2012 Weddings!!

Does anyone wonder if theyre marrying the right person?

I wondered once, but I know now that's it's all good. He's actually too good for me, but when I remember how badly I was treated before, I just know he's the right one! I think it's normal for people to question, it's what answer you come up with that needs to be evaluated.

So exciting! FI and I just decided on a Disney Escape Wedding! Planning for WP on December 12th! Can't wait!

Hi - can you add me? Wishes wedding - ceremony and reception at Animal Kingdom park - 10/25/2012.

Thanks!

Hi ladies! I just got back from our PS trip and it was awesome :cool1: I'm just a little scared to see our BEO now since we went crazy and added lots of stuff. Can't wait to hear about the rest of your PS trips :goodvibes

We just had ours last Tuesday- don't eat before hand!!! :)
If there is anything you asked your coordinator and were told no previously, ask again. We were told no for beach ceremony and at our PS they told us we could have it on 2 beaches- go figure! The time flies so quick if you have important things you want to know, write them down. The PS goes along very quickly and you might forget if you dont have a list! :) Have fun! :goodvibes

Great advice! Thank you so much! (I wonder why you were given two different answers). What did you do with your inspiration photos. Did you make an inspiration board? Email them? What is the order of the planning session?

No problem! I had all of my photos organized in my "file folder" haha and when it came down to it, I pulled them all out and we looked through them together. (mostly floral). It really helped to show them rather than try to describe and hope they understood me. I also highly recommend bringing fabric samples. If you can't get your hands on them, try buying ribbon in the shades you want at the fabric store then keep the fabrics you give them for yourself to use going forward. There are so many shades of colors out there!

For our PS, first we met our planner, talked about the general feel we wanted for the wedding, locations, how many people, how many kids, colors, etc (the basics to make sure we were on the same page) This was about 1pm-2pm, then we headed to the tasting (230-4pm), it took the full 90 min to taste everything. The chef makes the food right there, you eat it, then talk about what you liked and didn't like. We talked about placecards, how we liked the place settings etc. We then headed back to Franck's and from about 430-6pm, we talked with floral, started with my bouquet and girls, then bouts, then ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, linens, chairs, etc. It really does go by so fast! I would bring any and everything with you if you want to show them, it's so much easier to talk about it right there in person so they get to know your style and what you are going for. :goodvibes
You'll have to report back and let us know how it goes!!

I got back from my Planning Session trip yesterday and boy am I tired. I have to go back to work tomorrow, aww boo, I hate when I have to leave Disney and get back to reality.

You guys were right, the PS was sooo much fun but it does go by sooo quickly. I'll have to write about it in my PJ (perhaps I'll do it tomorrow after work) but I'll share a few quick pics.

(p.s. if any of you guys are looking for an officiant may I suggest Tim Herring. He is SOOOOOOO nice, friendly, and my favorite, funny! He made me feel right at ease. Which is a big thing because I'm rather shy in person).

Also, Diane Bowen is my wedding planner and she was so nice and accommodating. I can't say enough nice things about her. My sister flew down with my parents and I since Nathan couldn't come due to school and she had to bring her 10 month old and Diane was really sweet about it and brought food out to my dad for the tasting because they can't have children in their kitchens. But I'll get more into that in my PJ.

I was assigned Laura from floral and she was awesome too! The whole disney team was great!

Anyway here are some pics.

We attended MNSSHP for my first time ever and I loved it! (Could it be because my birthday is on Halloween?)

The headless horseman! (Loved him)

One of the biggest highlights of the trip; getting to meet Rapunzel and Flynn. They are my FAVORITE characters and I got shy when it was my turn to meet them but I did pluck up enough courage to ask Flynn what was in his satchel. If you get the chance to meet him, ask him this. It's wicked cool!!

Hair and makeup trial w/ Patricial Lejeune!! (I'm getting a couple more smaller flowers and ditching the big flower so It's not so lopsided and patricia is going to put in 18" hair extensions to give volume and length because I'm going for a Rapunzel inspired do).

Anyway, I'll write a more detailed report in my PJ!

only 169 days to go!!!!!!!!

mjshorses, I'm getting married on Castaway Cay the day after you! We're staying at WDW for a few days between the cruise and our honeymoon. Looks like I won't be the only one wearing the bridal ears at the park that week! :goodvibes

Michelle, I really love your hair! It's so pretty!!

Glad to hear you had fun at MNSSHP, just went last night and had a blast.

Can't believe all of us are getting closer to 2012, seems like yesterday we were excited because it was finally 2011 and now it's really close to 2012:laughing:

May 18th at SBP!!!!! Small wedding, so I don't know if we are doing a full reception or nice late lunch!

Amy :bride:

Hi everyone, i have been lurking for some time now, getting lots of ideas while I was patiently waiting for the engagement to happen. Last Saturday it finally did, and we have hit the ground running when it comes to planning. I spoke to a wedding consultant yesterday, we want an Oct. 2012 wedding so I knew I didn't have much time to waste.

As of right now we are penciled in for an Oct. 28th wedding at the Wedding Gazebo and reception at ADH. I am so excited! Now we are trying to book travel for a site visit to make sure that those venus are exactly what we want. Hopefully we can get there soon and start the paperwork so that I can officially say I am a 2012 bride :cheer2:!!!

Megan
