2013 dates

Does anyone know when the 2013 Itenerary for the Disney Magic will be announced? They only thing showing for 2013 on Disney Cruise website is for the Dream and the Fantasy.

There are many threads asking this same question. No one knows. Guesses are as far out as April 2012.

We were told a couple of weeks ago while booking another cruise on the Magic, that it would not be any time soon. It would possibly be after the new year and maybe into spring.

My TA doesn't think it's going to be until February or March 2012. :sad1:

On the plus side, gives me more time to pay of the credit card :lmao:

I really am thinking it will be April before we all know.. or at least my TA mentioned April. and it does give me time to get my ducks in a row.. still hoping for Europe.. of some sort..

Hopefully we will be on the ship again when they release the dates for the Magic and Wonder itineraries!!!

I have been off the boards for a while but wondered if there have been any rumors floating around in regards to summer 2013...I know the fantasy and dream will be in Florida but what about other ships.....shouldn't an announcement be soon?

There have been several threads on this in the last month or so. The consensus seems to be that we'll hear from DCL in the spring, possibly April. Lots of rumors as to where.

Hi Everyone, just wanted to pass on the latest that I heard. Called DCL to change something on one of my reservations, and of course asked if there was any news on the Magic and Wonder's 2013 itineraries. The very kind CM said she has heard nothing, not even a rumor, of when they'll be released or where they're going, but she is hoping for somewhere exciting. I'm sure some CMs hear tidbits and others don't, but this one didn't even have any info to share.

If it does turn out to be in the Spring I'll hopefully be able to book onboard and get some kind of incentive...

Hope everyone has a great week!

Quick question for those "in the know"...
We are booked for May 2012 for Alaska. Made that booking during the last Opening Day.
So, it sounds like the 2013 dates will be released a month or two before we will be onboard again.

Which is better:
Book our 2013 cruise on Opening Day for the best rate?
Or wait and book while on our May 2012 cruise for the OBBC and discounts?

Thanks!

Book on opening day and then "reshop" it onboard....keep whichever one gives you the best price!!!

Book 1st day of release. Once you're onboard, you can rebook it for a better price. The discount will be off the then current price so it's not always a better deal to rebook but either way you'll have the lowest price you can get. Booking early insures best choice of cabins too. When they rebook onboard, they transfer your deposit $$ and cabin # to the new res which will have a new confirmation # too.

That's interesting because when I tried to do that on my recent Dream cruise the CM at the future cruise desk said I couldn't, so I left my ressie alone even though reshopping would have saved me money. She said I would have had to put down a whole new deposit & I would have lost my connecting staterooms. I did not have $1400 at that time to pay a whole new deposit.

I like the Pacific Coastal Cruises.

Wish there were more options than Mexico. We would have tried to do that time frame for the holidays. I just have no desire to go there. Not sure why.

I also think that if the Wonder did 3 or 4 or 5 day cruises out of LA it would be very successful as a tie in to Disneyland the way they have done for WDW.

Anyway, like everyone else, still waiting.

I too wish they would do something in the Pacific other than Mexican Riviera. :thumbsup2 The problem with a 3 or 4 day out of LA is that it takes so long to get anywhere. Now if they would do a LA to Orlando and an Orlando to LA every now and again it would spice up choices. :cool1: Have not done that itinerary since the last onces have always been right when the DD is headed back to school after a break, won't miss the next one.

If you use a TA, then the booking agents can't touch your reservation. You may be able to have both bookings, and then your TA could cancel the first and change your rooms to the connecting? I haven't had to do that yet, so I'm not sure about that part.

Exactly! You could double-book and have them add your TA to the new booking. Then once home, he/she could move the original cabin to the new ressie. That is easy for a TA to do.

I emailed this suggestion to DCL a while back. Why not just toss in a few PC crossings each year and at least 1 during the summer. We'd love that!!! :cloud9:

I have put that on our last 3 evaluation forms, maybe if enough suggest Canal crossings as a regular option we might see a couple a year.
