I think I have the Be Our Guest list up-to-date. Please take a moment to look it over and check to see if your info is listed correctly.

If you have only posted the month of your trip and not the dates, your names will appear at the top of that month.

Feel free to post any changes or corrections for me to make

Hi everyone! I'm staying at the BC next week for the third time (can't wait to be back!) and will be using the International Gateway for the first time. I was planning to do evening Epcot EMH and wanted to make sure that we can exit through the Gateway as well even though WS is closed? Thanks!

Yes you can. Ahhhh....one of the many things I love about staying at the Y&B...the quick walk back from International Gateway! I just returned from my vacation on the 16th. Have a great time!!

We're here!!!! :) It's been a very long day, but very good. Started out with a 3:15am wake-up (for our 6am) flight, but the trip was very smooth, no issues, arriving 20 minutes ahead of schedule at 9:20am. Budget, however, was awful. It took us 50 minutes to get our car - not sure exactly what the problem was, but the agents definitely could have used a little Disney magic, that's for sure. Rude, slow and hard-sell on the nickel and dime add-ons - by the time I left the rental counter, my usually deep patience had worn very thin. But then we were off to Disney!! :) After we pulled up, we were escorted up to the 5th floor where Sean took excellent care of us. He even pulled my daughter behind his desk and put her to work, completing our check-in process - she loved it. :) Our room wasn't ready yet, so we decided to have a quick snack in the lounge (those chips with the garlic-peppercorn dip - awesome!), then were going to leave for MK. One order of business though - I pulled Sean aside and explained that I'd packed birthday surprises for each, and asked if he could help me stage the surprise. He happily agreed, so I left the bags with him while DH was downstairs with the kids searching for hidden Mickeys, and then we were off. MK was challenging at times, for a few reasons. 1. I wanted to upgrade to AP and buy a TIW card. Somehow, the printer freaked out right as my TIW card was supposed to be done, and they couldn't figure out if my order had actually been processed. The admittedly new CM wasn't sure how to handle it and pulled in two different managers to help. Thirty minutes and one complimentary FP later, I was off to get our Photopass Plus and meet up with the fam. 2. Sean had never checked our MagicBands to confirm they worked (which presented a problem back at BC when I couldn't use my MB to get to the 5th floor). But he also never got us to pick a PIN, which meant we couldn't use our MBs for purchase. No biggie - it was quickly resolved when we got back. And when we got back, we got our room, exactly as requested!! We're in 5667 - lagoon view with a full balcony. :) Can't see the fireworks, but it's ok - we're very happy. And the BEST part - Sean totally came through for the kiddos. We opened the door to find the bags laid out on each bed, each attached to four balloons. :) DS9 and DD7 were over the moon. So, I have to say that I'm LOVING the BC!!!!!!! :)

Thanks for the info. Im very interested in the upgrade and TIW purchase since i am considering the same. Were your original tickets in a package? We have room plus tickets through AAA staying with my brother and niece and i just want to upgrade my DD and I tickets to AP then purchase TIW. So you were able to successfully do this with the magic band and right at guest relations for both?

Thanks!

Hi everyone,

Just checking in again. What a great couple of days. I have to say these park hoppers are the way to go! The past 2 days we have hit all 4 parks. My kids love being so close to Epcot and HS. Tues we spent the morning at AK and loved it! The lion king show was incredible. That night we were at Epcot and had a fabulous dinner at La Hacienda! It was so good. Then we bribed the kids with ice cream so they would sit through Boys to Men. Lol. The concert was awesome! That was "the end of our road" for that night though. Lol. Yesterday we had FP+ at MK in the afternoon but we decided to hit HS first thing and see what we could accomplish. Worked out great as we were able to ride TSM with only a 10 min wait and then Aerosmith 4 times. Fun! We had the best lunch ever at Beaches and Cream with of course yummy milkshakes. Headed off to MK for the afternoon and then an early dinner at 1900 Park Fair where Anastasia tried to marry my 11 year old. Lol. They were hilarious.
We were beat last night so we hung out swimming and then DD and I watched the movie in the beach.
Again, this has been the best vacation I could have ever imagined. I can't imagine staying anywhere else for our family.
Thanks for letting me share! Laura, I will be looking for you today!!! If I miss you have a great time!!!

That's for the update. Your trip sounds like it is going very well. :goodvibes We always get park hoppers. They are almost mandatory when staying at the BC. We almost always are able to get two or three parks a day in, especially since my favorite thing is to walk into Epcot to see Illuminations at night. :)

Posting Live (dead tired though!!) from Pop Century, 80's building.
It's really late so forgive my usual lack of clarity....

Now for The weather: HOT and HUMID! Not face of the sun hot like in high summer but still really toasty and oppressive. I'd give this weather front two showers a day with a change of clothes accompanying that shower. We are talking sticky city so pack accordingly.

The weather forecast calls for rain and it did spit on us tonight at MNSSHP. Don't freak out about the rain because what they say is coming doesn't and then you get a little rain surprise somewhere else. Just go with the flow and not worry about any forecasts. It's not like you can do anything about it in the first place. It never does what it says

Hi ninja mom, I'm glad to hear that you're having a great trip! I have a quick weather question for you. DH & I arrive sun night in Fl & check into BC monday am & I'm trying to pack. When I look at the the Weatherchannel.com for Lake Buena Vista its reporting the high up to 85, but lows daily in the 50s. Are the lows mainly in the wee hours of the night/early am or is it cooler in evenings too? Like you want a long sleeve shirt/sweatshirt for evening parks? I'm packing a bit of everything of course & I know FL weathers unpredictable, I'm just wondering what way to lean more towards packing? The reports of the crazy humidity has me bummed, my May trip was a 2shower/day trip & I was hoping this one wouldn't be. Oh well, I'll be in Disney, right? Thanks for any insight you may have!

Less than 48 hours until we check into the Yacht Club. I can not wait to use my Magic Bands!!!!

Yep! It was a little convoluted due to some technical issues, but it shouldn't be a problem. Our tickets were part of a package, and there was no issue upgrading. (We just upgraded mine since, at this point, I'm the only one returning for the Princes Half in February.)

Laura,
Glad to hear you arrive safe & sound, I know you were worried about the possible snow! Bummer about the magic band issues but I glad it was straightened out quickly for you. I had tons of problems in may upgrading reg ticket to AP & that was without a magic band, so I can only imagine the difficulty! I can't wait to ear more on your trip!

HGB,
You sound like you're in heaven right now, that's so awesome! I love Hearing your live updates, keep them coming!!

Laura &HGB- what do you guys think of the weather since your there too?

I have 4 more days until BC & I'm just so excited & a wk from today will be my 1st MNSSHP! My new dilemma, which is a good one is that we were not able to originally leave until Sunday night after I got off of work, so we wouldn't of arrived until late Monday driving from OH. But my wonderful coworker at the hospital offered to work for me Sunday, so we can leave Saturday as soon as I get off of work! Which means we drive Saturday until we're tired, stop at hotel whenever, & then get up Sunday early & finish. So we will arrive a day early, so I'm considering either All Star Movies or Music because with my AP it's $88/night, which I'm sure is going to be the comparable price for any other non Disney hotel. Any thoughts on either of those? I ruled out Sports because CS is closed, we did Pop for arrival night last yr & had aunt trip there in May, & LM @AOA has no availability. I want to just try another new disney hotel. I imagine we won't arrive until late evening, so no parks or DTD, may just a swim & eating at CS. Thoughts?

The weather is actually a bit cooler than we expected. We were planning on swimming this afternoon, but opted for more Epcot time this morning instead. Hoping for warmer bathing suit weather in a few days. :)

Apologies. I know this is not strictly Beach Club, but I am staying there in April and you are all so lovely that I thought you may help with a quandary. On a certain day in April I had planned a Animal Kingdom day, sleep/swim in the afternoon back at BC followed by dinner at Akershus. However when I phoned to get a preferred wishes they could only get us in on my Ak day. Therefore I'm thinking we should go to AK in the morning ( it's a EMH), have lunch there (as our main meal), chill/sleep at BC and then go to MK when'd we are ready. So my question is if you were on the standard dining plan where would you go for lunch at AK? We are a family of 5 (me, DH, DD9, DS7 and DS4). Thank you and I'm sorry if I shouldn't have posted this here x

Sweet and you were given your TIW card right then and there?

Yak and Yeti. There are plenty of other buffets.

Out of the All Stars resorts I would choose Music. It is less busy than Movies and Sports. I also thought it was well laid out and has nice landscaping.

I probably go with movies if you can get the AP rate there. With the food court closed at Sports all the guests staying there are being sent to music's food court. But then again, you are only there for a night. I have stayed at all all star resorts. Sports is my fav. Followed by movies then music. Enjoy your trip!!!

Hi everyone,
I have not had a chance to catch up with the thread. But did want to stop in and say hi! We had a fabulous vacation! Busy but fabulous!
Teena- thank you so much for the advice, helpful hints and just saying hi! I know you are headed to California. Enjoy your trip! It was wonderful to meet you!

Beach Club was amazing! Loved our room! Loved SAB! Had a blast at the parks. Enjoyed the restaurants. And enjoyed our family. We were fortunate enough to get a rezzi at BeOur Guest (thanks for the link) and our lunch was a lot of fun in the West Wing! Would love to be able to stay again soon.

Thanks again everyone! I plan on stopping by again when life clams down a bit and my laundry pile return to normal!
