I hear you about saving up. I started saving for our wedding (we're paying for everything ourselves) about a year and a half ago. Considering bills and school expenses, I have enough for all our attire saved currently.

As long as you aren't planning on going absolutely crazy (and, that first budget you get might be a bit =]), I think it is very doable to save in 2.5 years.

well we are just going to do the escape package to keep the cost down low,. not add on too many extras (i say that now....). our big cost is getting to florida though as we live in the UK. since i'm set on an october wedding (dont ask why as i dont really know!) i thought 18months was too soon for 2012 but 2013 will be plenty of time.

I agree. Flying in the US at this time can be quite frightening with gas prices. I was checking for next summer (for our planning session), and I was a little scared.

At least with waiting a little longer, there's time for flight prices to go down (fingers crossed).

Me and my fiance are really hoping to do ours August 23rd. I know its probably really early, but I have already done so much research and planning into it. I am the HUGE planning type and have been planning my wedding since I was 4 and watching cinderella on the livingroom floor ! When I found out that Disney held weddings about a year ago, I was dead set on having a Disney wedding ! We now have our 6 month old daughter and want her to be our flower girl I know August is a little hot for a wedding, but I want to get married on our annaversary !

Yay for 2013 brides!!! It's a little while from now, but I know all of you can already taste it. Atleast I can DF and I are thinking 2013, and I'd like to shoot for October (our 10th dating anniversary, and our bdays are all around that time!).

well we've just found out that we are expecting a baby in january so have decided to slightly prospone the wedding so i will no longer be a 2013 bride :'(

we've set the date of 14.02.2014 aside from it being Valentines Day, its also a really funky date

now i've got to go and adjust my ticker............
