2012 Veteran's Day Weekend

We are planning on being in Disneyland (staying at the DLH - Yah!!) from November 11 to 19. I realize that the 11th is Veteran's day and the parks will likely be crowded but that is our travel/arrival day and I am not too worried as we can spend time in DTD and at the hotel.

Trip advisor is showing the anticipated crowd level for the 12th (The Monday) at only a 2 out of 10. Can that possibly be correct? Don't a lot of people have the Monday as a holiday? I sent an email to the contact for toruing plans but didn't get a response.

It has been a couple of years; but we hit up DL for 3 days prior to a cruise the week of Veterans a few years back. The park was empty the entire time we were there. Walk on most rides, 5 minutes for Indy. Was great!!!

We were there that time in 2010. Veteran's Day was a Thursday and crowded. The next day was Christmas grand opening and crowded. So that may be a factor this year. The days before Veteran's Day were absolutely amazing. Walk on to Pirates. Really empty and wonderful. But changed completely with the holiday and Christmas opening.

I don't trust TPs crowd predictions. That Monday will likely be not only a holiday, but the beginning of the holiday season. Now TP can't predict that this far out, just the holiday factor alone makes me believe that mi day will be higher than a 2.
