2013 Vacations

I'm going to head out west for a while and try to hit the wine country. Yes, I wanna get sauced on my vacation. :thumbsup2

Wonderful to read about everyone's exicting trips :thumbsup2! Doubtful 2013 will hold any big trips for us, rather a few fun getaways :goodvibes. However we're excited to be planning a 2014 trip for our 50th anniversary!! Can't wait! :lovestruc

4 night cruise on Disney Dream this month. Son getting married in November so that is it for this year.

MJ

Long time no see MJ, so nice to see you on community brd. :goodvibes! Congrats on your DS's upcoming marriage :lovestruc, how are the girls doing? I rarely visit cruise brd anymore, so miss reading about all your cruise adventures. Take care :)

:thumbsup2 probably cheaper than getting sauced at Epcot!

We go to Napa every other month to pick up our shipment from Chandon. So many wineries....hard to decide which to try!

DH & I had a long weekend in Disneyland last month. We have a weekend in Carmel in June.

Trying to decide when to go to New York this summer. Son and daughter-in-law moved to Hampton Bay 2 months ago and we want to visit. We'll probably see them on a weekend, stay in NYC for a few night and back to visit with them again for another weekend.

June 2013 Jacksonville , Fl for graduation Will try hit Bush Gardens an Sea World

June 2013 WDW with Boys Scouts for the week that may be trip right now

September - Atlanta see Football with Boys Scouts

Going try do things close home this year.

My husband and I will take a weekend trip to New Orleans. Our DVC pts are being used this year for our son's honeymoon.
We're also expecting our first grandchild. Our daughter has diabetes and her OB is keeping a close eye on her. She will probably start seeing a high risk doctor pretty soon. We don't want to be far from home in case she needs us.
We are planning our grand baby's first WDW trip in a couple of years though.:)

Be careful! DW came home pregnant when we went there - same for a friend of ours a couple months later!:cool1:

To be fair, neither were unplanned :)
Note to self: NEVER vacation in orange beach.

Chicago with my friend and her family. this is my under $500 trip (shared expenses)

Waterfalls in upper michigan (a cheap trip, No hotel needed)

Wisconsin dells ( but this really dosent count since my family will be using my house as there hotel, so No real break for me. Im hoping to go wizzard quest which is my idea of fun)

Planning a few days in gulf shores/Orange beach for ds's birthday in August. and a week in wdw in November for dgd's first trip.

I don't know what we are doing this year. In July we have a wedding in CT so we are spending three days there, we always go to the Catskills in upstate NY for a week but due to a serious illness in a family member we may cancel that. Of course I'd love to go to disney but my DH would like a beach vacation. I've been looking into the gulf side of FL - hopefully a week in the summer.

A few weeks in the UK to visit hubby's family and our friends. Not what I would 100% call a vacation but I love his family and they live in touristy areas (London, Canturbury and Maidstone) so we try to take the kids to do a few fun things when there. I can't wait to meet my 4 nieces and nephews that have been born in the last 2 years.

Our real vacation will be a few weeks at Disney World. We don't go to the parks every day (our kids are only 3 and 5) so it is much more relaxing.

Taking an Eastern Europe tour in May - Poland, Hungry, Croatia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, and Vienna and Berlin.
Next December I plan on going to WDW.

With one kid going off to college in the fall, and one kid going to the 2014 Rose Parade in Dec/January, our vacation fund is shot.

I am hoping to rent my friend's place outside of Rehoboth Beach for a couple of days. She offers the "old friends" rate- which is very affordable! :thumbsup2

If the planets all align, we are hoping to tag along with my DS's high school band and head to Pasadena. I'm not sure how much this will cost us, but oldest DS wants this to be his graduation trip. We will probably have to take out a loan or open a line of credit, because I don't think we will be able to pull it off otherwise. I have NEVER EVER put a vacation on credit (always cash, every.single.time) and this makes me extremely antsy. But you only march in the Rose Parade once and I really want to be there for the experience!!

WE are doing 10 days in Southern California for Spring Break. 4 nights in Anaheim to go to Disneyland and to the WonderCon Comic Book Convention, then 6 nights in San Diego, staying on Coronado Island! :cheer2:

DC for a long weekend in March and a Carnival cruise to Turks & Caicos and the Bahamas in October

For Easter/spring break we are heading to my parents' house in Florida. It's midstate. It will be pretty laid back - the kids will swim everyday and we will just hang out. We may head to Typhoon Lagoon one day.

In May DH and I are going to Maui for a week. He earned this trip thru his job so they are paying for hotel, airfare and many of the meals. That's my kind of vacation!

And finally at the end of July we are taking our family vacation, this year it's to WDW. We usually go every other year but we skipped last year because the baby was so little - we went to the beach instead. Can't wait to get back!

For DD's spring break in early March we are going to WDW (AP's from last fall and DVC)

Late May we are going to Hilton Head- again DVC

DH and I are going on the DVC member cruise in Sept

DH and I are going on a cruise in late Oct with his brother and SIL.

I still have 7 vac days that aren't booked and will use those and one off's.

Looks like Hawaii in June with DVC. We have 6 nights booked at Aulani. I just have to pull together the rest.

We have our Marriott timeshare with weeks to use, so I'm also thinking if going to Williamsburg, but I need to run it by the family.

Disney in December & hopefully Japan next year. I'm dying to get back overseas.
