I am booking 2 rooms today at BCV for 10/19/13 and have a family member coming along with 3 boys, ages (at time of travel) 7, 5 & 3. Can they fit in a 1br? If the 3 year old is out of a crib what are the sleeping options?

Also when does the F&W festival schedule for 2013 come out? We are picking this week at random but I wish we had some basis for what's going on before we book...of course we will have fun, but it'd be nice to build the trip around things we want to see and do.

Anybody go during that time of year this year? We usually go to WDW in mid November but have had a few misses with the weather the last few years and are aiming for 80+ for our visit, not 40 degree mornings and cold, windy days like we just had a few weeks ago on our trip. Presumably mid October should be better than mid November?

If they are staying on points, then DVC will allow five in a 1 bedroom. But your family member will have to provide an air mattress, bedding and towels for the fifth person.

It should start September 27 and run through November 10 or 11.

We've been the last three Octobers (once early in the month, once mid-month and once later in the month). Early in the month was HOT like 90 degrees hot (most of the locals we talked to said it felt more like early September rather than early October).

Mid-month and later in the month were perfect, low-to-mid 80s no humidity. Perfect weather for pool time but not so hot that it made touring unbearable. It's an awesome time of year to be at Disney!

Was there that time of year this year for 11 days. Weather was about as perfect as it could possibly be with about mid-80s during the day and low 60s at night with little humidity and very little rain the entire period. Crowds were manageable but heavy and particularly crowded the weekend of Oct 19 to 21. Besides wine and dine what you also have that time of year is Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween Party usually 3 to 4 nights a week (that also begins in late Sep and goes through Oct and is well worth the price of admission).

Thanks Missy, they will be staying on points. I am booking the rooms today with our points. I guess you can put an aerobed next to the master bed?

That's great to hear. We were blindsided a bit this year when the weather turned unexpectedly cold towards the end of our trip just a few weeks ago. We found it really cold at night a few nights, and hadn't packed appropriately for us or the kids.

sounds good to me! I can deal with some crowds, was it less crowded during the week or generally crowded throughout? Of course with a larger group next year than just our family, it's always a bit tricky navigating crowds but it does seem as if there are very few quiet times at WDW anymore.

MJC, did you get your rooms today or were they all gone?

That weekend saw Toy Story stand-by times of up to 90 minutes and the same for Soarin. It seemed lighter during the week but still heavy. I look at it as it was more crowded than I expected for Oct but still a lot less than Christmas time, Easter, mid-March to mid-April, or summer.

No, did not book but everything is available. I forgot we have to call to book because we are using transferred points, so I just have to find the time to call.

We are just inside 11 months and all room choices are available for all nights right now.
