Always book, you can cancel if you find something better.

I'm in the same boat. Looking for a discount on my split stay starting on Dec 17th.

MouseSavers shows historical discounts back to 2012. Room only discounts for late fall are generally released much later than the free dining promotion. For example, discounts in late November-December were started on in 8/27/12, 8/1/13, 7/23/14 and 6/16/15. So I would expect that if they do occur, it won't be for a few months. However, it does seem to be getting earlier every year!

I just checked my email and I had a pin code that now includes our late November dates. I am off to see what is available now!

Blue safe travels, post lots of pics!!! For my Aug trip I'm sure I'll be packed by mid July lol! Or should I say, over-packed :faint:

enjoy NYC and GF. Sounds like a great trip. I'm afraid my bikini days are over, lol!

This may be a dumb question but do the outer buildings at the GF have lobbies or are they like the moderates with outside entrances to the rooms? Also do all buildings have elevators?? We have 2 strollers so an elevator is a must!!

Whoo Hoo we are booked for our first ever GF stay! Nov 27-29. The pin code had a 30% off GF and garden, lagoon, and main building CL was showing as available for those dates. We are booked garden. I would really like to see the monorail from our room. Has anyone ever requested that? And is that something available for Garden? Lagoon was only a few dollars more a night, so I could switch to that if needed. Thanks!!! My daughter is very excited for the Gingerbread house!
Now to wait for the dining window to open. Last year our dates were during free dining and we weren't able to get a reservation for Chef Mickey. fingers crossed for this year.

Congrats!! Based on what I've been reading about the dwindling discounts, sounds like you scored!! :thumbsup2 And you are going to love the GF!!

My favorite garden view is Sago -- because the view of the marina and courtyard is considered garden view -- and it is a beautiful view to wake up to with morning coffee.

I have only stayed non cl at gf once, at Sago. We loved the view of the lagoon and mono!:beach:

Just booked Lys a Disney Institute class and after booking you can book a convention rate for up to 3 nights.

Wait for it .... was only $199 a night!!!!:cool1: Woo Hoo!!! They usually put conventioners in Sago so that works for us!:goodvibes

So happy to be back. Since Lys finally over 21 instead of wine in the lounge by myself I think we shall follow your lead and drink :drinking1 at the bar at Narcoseees or Pool.:thumbsup2

@trishadono, what a great mom making such sacrifices!!! Sounds like we were raised in the same family! I note your signature says "only one left!!!SSR," does that mean at that point you have conquered Disneyworld and now must move on to say, hmmm, stay at every resort on Maui?

So, that makes me think I need to sign up for a Disney Institute class!! I need details!
On second thought...they might not accept "grannyminnies"! :rotfl:

That s why we went to Disneyland in March, lol!

Class in just over $1000. I went with her to one of them. Good stuff. It was interesting to see your college age daughter handle herself amongst professionals. Now she is going to be a senior and has the added benefit of 4 disney classes on her resume.

They accepted me lol! I was not the oldest either. Most 30-60 but older and younger ones too.

This one at GF but they rotate. Most at CSR, BWI or Gf with one at CR too. Lots even offered in Ca.

@trishadono when I googled the cost it said $4,900 -- it had to be true, it's on the internet!!! :rolleyes1
Thats for 3 days. She is doing the single day Employee Engagement class on 8/2. Google that:rolleyes1

:rotfl::rotfl:

My husband is willing to pay for it and thinks it is good for her so I sacrifice myself and stay at the resort with her. So sad its at the Grand this time.:worship:

I agree it is a great program and looks great on a resume - I did, obviously find the priciest one - just because I wanted to prove how selfish I can be -- "for that kind of money, I might as stay there myself."

Hi All!! Thanks for all the great info! We just got back from our first stay as a family and my first trip in 30 years staying at AoA. We were hooked so my wife and I decided to come back for our 10th anniversary. Originally we booked at POR and then the discounts came out so we called to see what was available. The room discount was still more than our original plan so we flipped a coin while on the phone with customer service to decide. First flip came up POR and my wife said well lets do 2 out of 3 haha! It was obvious what we wanted so now heading in Oct to our first stay at the GF, outer building lagoon view (King requested-believe there are not many fingers crossed). We are so excited!! Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Congratulations, you will love the GF and October is a wonderful time of year.....just remember, we all stayed at the GF once for the first time, and as we can all tell you, none of us has stayed for the last time -- the GF spoils you for all other resorts.
