Well, finally got up the nerve to mention the BC trip to DH and he said it sounded like fun!! So, not to jinx myself, but put us down for a tentative stay August 17 to 24. I'm going to start looking at rooms and possible ADRs tomorrow!

I really hate to bring up this subject, but has anyone heard about bed bugs at BC?

Co-worker said a friend of theirs had bed bugs at All Star last week.

I haven't heard much about bed bugs in general since the New York situation a year or two ago, but now it is on my mind with only three days until our trip.

True, and that is not even my deepest, darkest secret!

The rest of my family really doesn't care if they see fireworks or not. Add in the crowd factor- which really scares my husband, and the fact that we are very early risers...

I have never seen Wishes. Saw some of the fireworks over the bus stop in MK and some from the bus stop at the Contemporary.

I did watch Nightastic from the Poly beach (solo) in 2010.

And now the big reveal:

I have never had an ice cream or burger at Beaches & Cream *ducks while a whole can of whipped cream is thrown at my head*

The only time I have been in B&C is when they were doing the trial breakfast in July 2009.

LOL. We only saw Wishes for the first time in December 2011 because we are early risers too, and in December they have 8 p.m. fireworks. We have also stayed at BCV 4 times and never done Beaches & Cream either.

I can't seem to find on Disney site or all ears what time lunch starts for QS for BOG @MK, anyone know? Does a long line start pretty early to get in? I'm so excited to try it out!

I booked a room at the Hard Rock Hotel once and did not get in the room until 7:30 due to cleaning. Granted that was unusual but it does happen.

I can "beat" that-we had a room at one of the other universal hotels and arrived at 5pm after a 9hr flight (which had been preceded by a 1hr flight and overnight stop in airport hotel-so had been travelling for 36hours) to be met by a man screaming in the lobby about not getting his room and then we were shipped off to the Peabody for a night because they had over-booked!! l was sooooooo tired I wanted to cry but sure we survived!! Never ever going back there to stay though

Hello, we are heading to BCV on Sunday for a week, couldn't resist a last minute trip with the 30% discount. How is the new Hurricane Hanna's? Any feedback on food? We are planning on 2-3 resort days, is there a new bar menu and counter service menu? Or just a new bar menu?

Has the bar generally been crowded all the time, or are there seats to be found on an average weekday?

Any feedback would be great.

Well, bedbugs can be found anywhere, but bedbugregistry.com has zero reports of bedbugs at either BC or YC. Just do some checking under the mattress and box spring, plus between wall and the headboard (use a flashlight/penlight, light will make them scatter) before bringing your luggage all the way into the room. The good thing is that Disney is VERY proactive and efficient on this issue. As survivors of a bedbug infestation from another hotel chain, I can say many hotels do not handle it as well as Disney does. I wouldn't worry about it.

Does Tinkerbell fly over when holiday wishes is showing? I too have been multiple trips and have never seen Wishes. We will be there for MVMCP this trip but will stay a different night to see regular Wishes if its worth it to see both. Anyone have any suggestions?

It opens at 10:30. I have read people start lining up at 9:30-9:45 which seems like a terrible waste of prime touring time when, even noonish, it looks like a 30 minute wait is typical.

Robyn- we are going to try to get reservations for the Dessert Party for July too. We haven't done it before (or even seen Wishes ), so I mentioned it to Mark and he is interested. It would be a surprise for the boys on our last night of the trip.
