Hiya Guys

Just subscribed to touringplans.com, and have noticed that the last full day of my holiday is the first day of Mickeys-not-so-scary-halloween- party...

I have always been upset about not seeing this.. As i love halloween and their decorations are fab.

Can someone please give me information about it. e.g tickets, planning etc.. We already have 7 day passes. do you need to book extra tickets..? :confused3

Love mnsshp and didnt do it last year, we arrive on the last day of it but think we will be too tired to do it again

Love the parade

Its an extra ticket and one of the only times you can go in fancy dress, its very good

I've always wondered whether to do this. Decided not to last time. Not sure this year.

Are the crowds generally a lot lower than normal? All rides still open? What generally happens, you go round and the characters give you sweets? lol

we went to our first one on 27th Oct last year and loved it! Most of the rides were pretty much walk ons (major bonus for us), the parades and fireworks were amazing :goodvibes It was fun dressing up and looking at other people costumes, and the photo opportunities are great (plus lots of trick or treat!) I'd recommend it :thumbsup2

Crowds depend on which night you go, we heard Sundays (our original plan) were busy so went for Tuesday(IIRC) Try find out from previous years which are quieter or buy just before you go as we did, we listened to reports on here when was quiter, nearer you get to the 31st the busier it gets.
Most things are open, 2 closures that spring to mind are Jungle cruise & Harbor House.
Characters don't give you candy, there are candy stations you goto around the park, some have a line but they move very fast, others no line.

Only long ride line we had all evening was Space mountain, left it while last, 11:45pm and I think many had same idea, 30 min line, longest line all evening was 10 mins.

Also remember that for this event in 2012 some (or most?) of the new fantasy land will probably be open, and this will likely be incorpoarated into the party with new trick or treat stations, etc

We loved it when we went in September. In fact we are going to book again for this year.

As said previously it is great to dress up in the park. The fireworks are different and the parade is good and the sweets "............. We still have loads:rotfl2:

When can you find out the dates for these parties? This is something we would also love to do.

Dates normally come out around april time i think but they start around first week of sept and last party last eyar was 1st nov! So you have plenty of dates normally on about three times a week

You buy the tickets online with disney - some dates are slightly cheaper.

We've done it twice. We did it last night of our trip 2011 and it made a great end to the holiday.

since the dates for 2012 have not yet been released, please don't count on your travel dates matching up with the MNSSHP dates. I would hate for you to get excited about going and then have it not work out.

I am hoping to hit both MNSSHP and MVMCP this year. Did MNSSHP in 2007, 2009 & 2011 and MVMCP in 2010.

Both are really good. Last year we were at a sold out MNSSHP and that wasn't as much fun but still got lots of candy and enjoyed the fireworks. Loved the parade and had a great time chatting to some CMs who were there while we waited.

We don't go to the parties to do rides - we go for the party stuff - so parades, fireworks and dance parties (DD loves them!!)

Does this mean that the park is closed earlier for regular visitors without the Halloween party tickets ? Thanks !

Yes, they kick you out if you don't have the additional ticket.

Yes, 7pm on party nights.
Halloween tickets allow entry from 4pm until midnight with the event officially starting at 7pm.
