No true reason to post anything except to say, I'm so happy that they came out with a 30% discount (saved us an extra $600) :thumbsup2
Also, I just like seeing the ticker every once in a while.

And now back to your regular scheduled program...:happytv:

When checking in at the Beach Club, do you have to use a bellman to unload your car and take your luggage to the room or can you just get a luggage cart and do it yourself? How far is the parking area in case we don't unload everything all at once and need to go back to the car?

Hello all!

Man we are getting close to our big trip! We are doing 7 nights CL at BC and my MIL has decided to join us for 2 of those nights. Of course we already have 6 people in our room so she can't stay with us. At the moment she is booked at a value resort, but we are hoping to be able to pay for a room closer to us using our AP discount.

Right now the only standard room options (which is already more than we can afford to add to our budget) are at YC and then there is a similarly priced room at BC Villas.

My question is as we are staying CL at BC which room choice would be the most convenient to get to us? YC or BCV? I think YC is a tad cheaper, but I'm concerned it will be far. Obviously either way we'll try and put in a request that she be put closer to where we are.

TIA!

Probably depends on where your actual room is. But, we had friends who stayed CL on our last trip and we stayed BCV, and it was very convenient. We would pass their room on the way to Epcot, so we would meet there. When we went to any other park, we wold meet at the Marketplace as it was in between our two locations.

Just a thought..... if you have not actually ordered direct from Disney, or can cancel the order, you might want to check out Undercover Tourist. We have not used them but I have read only positive reviews. Their prices are a little cheaper than Disney.

thanks :) i usually use mapleleaf but I had a disney gift card so I ordered from them.

The Bellman have the carts, so you have to use them. Your best bet would be to drop one person at the entrance to do check-in, see if you have a room yet (rarely is that the case in the mornings, not sure what time you plan to arrive). Then you can pretty easily walk from the parking lot with your stuff later. Depending on how much stuff you have. Honestly, if you have a bunch of luggage it's worth coughing up the bucks for a bellman. Plus they can store your stuff if your rooms not ready. :) Remember, its DISNEY, you'll be broke by the end of the trip anyway. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Thanks for quick follow up Hunclemarco! :)

Thanks JulieT3! :cool1:I'm super excited about this trip! I think the bounce back will be a great savings & Im really considering the AP! Do you have AP? Does TIW last from yer when you bought it? As this trip we having dining plus plan, so wouldn't need TIW until the fall trip. Where do you buy TIW? When will you be there in oct?

We just let our APs expire, and I don't know if we will get new ones, but we will definitely miss the TIW card! As of right now, we'll be there the last week in October, but if they come out with a fall discount for the prior week, we will change our reservation. Unfortunately, the bounce back didn't cover that week.

So very excited!!!

natebenma, could you please add us to your BOG list? We have finally finished changing our vacation plans for the umphteen time and as of a few minutes ago, we finished booking everything and we have come up with this, our final version...:scratchin

We will be at the BC October 23rd - 26th and then we will be heading off to the Dream for our first cruise ever!!!

October can't come soon enough!!!!!!!
Thanks for adding us.

Luggage carts are only allowed to be used by valet and bellmen.

Just starting looking on website at ticket options. We always do PH option. If prices are going up soon we will definitely make a purchase to help ease the ouch factor.

I used undercover tourist a few times... most recently a friend ordered her park hopper pass through them and just received it in the mail, took about 2 weeks for her to get it. Also if you subscribe to mousesavers.com theres a code in there for undercover tourist tickets discount, and they ship for free!!

Sorry if this is off topic but has anyone eaten at Todd English Bluezoo? It's looks really nice but I don't know how the food is.

Well I made a late Ohana reservation for Friday night at 9:30 PM thinking we could sleep in the afternoon, have a late dinner, then hit the park after eating. Now we'll eat and then go to bed? not a good idea after Ohana! :rotfl2:

Hi Erika!

I'm jealous that you just booked Ohana ;), I've been looking since I booked my trip with my aunt & haven't found one yet! I'm going to keep checking of course, I know it's hard to get into. Did you get in on 1st try? Right now I have Wispering Canyon for my MK dinner.

Hi everyone! I am a longtime lurker of the Dis and have been reading through this thread because we booked a last minute (for me-I usually spend months planning!)trip to the Beach Club!:cool1: This trip is a surprise for the kids and a much needed family getaway after having gone through a terrible past few months in which we lost my mother-in-law to cancer just seven weeks after we found out she had it. She was a huge Beauty and the Beast fan and had wanted to go with us to Disney, but I know she will be there in spirit:love:

We are so excited to be staying at our first deluxe and first time club level stay and are looking forward to lounging by the pool and being able to walk to Epcot:goodvibes. We will also be celebrating my DS turning 12 on our trip! I have already gotten so much information from everyone's posts and can't wait to be there! Our dates are 7/8-7/14, we would love to be added to the BOG list. Just wanted to say hi and share my excitement!

So sorry for you loss Bama Belle, my thought are with you! I lost my dad last year in a car accident, and understand good family time truly helps the healing process & Disney is great family time!

What about having MIL stay at Swan/Dolphin which would be cheaper, but still in EPCOT area right next door, you can ride boat together, etc?

Bummer no bounce back! I thought the last week of oct was covered in the bounce back? :confused3

This is what I have on Page 1 (Other Useful Info section)

What is a Bounce Back Offer?

Bounce Back is a promotion offered at selected times throughout the year offering a discount on a future trip if you book WHILE YOU ARE STILL AT THE RESORT. It used to be left on a card in your room, but now is part of the Be Our Guest guide that you should receive at checkin. You can also dial #8844 from any resort phone to see if a bounceback promotion is being offered and what the eligibility requirements are.

You MUST book it before you check-out. Once you get home, you can change the dates or cancel it. However, once you check-out, even if you give them your reservation number and say you were just there, they won't allow you to book it.
