We're big time cruisers so feel free to hit me with any questions you might have.

Thank you, Teena. I can't think of one question right now though. LOL, I'm sure I will as we get ready to go though. Hoping to see you at the meet on the 7th. We're staying at POR then and we have reservations for Ohana around the same time so we're not sure. I'll definitely say hello when you're in the lobby when we get to the Beach Club.

I agree. Body Glide is a must have. We use it on our feet in between our toes actually so we don't get blisters or irritations from the flip flops:thumbsup2

Yes!! I shared this with my DH who rolls his eyes whenever I share what I learn and this time he was impressed with the advice!! He said he just may give it a try since he hates to wear flip flops because of the irritation between his toes.

It's a higher than 50-50 at club level. I think it is closer to 75% full balconies from what I have been able to determine.

I think it is a bit more than that. I was looking around at that when we were there and a big majority of the 5th floor had dormer balconies-full sized. We had a balcony that was in a peak on the 5th floor and it was a little longer than the one we had that was a dormer. Still had 2 chairs and small table. To me, odds are much better on CL for sure. Another reason to stay CL!!!

Our last few days got busy so I did not get around to posting more updates.
Tried to post today during the first leg of our drive home but somehow I lost the long post and was so mad I did not start over. We are overnighting in Charlotte and will finish the drive tomorrow. I will have time on my hands and will finish our trip updates because I know when we get home life will spin out of control and I won't be able to do it.

During our eight day stay, my DD 14 kept a running log on meltdowns that she witnessed. She logged them on her phone. Her final count was 121 separate incidents. She found this hilarious. LOL. When she has kids of her own, she probably won't find it as funny!

awesome!:rotfl:

(I have a 13yo...'nuff said :rolleyes1)

I was thinking the same thing. :thumbsup2 The balconies of most rooms tend to be the same according to what floor they are on. The exceptions would be corner rooms and other odd rooms, for the most part. Since most club level rooms are on the fifth floor, then most of them should have full balconies. :goodvibes

May I ask for some BCV advice?

We're staying at the BCV this July. I just did online check in and it asked if we wanted a full balcony. What kind of balcony do you get if you don't ask for a full balcony? We had requested the top floor when we made the reservation by phone initially. If we ask for a full balcony using online check in, does that take precedence over the other request?

Thanks!

That's great news!

Are you staying in a 1 BR villa, a 2 BR villa or a studio?

Here is a view of the villas that overlook the villas quiet pool. As you can see from the picture, the top floor has dormer balconies. The rooms that only have a window, not a balcony, are the master bedrooms in a villa. All the living rooms and all the studios have a balcony, although there may be some corner or other odd rooms that are different. Some of the 2BR villas have three balconies, one for each room. It is really nice when the master has a balcony, too, and it looks like most of them do. It looks like the villas on the second floor have the largest balcony. There might be some odd corner rooms or other rooms that have different balcony set ups.

Hey all,
This is such a great thread, and I've learned tons about the Yacht and Beach Clubs. We are hoping to stay at the Yacht Club next May after our 3 night Magic Cruise, and I was wondering what do we need to request with a water view room? We'd love to see the lake or fireworks. Thanks for your help!! :thumbsup2

:welcome:

I'll pencil you in on the Be Our Guest list for May.

:cool1:

I think you should add "Lake View, please" as your request.

There are a few YC rooms that will have a view of fireworks, but I don't believe there are many. What should the request for this be, folks? "Facing EPCOT, please"?

We have a one bedroom villa.
Oh my goodness! That photo looks so inviting. I'll be there in a little over a month. It's our first time staying at an Epcot resort and we are really looking forward to it.

:welcome: toodycat!

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list for July.

:yay:

I don't know much about the villas, so I will leave others to answer your questions.
