Morning everyone!!

Mizners doesn't take reservations right? Tips to get a seat? How is the food?

Good questions!! I'd love to know tips for getting seats as well!

We never had a problem getting seat in there, but Its been getting real hard with the villa's to get a seat in there. Also, with the weddings!! They don't take reservations but you can take your drink out to the balcony next to the men's shop up there. They open at 4 is I remember correct and its very easy then, but the later is gets the more crowded it gets.

The menu is small and so are portions but very good.

What makes the deluxe rooms deluxe club level in the main building? I am thinking of making the switch like @Circusgirl to GF from WL. I am torn. I am trying to find the best option for a little section off to the side to put my son in his pack and play for sleeping.

This is the one we stay in when we take our two girls with us. It is the Deluxe Queen in the main building. There aren't very many of these, but they are awesome! On our fall break trip a couple of years ago, one DD got tonsillitis and the doc (that came to us...so awesome) said the two shouldn't sleep together, so concierge had a huge rollaway sent to our room, and it fit perfectly! There would be plenty of space for a pack and play!image.jpg
The rollaway was against the wall where the picture hangs next to the wet bar. There is more space than appears in the picture, and it was totally out of the way!

Whoops, I was just reading over on the CL thread that you are interested in the Deluxe King room (not the queen). I posted pics of the deluxe king turret room earlier on this thread, and it's even better than the Deluxe Queen! I can post them again if you can't find the others. Otherwise, good luck with your decision! I will say that the Deluxe king turret is the quietest room of any we've stayed in because it has a small, private hallway leading to it!

Thanks for this info!!

Okay- I officially made the switch! I am in a deluxe king - now what type of room location requests do I want to make. :) We want it to be convenient to get to the lounge and close to the elevator.

Also- I have celiac, has anyone stayed here GF?

I would ask for fourth floor (lounge floor). There are two king turret rooms on the fourth floor, one with a view of MK and one on the monorail side. 4421 is closest to the lounge and elevator and has a view from Poly all the way around to MK/castle. 4021 is fifth floor directly above 4421 and 4321 is 3rd floor directly below. I haven't stayed in any on the monorail side, but others have said the view is really nice there too. I'm not sure if you would rather walk around the atrium (on the 4th floor to get to the lounge) or if you would rather just hop on the elevator from the 3rd or 5th floor -as a second/third choice?? The elevator in the main building is very slow, but if you don't mind carrying the baby, there is an internal staircase connecting floors 3-5...if you want a MK view room. I hope that made sense.

As for the celiac part, my sister's husband has it too, so I've been questioning chefs at different CLs to see how much they know/what they can do (so far, Poly, GF, and BC). All of the chefs seemed somewhat experienced on the topic, and it seemed like they would be very accommodating. I'm not sure if this makes you feel any better since I don't have any firsthand experience:( You will need to note your condition on your reservation (you may already know this). Good luck with your room request! I'm excited for you! I think you are going to LOVE it:)

Morning everyone!!!

In all the times I've sat in there, I have never seen anyone tip to get a seat. There is nothing they can do if there is nothing available. However, we have had the staff help move a couple of heavy chairs for us and we just tipped generously after we had a drink.

The menu is small and portions are small, but very good.

I meant do you have any suggestions to get a seat since it's often crowded :)

We switched from WL to GF...I wasn't happy about it because we are used to WL but now I'm excited. There are too many reports of problems already with construction at WL.

All of your comments were awesome! Thank you so much!!!! I am excited! Now I am trying to rearrange dining reservations to see what would make the most sense with my new hotel :)

Which signature restaurant at GF is better for a 2 year old eating at 5:15. So we would eat early, and we make him not be loud or run around in public? But which would be better? Thanks.

People seem to be somewhat split between Citricos and Narcoossee's, but for us, Narcoosee's wins hands-down!! We like the food there better than Cali Grill now, and the view from Narcoossee's is really beautiful! Honestly, Narcoossee's is not a quiet restaurant, so I don't think your two year old will be a problem. Hope this helps:)

You're awesome- thanks! :)

Is the WL starting the new DVC-related construction or is it something else?

I am waiting not very patiently for our travel agent to get back to me with official prices.

I am getting pretty excited about switching from WL to GF!
You can always go to the general Disney booking site (assuming that's where she booked) and run the prices. And then make the decision and tell her what to do for you. I'm an agent and the prices in the consumer site and the TA site are the same. This way you can think about your decision while you wait to hear back from her. :) just a thought.

I was busy booking our FP+ this morning and then found your pix :worship:

My fav was the one from the boat of the dock, felt like I was there.

Thanks for taking the time to post!!!

I'm thankful to have an original "portrait " of dd and I you took of us.:)

Glad you switched, I think for summer its a great location. For the 3rd time I had to move dates due to kids schedules BUT still going so fine with me!!!

So glad everyone enjoyed the pictures!

I'm happy about the change. I especially can't wait to spend time at the beautiful pools and beach and to enjoy the special food offerings. Best is looking forward to sharing it with my friends.

Thanks! That's what I've done but we booked off of a bounceback offer which changes things a little. Hoping for good news tomorrow!

This room is awesome. I love looking at these pics, although seeing them again is making me want to call Disney and book something now :rolleyes1.

I can't help with requests, but wanted to say I think you made a great choice, you are going to love it!!! The GF is great in itself, but RPC is just amazing :wizard:.

I'm sure you will love the GF. The WL is one of our favorites, but we also love the GF ::yes::.

The GF is a great resort and I think it's good alternative to the WL :goodvibes.

Disney is a great place to be with friends, and being at the GF is even better :).

Hoping for good news tomorrow!

I'm sure you'll get great news pixiedust:.
