2013 Vacations

We've had some major home repairs and dental issues come up so no big vacation for us either. I hope to get to San Antonio for a few days and maybe take a short trip to Arkansas this Fall.

Just got back from 4 nights on the Wonder. Hubby said that was it for the year (house project baloney or something like that)

But in the process of badgering him for an Alaskan cruise in August.

No commitment yet, but I see him researching on his iPad regularly. :)

You guys have some awesome trips planned!! We're doing just a night away to go see Bon Jovi! Disney on ice show in February and I would love to do a weekend in Lancaster.

Heading to Yokohama (greater Tokyo) for my SIL wedding. Heading in June for just over 3 weeks. Not looking forward to the 13 hour flight from Detroit.

Hopefully a weekend trip to Niagara Falls....a lot is up in the air for us so maybe more, but that's it for right now.

Spring break in Florida to visit my mom.

No WDW though. I'm trying to talk the kids and DH into Discovery Cove, Sea World and Aquatica instead.

End of April , DH and I are going to Sandals Whitehouse in Jamaica.

This summer my mom and her boyfriend are taking my kids on a 6 week RV adventure out west.

Then my DH and I will take the kids when they return to DC for a long weekend.

We are going somewhere the week before Easter, our spring break. But I can't get DH to commit to a location yet.

We have tentative plans for LA/DLR in the summer.

Its either France for 2 weeks this summer or depending on other things we will do a shorter vacation somewhere else. I want Maui.

We're going to disneyland for spring break. We plan to see Hollywood and San Diego while we're in California too. Too excited!

Hoping to go to Colorado (Durango, Silverton, Co Springs).

May instead go to Baton Rouge or Santa Claus, IN for a short trip.

All depends on finances.

Most of our $ is going toward paying off debt this year...but we are taking a small beach vacay in June...4 nights in Gulf Shores, AL.
Hoping to hit Disney next year!!

If we're really lucky, we may make it to Thanksgiving at Mrs. Tex's sister's house in Ann Arbor. (Picture a shark feeding frenzy, with pie. LOTS of pie.) Otherwise, a few days off here and there to keep from losing vacation days, but not going anywhere except maybe a day trip or two. Nothing big before 2014 or maybe 2015.

Going to Orange Beach for the week of July 4th with my DH's family. Should be a great time!

Next year I am booked for a week on the Fantasy.

We're doing a coastal CA drive up to Monterey for a few days and heading up to Vancouver for a week. Not sure what else, as we're moving this summer but don't know where yet.

We just got back from a 7 night Carribean cruise, and DH & I will be going to Punta Cana at the end of the month, he earned the trip through work. Summer vacation will be something fairly close & inexpensive. We have a lot of home projects we've been putting off in favor of WDW trips, so we plan to focus on those his year.

We are going to hilton head in April, then on a cruise to the Bahamas and a trip to Disney in August.

An 18 day safari trip to Kenya and Tanzania, Africa in the Fall!! :yay:

Also, a 4 night Disney Dream cruise with a week at DW to follow this Spring.:)

I'm on my first vacation right now. Hubby and I are down in St Petersburg Fl. Stop at Disney on the way down and stopping on the way home. Going to wdw over spring break, summer and Christmas. Maybe Buffalo NY in July. Also going to Philly in July.

Spring break--4 days in Fairbanks (sort of a "staycation" but it's a 6 hour drive. Will be cancelled if there is extreme cold weather since my car doesn't have a plug in and I don't want to pay to fly and rent a car.

Summer--I am thinking of taking a job in the lower 48, and if I do, we will drive the Alcan highway.

November--Also not really a "vacation" but I'm planning on going to the ASHA (American Speech Hearing Association) convention in Chicago with my friend. We'll earn CEU's and get to spend some time together.
