I just received an awesome email....my magic bands have shipped

Today was anything but an ordinary day . This was the day that I was giving myself an extra trip to the world this year . Started out great flights were great on time actually early getting into Orlando . Straight to DME and away we go yea. Get to the beach club in 40 minutes . Can not wait to get to SAB . I did online check in so the CM Alexa walked me right into the desk waved to Teena and said I would be right back . Not a chance I reached for my wallet and it was gone , of course my whole life is in there and of course I panicked . We'll let me tell you all it seemed as though Disney Froze time for me and three CM immediately starting calling Mears and explaining the situation . They also assured me that all would be ok . While this is all going on another CM was able to check me in , had my magic band so I was able to by the time she was finished checking me in Alexa came back and informed me that the bus was on the way back to the Beach club still not sure if the wallet was still there I had called my son to tell him I my have to have him cancel my credit cards . Lucky for me it was on the bus and that made my day . All is well that ends well right not so fast . They gave me a room on the fourth floor with a lagoon view . While talking to Teena ,Alexa comes back to me and says Michael would you please come with me and she escorted. Me to the fifth floor I had been upgraded to concierge with a room right over SAB I could not believe it . Someone was looking over me today . Went to SAB saw Rocky and ordered a stiff drink and thanked my lucky stars .

I can officially say. IM GOING TO THE BEACH CLUB THIS MONTH

After the past two years being horrible for our family, it's a well deserved holiday. Can't wait.

That was the first thing I said to my husband this morning too. WE GO TO WDW THIS MONTH!!!!

Sounds like many of us go there to recover from a rough patch in our lives. Isn't it great that we have such a magical place to recover???

Look what I found this morning! I couldn't find it the last two trips to BC. Now Nannette and I can find one another at AKL too!

Well we are here now and this is the first time this happened and I am none too happy.

Dh was sleeping. We have the dnd sign on the door. He sleeps like a rock. I hear kids screaming down the hall, unfortunately our room is near the supply room etc. so I also hear a lot of housekeepers too.

Well I am quiet on the laptop letting dh sleep. He works his butt off etc.

The phone rings...wakes dh up. Its the housekeeper and she wants to know if she can make up the room. Um, guess she doesnt understand what do not disturb means.

Oh well dh is up now, If this happens again tomm I am going to say something downstairs for sure.

YAY!!! Our trips are this month!!! I LOVE meeting other disser's so I hope I also get to meet you Ms. Couchy!!!

Just another boring day at work!!!

Looking forward to this afternoon/evening when I will be meeting a disser for dinner!!! I should arrive at our meeting place around 3:30 ish... will text when I'm there!!! Can't wait! Then it's home to check out my yellow magic band... I see Mickey parts bling in my future!! First stop at AKL... the gift shop!

You should go down to the front desk and ask them to call the housekeeping manager for you. Then tell them the housekeeping manager what happened. Or when you are back in your room, call housekeeping on your phone and tell them you want a housekeeping manager to come to your room ... if they ask why, say you only want to speak to a manager. This is unacceptable and they need to know so it doesn't happen all the time.

It's just so exciting it's it, my DH didn't really 'get it' when I was jumping around this morning!!
We've had the hotel booked since June 2012! I knew this was where I wanted to stay so we pushed the boat out and booked ASAP so I knew I was going.
Usually stay POFQ as love the small quiet feel but with a new addition I wanted a bigger room and Epcot is my DD10's favourite park.
We added the flights in December so it's been a looooong wait!

Disney is the best cure for anything, I'm still stressing so I hope it will all go once I check in. I really want to enjoy this vacation.

I put my request in for a king bed low or ground floor for the yacht club. Do you find it is easier to get a king bed request or harder. It will not make or break my vacation if we do not have a king bed I just feel like for the 2 of us there is more space with a king bed than 2 queens esp when we do not use the other bed.

There are so many of us going at the same time. I just came back home from work and our MBs were at front door. I got orange for me and blue for DH and red for DS.

DS said that we are going to Disney this months as soon as he woke up this morning.

We've had stressful few months including death, sickness, etc with family and now that everything has settled down (hopefully), we cannot wait for our vacation. We really need one at this point.

Hi all, first time poster! Due to a contest at work, I have the pleasure of being escorted all the way from BC to WDW (airfare, hotel and some expenses paid!) on Mon Oct 14 to Fri Oct 18 and staying at the Club Level of the Yacht Club!

I'll be going with my girlfriend, and was hoping to take the opportunity propose to her while we're there (in the privacy of our room). I was wondering if it was possible to get the engagement ring shipped direct to the resort and have it held by the concierge desk until at least the Tuesday (along with some other special requests)? It'd save me a couple hundred bucks in taxes plus give me a few more days since I'm not sure if I could get the ring shipped to Canada before we leave on the 11th (staying offsite until Monday)

Should I email IPO or call the hotel? It doesn't seem like the IPO desk is directly connected to the hotel staff? Been reading occasional stories about disconnects. Would hate to 'disconnect' on an engagement ring!

Any package mailed to the Y&B Club (unless it is shipped by United States Postal Service) will go directly to the Shipping Department at the Convention Center. This is owned and operated by an outside company ...not Disney. They will deliver it to your room or you can pick it up in the convention center (a 5 minute walk from the lobby).

Oh that is frustrating!!! I would call housekeeping.
