2013 Marathon Map?

Any idea why the Marathon map has not been posted, but all of the others have been? It has said coming soon since before registration opened! DH says we are not signing up for anything until he sees the course lol. Any hints when it will show up? Thanks!!

The Half map is the 2012 map (labeled within the actual map) so I wouldn't trust any of the maps at this point. Maybe they are tweaking the Full Marathin map for the anniversary. We know they are planning something unique for Mile 20 so perhaps more surprises are in store.

Seriously though, they were throwing maps up left and right last year before they were finalized (I remember seeing them at first without first aid/water stops marked), so the fact that they don't have SOMETHING up now makes me think things are going to be slightly modified.

While they may make some minor changes,it would seem unlikely they would make any major ones--gotta work with the roads and parks that are there.

If you take a look at 2012 maps, you'll get a pretty reasonable idea of what to expect.

I would think other than possibly getting a short run thru the new Fantasyland (depending on what is open -right now one way in/out) the map will be the same as 2012. They don't change the full course since like Maura said there is only so much road they can shut down.

I was under the impression the course was changing this year, given the “huge surprise” at mile 20. If I remember correctly, mile 20 is currently on a godforsaken highway.

Right, that's what I meant. I remember running pretty close to the construction walls this past year and briefly thinking "Hmm, I wonder if the course will just take a quick right turn (?? I think it was right and not left) here and go through new Fantasyland?" I really cannot see them changing much else...for example I'm sure they would never change it so that MK is later in the race because they want to get all of the runners through and out before the park opens for the day, etc.
