel, formerly the Anaheim Plaza. I hear it's right by Toy Story parking lot. And from pics, you can see ToT from hotel it just got bought by new owners who are making lots of refurbs.

I know just where that parking lot is. On our last trip, when we stayed at the Marriott I mentioned, I would drive to that lot and park there, to get the shuttle to the park. I don't recall that particular hotel but assume it's on that road (Harbor Blvd). Lots of people walk to the park from the nearby hotels.

Ok, I'll check it out. I had thought about booking one night at one of those nearby hotels on our last trip but backed out.

I have booked an outer building theme park view room. However, the pics I have seen of those views are not very pretty. Have I just seen bad pics maybe? I assume you can see fireworks with the theme park view?

I missed the Grand so much, in March when I was in Deerfield Beach I drove three hours to Disney to spend a few hours at Epcot and just a half or so at the Grand in the lobby listening to the pianist. Cannot wait to be there in August again!

We always stay in Deerfield Beach before driving up to WDW. Love it there. Beautiful beach.

Hi Friends! I'm here. Haven't gone anywhere. Picking up DS and DD from college today and tomorrow. No plans to visit the GF for a few more years. I'm loving reading about upcoming stays and seeing pictures. Keep sending them!

MommyGina - I too am picking up DD18 from college on Thursday! So proud of her. She had a great first year and loves college. I hear so many stories from friends of kiddos having a rough first year and many switching to other schools. Hope your college kids are doing well

We stayed in that room category last year. It was amazing. We could watch the fireworks and the water parade every night. I can't remember which building we stayed in, but it was right next to the boat dock. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who was going to Disney.

Probably not great pics! Yes you can see fireworks with a theme park view. Also right outside gasparilla grill is a great place to view wishes!!

Our family checks into our lake view grand villa on Monday! Very excited. We've stayed CL at the GF many times, but never stayed in the villas. I'm interested in trying something new.
