*2013* epcot food & wine festival 9/27-11/11

I'm going to write out again what you can book and when.

August 9:
Culinary Demonstrations
Beverage Seminars
Mixology Seminars

This applies ONLY to the $12-15 seminars at the Festival Center. Early booking is ONLY for: Annual passholders, TIW members and DVC members. Everyone else will have to wait until August 13.

Early booking August 9-12 must be done by phone - you can't do it online until August 13.

AP/DVC/TIW can get a $2 discount on these lower-cost demonstrations/seminars but:
-Only those that take place Monday-Thursday. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are not discounted.
- You must book by phone to get the discount. Even after August 13. This is the information that TIW is putting out.

August 13:
Any of the Festival special events may be booked starting this date.

That means all events listed here:
http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2013-epcot-food-and-wine-festival-special-events/

If you want one of the regular Thursday night Flying Fish wine dinners (these are listed at the bottom of the linked Disney Food Blog page) you book those directly through Flying Fish and they give you the number on the link. If you want the Flying Fish dinner on October 10, that is considered a festival event and you must book it August 13 like any other festival event. (It will probably fill up the first day of booking, too.)

This is also the starting date to book the lower cost demonstrations/seminars if you are NOT TIW/DVC/AP. Online booking for everybody opens for them on August 13.

All the special events must be booked by phone except the following which can be booked online starting August 13:

Party for the Senses (general admission only)
3D Dessert Party (general admission only)
Scotland: Land of Food and Drink - September 28 (general admission only)
Spirits Confidential - November 1 (general admission only)

If you want the reserved seating options for any of the above 4 events you must book by phone. Reserved seating is not available to book online.

Thank you for this info!!!! I was so confused about what was going to be available on August 9th. Now if they'd just give us the list for the seminars available tomorrow I'd be a happy girl :rolleyes1

Yay for details! Unbelievably blocked by my network at work, but at least I can view on my phone by turning off wireless. Now to plan!

Thanks so much! Seems like less "celebrity" chefs at least at first glance - which is ok.

Looking when I am there (Oct 11 - 18th) think most interested in Lasseter Family Winery on Thurs the 17th

Maybe this is a stupid question, but when I call tomorrow to book the deminars, will they charge me over the phone or do I get charged when I show up in a couple months? :confused3

Sorry, first time to the F&W Festival this year! :cool1:

They will charge you tomorrow when you call.

Am I remembering incorrectly or in the past have they included some beer in the beverage seminars? I only see one (oct 8. ) and its not while we're there (oct 16-26). No big deal my boyfriend can get beer elsewhere and be happy, just want to be sure I'm not missing anything.

For the first time since I've been going to the festival I am not interested in booking a single seminar.

There are beer seminars on October 2, 3, 8 and 9. There are a few TBDs but of course we don't know if they will be beer yet. One is on October 16.

And we posted the info before the DFB.

Scoop!

Printed and selections have been made.

Doesn't bother me if it is a Disney chef or a "celebrity" chef. Everytime we've had awesome food and drink!

Now to wait until Tuesday to get it all booked! :cool1::thumbsup2

There are a few that interest me while I'm there but I think most of them will conflict with some of the bigger events I'm hoping to book. Way too many Whiskey Mixology offerings while I'm there. I'll pass on the Driscoll Berry ones. The only one I might book would be the Cognac one but I don't even know if I'd like it. Maybe one or two Culinary Demos that don't conflict with anything else but the Wine ones all seem to conflict with other events for me. Now to update my schedules to see what does & doesn't conflict.

Ah thanks I wasn't looking too closely since those don't fall into my dates. That's okay, less to schedule and beer will be plentiful elsewhere. We'll probably try a few food ones and a mixology. Maybe Keegan gerhard or gale Gand if the boyfriend wants to try for one of them. Otherwise, 3d dessert party and a tequila lunch (obviously can't book those til Tuesday) will be on our schedule.

Question: So tomorrow as a DVC member I can't book any of the "kitchen memories" correct? I just don't want to miss out on the one we want.

Thanks so much!

Correct, not until 8/13.
