I'm getting married Dec. 7, 2013 and we plan on going to disney Dec. 9th for a yet to be determined amount of days.. and we need, between now and then, to save (and graduate.. i've graduated college but my fiance won't be done until fall of '12) and it's KILLING ME anticipating every day but knowing I can't do a lick about it for two years LOL.

I highly doubt we will afford a trip before then considering we need the money for THEN haha... but it is truly sad. Because one moment I am deliriously happy planning (uhh I am way more excited for the honeymoon than the actual wedding) and the next I am totally depressed that I have to wait SO LONG.

Is anyone else in the same boat? Is your next Disney trip so far off that you pray the world won't end in 2012 so that you'll actually get to go? :rolleyes1

Sigh!!

My vacay was 17 months in the planning. I still have six months to go. Its not as long as yours, but I am going to actually hate it when the wait is over. You heard me right! Take this time to improve yourself and plan for yourself. I've lost 32 lbs so far, and have 28 to go, I'm going to buy a very nice bikini and wardrobe for my trip. This trip will be its own reward for me.

Wow congratulations! That's wonderful!

I know I am grateful for the time to get myself wedding/honeymoon fit! haha... and you're right about the wait.. I almost feel like once it's finally here that last day at Disney will be all the harder for all this anticipation. That's half the fun isn't it? I feel silly for all the time I spend dreaming.

My fiance has never been to disney, and I've never been there in the winter months to see it all decorated for the holiday... so we both have an awesome new experience waiting for us :goodvibes

I am in the 2013 boat as well :sad1:
I have already started making a list of where we want to eat and thinking about things we want to do. Dont know when we are going yet, or how long, but definetly in 2013. We took our DS on a trip this year since he is going to high school next year. And now my DD wants one before she goes to high school. So 2013 it is. I aint gonna argue with her lol.
Plenty of time for me to lose some weight. Put 20lbs on this winte:sad1:

Congrats to you both! The weight loss and the wedding!:goodvibes

Heres to hoping the world makes it 2013 ;)

Thank you! And thanks for letting me know i'm not alone :thumbsup2

I make lots of lists too.. but it's silly because I know it will change once everything is able to be booked anyway haha so it's all in vain but it keeps me somewhat sane. I haven't been there since '07 so I really miss it!

I love me some lists! Yes they will change again and again. That way, you can update and make ANOTHER list! LOL

We're in the 2013 bracket at the moment too :scared1: It does seem a long time away, but when you count the paydays until then, it doesn't seem half as much for the amount of saving that needs to be done :rotfl:

That is an excellent point!! :lmao:

We will be there in 2013 as well! I am not sure when/where or how many days.

We are going in 12 days for 6 days and again in Sept/Oct for 9 days. No matter how long the wait or when you go, the planning is always so much fun!

Congrats on your upcoming wedding and like others have said, save all you can now. The wedding and honeymoon will cost enough. You will be shocked what $10 per week extra or loose change can add up to over the next couple of years!

We're with you in the 2013 boat! We went this year, and now need the almost 2 years to save for the next one! I was planning our 2011 trip for just under a year, and I agree, by the time it came I was so sad that it was almost over. That's why I'd love to get into early planning mode already, and we've only been back a month. I'll be keeping an eye on the Fantasyland expansion, the POR refurb, and everything else going on between now and then - it's too much fun to stay away. :)

I am another one waiting until 2013 for our next trip. I graduate from nursing school in December of 2012 and then will be taking a graduation celebration vacation as well as a grand gathering to WDW in February of 2013. Our last trip to WDW was in 2008, with a trip to DL in 2009. I am having major withdrawals:lmao:.

Us too!! We are still undecided between January 2013 for DS 10th birthday and Sept/Oct 2013 for MNSSHP. It will be sometime in 2013 though. We've already started saving and planning.

We just got DVC so I am planning away for the next 20 years :lmao:!!!

Seriously, I Disneymooned in 1997 at CBR! I would say that with planning a wedding and planning your trip your time will go by faster than you will know!

IF you are like the rest of us, you will change your hotel 100 times between now and then :rotfl2:. Any plans of where you want to stay???? That is the most important detail of trip and the rest will all fall into place.

I have been twice to WDW in December and the decorations are magical!!! I stayed at CBR one year and AKL one year. Both were beautifully decorated as are the parks. The deluxes are usually a bit more decorated than the moderates or values, but they are also festive too.

GOod luck deciding and planning princess:

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I have to agree that planning can be a huge part of the Fun. We're going in November 2011 and i booked the vacation in September 2010. At the time i booked the trip it seemed so far away, but now it's almost time to book my dining reservations! Enjoy the wait - Happy Planning:)

Count us in the 2013 boat too. We just returned yesterday from our first WDW trip and I'm so sad it's over..I am 7 months pregnant and it was 90 degrees and humid there, so we had to take it very slow. DS4 had a BLAST, and so did we, but we are already looking forward to going back and doing all the things we missed this time.

We figure, baby will be a year and half if we go again in late March of 2013. I don't want to take an infant, so we are waiting two years.

I can't wait until I can actuallly start planning for it....

Thank you!! :goodvibes

My fiance really wants to stay at AKL!! And you're right I can't believe it's already April 2011 for crying out loud (we got engaged in '09). It will go fast overall but some days I just go crazy haha. I can't wait to visit in December, I've only ever been there in the sweltering months!

Thank you!! It has been fun to dream up different itineraries haha.

Good luck with your ADR's :)

We are in the 2013 boat too. I want to wait and go back when all the construction is complete at MK (I thought it was a bit depressing when were there last fall :sad2:), so we decided that since I turn 40 and DD turns 10 in 2013 that we will plan and save for a blowout trip that summer. DD wants to camp and since I refuse, we've compromised on a cabin at the Fort. Ideally, I would like to spend about 10/12 days so that we can do the parks, DQ and TL and BB (we've never done anything other than the parks & mini golf). We also want to plan some really good dinners.

I've already started some lists and getting some really good info from the boards on the Fort, AP's vs. non-expiration tickets, etc.
