You make a big enough batch and I don't think it will matter if the measurements are off!

:goodvibes

Congrats to the graduate!

Thanks! I was thinking if I just poured a bottle of each ingredient together and whatever room was left at the top poured in something fizzy, threw some fruit-like substances to float around and had plenty of ice available it might work! :wizard:
Or, alternatively, I'll end up with a big green mess...Which might take me all summer to consume.
On second thought, that might not be so bad...:scared1:

This time next week I'll be sitting by the pool sipping my drink. party: Does anyone know what time SAB closes?

Good for you!! I'm right behind you...coming in on Wednesday, staying at POR, and checking into BC on Thursday!
Yeah for us!!

Quick question...I made our flight reservations today and had to take a late morning flight getting us into Orlando at 2pm. I'm trying to make our dinner plans for that night and am wondering about how long it takes for magical express to get us to the YC. TIA

Well if your flight ends up being on time, I wouldn't expect to be at YC anytime before 3:30. You never know if YC will be the first stop by DME or the last. Then depending on how many people are in line before you the check-in could take some time.

Tip: I wouldn't make any ADR that requires a CC hold, you never know how delayed your flight may be and if you can't make the ADR on time, they can charge your card I think $10/person. Instead you might want to make an ADR at either YC, BC, BWI, Swan/Dolphin or EPCOT non-signature rest.

PittPantherfan-

Thank you so much for your detailed report. We are such kindred spirits. And this coming from a SCClemsonfan! I read your report to my wife (who all but refuses to touch a computer) and the whole time she was saying "That's us"! "That's us"!...... (Except for that having kids thingy :rotfl: )

Just shows how Disney can bring folks from different parts of the country, heck the world for that matter (right SueM ;)) together.

Once again, thank you!

Maybe we will see you around the ACC with our change in conferences - looking forward to traveling to some of the games. I think we are in the coastal division so perhaps won't play Clemson? - not sure how all of that works.

Paying online...

I'm sure there's another board for this question, but this one is my favorite

I upgraded our YC stay to CL GV due to the fact that I get a 10% discount on Disney gc's from working for Target, using my Redcard for another 5%, and Pharmacy Rewards for another 5%...and paying for my parents to come down for the same reason. In $50 increments, that's a lot of giftcards. Why can I not pay online??? It keeps coming back as an error! Is this always the case, or just my luck every time I try?? This might not be worth the savings!!! :scared1:
Thanks in advance!

I cannot wait!!! I am soo excited to experience SAB.
Not to hijack but I have a question. We are planning on going back to WDW in October 2014. I would love to stay at BC mostly to experience SAB. I know Florida weather can be iffy but is there a good chance we will be able to use the pool?

Is it a room only reservation??? If so, I think u have to call and pay

If its a package reservation you can pay online going through the old site via " Request Park Maps" link. At least I in April.

Finally picked up Saturday's mail from our mailbox today and there was a fantastic surprise! There was an AP Mickey head magnet in the mail for uspixiedust:

Also, we went shopping for some new shorts for our trip:cool1:

Getting closer:beach:
Oh, I hope I get one! But they don't always mail stuff to Canada :confused3. After years of being a Passholders, this year wdw is finally sending me a Monitor!!!

Can't.hardly.wait! We'll be arriving at BC on Wednesday. I'm so looking forward to this trip. Even DH told me tonight, he's burned out and can't wait to log out. This is HUGE from my hubby. He is computer programmer and logged in 24/7. Anything with "connectivity" is being locked away!
:yay: almost there!

:yay: I can see my potential room, :rotfl:

Looking for reservation suggestions for BC lunch...We will be staying on resort this trip, no parks. Thoughts and ideas for lunch? Thanks in advance....going to work...ugh! 19 days til Disney!!
:cool1:
Beaches & Cream? Although they don't take rezzies. Kouzina? Stroll over to Swan/Dolphin?

Good idea. We usually grab CS if we are flying directly to MCO. Then save the TS for a 2 TS meal later in the trip.

12 more days ( and I AM counting!)

Hi Beach and Yacht Clubbers. I posted this on FB and on the Transportation board, but there are some pretty frequent travelers on this very knowledgeable thread, so I'm posing my question to you...

I'm planning the second half of our Disney and Aruba honeymoon in October and I'm attempting to figure out flights from MCO to AUA. Most options have us stopping in Miami or Fort Lauderdale. There's one nonstop flight, however, but it's on Airtran. I've never flown on that airline and I'd like to hear from people who have.

The flight is at a preferable time of day and would mean getting to Aruba in about 3 hours vs. 8 to 10 on other airlines. That flight is also about $100 less than other airlines.

So basically, what I'm asking is whether you'd pick that Airtran flight over legacy carriers such as American Airlines or US Airways? Thanks for the help!

We've flown AirTran many times and have never had a problem. Congrats on your upcoming marriage!

Thanks! They are both packages. I tried through the old site and I get the grey shaded screen of death when I go into retrieving reservations! Only my luck, maybe I'll try on a pc as I often find issues using the iPad...
Or I could make myself a Sunken Treasure while I call in 125+ giftcards

Now you're talking!!!!!

It could also be Disney website. Major issues with that setup. !!

I need an intervention! I have booked AOA, cancelled, then booked BC, then cancelled, then booked ASMU, then cancelled and I am now back at BC.

I just NEED to experience SAB as well as being in walking distance to Epcot, HS and the Boardwalk.

I *really* hope it lives up to its hype.:thumbsup2

2 months from today and we are there!!!

BC is totally where you need to be:beach:

14 here but who's counting:confused3

Congratulations to your dd!

We are celebrating two summer birthdays - dd's Sweet 16 and ds 13th and also my other dd's 8th grade graduation. Lots of cakes to order!

I am secretary at my kids' school and we just finished yesterday. Still have to work at our big fundraiser (golf tournament) on Monday and then I'm mostly free!!! Still running around like crazy for ds's 12 year old All Star baseball team.

I am day dreaming about Disney and BC way too much!

Hope you didn't have weather like we did here today! Rain and flash flood warnings most of the day.
We've done many a golf tourney fundraisers. Lots of work, but lots of fun!

Still haven't started packing yet...our walk in closet looks like a college dorm room. Stuff EVERYWHERE, just hasn't made it into suitcases yet.

We got ours yesterday too!!! :woohoo:

I'm sad  no AP magnet in my mailbox! Maybe because it's new or I'm just unlucky :confused3? Did you have to request it? I'm so jealous :)

My aunt & flew AirTran out of Detroit last month in to MCO & had a great flight. I would def fly with them again. We flew Delta to Vegas last year & I liked AirTran more.

I've never flown AirTran, but be sure to compare all hidden costs, like luggage fees, and I hear they charge for carry on now too, plus tea, coffee, pop, etc that is not extra on other carriers. Does SW have flights? They have free luggage. Does AirTran leave from MCO or Sanford.

Then again even if you aren't saving money, you are saving time. And vacay time is very valuable!

The only fee for AirTran last month was $25/checked bag. 1 really good sized carry on & another bag/purse was free. The sodas & snacks were free (cookies 1 way & pretzels on way back). The alcohol was the only charged refreshment.

Delta charged for any checked in bag last year to Vegas. I think most airlines are moving towards charging for checked bags. (which is wrong to me)

There was 1 airline Spirit we walked past that only let you bring purse sized bag as carryon & all others were charged. They had a tiny basket to show u what was a carry on!!

I believe Southwest was bought by AirTran or vice versa, their flights are now combined & their desks at airport merged.

Hi everyone! Just popping in to say hello and see what's new. I finally feel like our upcoming trip is actually getting closer...less than a month now until our first stay at BC! I have started getting some clothes shopping done for the trip, and I think I have finalized my ADR's as well.

I am anxious to clean up the piddly little details of our plans and get this show on the road! Could someone give my ticker a kick in the pants? ;)

Good to know! I must have gotten Spirit and AirTran mixed uo! I know one airline started charging for non- alcoholic drinks and carry ons. Totally wrong :crazy2:

Well we came back to reality late Saturday :(. We survived with one cranky teenager that did not do well with the heat and felt nauseated a lot ( didn't help that she wouldn't listen to any advice), another teenager that may have an inner ear issue (doc appt this week - almost collapsed after the airplane ride and ToT and in the 8 straight years has never been an issue), and a sick DD7 at the end of the trip (respiratory with a minor fever). Graduation party Saturday, wake on Friday and Uncle sudden open heart surgery to get past this week. Anyway....

Mixed feelings on everyone's parts about our stay at the BC.
1. We enjoyed our trip but missed be close to MK. It is our favorite park but I enjoyed just strolling over to EP my second favorite.
2. We missed the tropical feel of the Poly.
3. SAB was nice but the size ended up being more annoying getting to things. Everything was a distance and keeping track to DD7 was a little challenging but we finally got a system down. However, getting cocktails was a pain if you didn't have a good server or it was packed. Getting spots were a challenge some days but DD17 found the less used beach side by the dock that I loved on the busy days away from people.
4. Room was nice and clean. Never issues hear and good mouse keeping. I loved the sinks being outside of the toilet/shower area while DH did not. Thin walls were the only downside. Heard the neighbors a few times and I'm sure they heard us. These were not loud conversations and it was mainly when we were by the connecting doors. The other times were probably more so overly obnoxious guests being to loud in the hallway.
5. The only bad wear and tear was the hallway carpeting. The really need to replace this!! It was bunching up in the middle just before our room and bleach stains all over the edges. Very noticeable with the dark color carpeting.
6. Kids used B&C to go a lot and one evening DD17 took DD7 for ice cream and actually got in. They had a cute sister experience but we never got in to try the kitchen sink. DH was never willing to wait 45 minutes to an hour to get in.
7. LOVED Yachtsman Steakhouse!!! OMG the food, the onion rolls , even leftovers the next day were to die for!!!!!
8. Last but not least I did get to meet Teena! I had DD7 in tote and had to get ready for an ADR. Thanks Teena for the nice chat all of the staff at the BC were very nice! I don't think we ran into one cranky CM ( except Marketplace staff behind the good counter could use a little TLC they are a little uncoordinated and so slow).

Will we ever go back - definite yes. We finally went on a DVC tour and will be talking to the bank this week about financing (the 9% good credit rate Disney wants is absorb!). Looking forward to biting the bullet after all of these trips!

After all of the craziness I will post pictures!
