2013 dates

If the EBTA 2013 Leaves from New York that means that it is HIGHLY unlikely to call on CASTAWAY CAY, which is a deal breaker for many. Not me I have been there. We really hope for a 14 night EBTA. :cool1: That would be our 6th and GOLD Cruise

We are looking for a 4-day Bahamian Cruise for June or early July 2013. Maybe a stay at WDW before or after the cruise. We just need to find a date and get money together for a deposit. We probably won't be able to do the deposit just yet but by February at the latest. It will be our first time with DCL and our first or second time in Florida (we might do Universal Orlando next summer, but right now it's not looking good).

can't wait to hear what's being offered in 2013 - we're hoping to move a dummy date to that time, and will be curious to see what our choices are!

My family would love to do a B2B eastern and western med cruises. It's great that only Barcelona and Civitavecchia are repeat ports from the previous med cruises too. Quick question: we have a dummy cruise for the sole purpose of transferring to a 2013 itinerary. If DCL offers alternating eastern and western med cruises and we decide to do the B2B, would we get the 10% discount on both cruises even though we only have one dummy cruise to transfer?

No, you would only get the discount on 1 cruise. Doesn't matter how many you book B2B, each cruise is a separate ressie and to get the discount for each one you need to either book them each onboard or have as many dummy dates as you want to move them to.

Started looking up shore excursions for the rumored ports...look really interesting! DCL did some of them in 2007, so you can go back and look at those options. If they do a back to back, it would be a really interesting cruise. I'd love that (and it would make the flight over worth it!). Hoping to hear something soon!

In 2012, the Magic will sail out of NY from late May until Late September. Then it will sail from Galveston from late September until the end of December. I think it will continue to sail from Galveston in January and February, and possibly move to NY in March. All of this is pure speculation. :teeth:

The Grand Cayman port scheduled shows the Magic in port there until April 30. That implies that it will continue the Westerns from Galveston at least through the end of April. I didn't see any sign of the Magic on the schedule for the rest of 2013.

If they are doing Transatlantic, that's a late start -- guess they'll be going in May. Did they go in May last time? I know in 2007 they went in April and the sailing was awful

I know that this year, the TA crossing left on May 14th b/c we had friends on it that were begging us to go w/ them, but there was no way we could go b/c our ODD had an AP test @ school on Friday the 13th. :rotfl: It would have been too tough to get there, as well as having the kids miss that much school, esp. @ the end of school w/ ODD having semester exams and all.

They did tell us after that the sailing was smooth, which was way better than it was in 2007. So maybe that is why they'll be doing (what appears to be thru the sleuthing) another May TA come 2013.

HTHs!:thumbsup2

We did the TA back in 2007 and after hearing the horror stories from April were dreading it, but it was smooth as glass all six days. In fact, there were some days you couldn't even tell we were moving :thumbsup2

The 2010 eastern TA was April 10-24.

I was on a Transatlantic cruise this spring (April 28 - May 13) from Ft. Lauderdale to Copenhagen, and we had only one rough day at sea.

I would do a TA from Port Canaveral (or Ft. Lauderdale/Miami on another cruise line), but I'm not interested in cruising from Galveston.

I just want to thank everyone for researching and speculating about the 2013 dates:flower3:. I can't get my family to talk about summer 2012-much less 2013-it's so nice to come here and listen to other planners:grouphug:

Aint that the truth! My friends think I am totally crazy so I come here to feel more normal.

I am dreaming of those possible B2B Med cruises. It will be my 50th birthday and this could be a great way to celebrate!

my husband's got me checking this board daily for 2013 dates so we can plan this trip date and get our life in order!:rotfl2:
