2012 Epcot Food and Wine Festival *HAS ENDED*

I feel like as long as we have elderly parents who tend to become ill unexpectedly, we can't risk booking any pricey non-refundable events. We've had to cancel our trips several times, and are very thankful for SW air and DVC !

This is one of the reasons I do buy trip insurance for some trips.

For me one PFTS is not a "deal breaker" and my airfare for this trip was $158 round trip. If something happens it's not a deal breaker.

But I am going to Punta Cana this winter. $2500, not really refundable. That trip is insured.

I guess there's no way to view my f&w event reservations online?

Go to the Disney website. Log in ( or create an account if you don't have one ). You should be able to pull up your reservations under dining or special events depending on what you booked.

Not all F&W bookings are showing for everyone. I and several others have not seen anything to confirm online. I called and confirmed them, have my confirmation #'s and my credit card is reflecting everything I booked so we're good to go!

I have an account, and all my other dining reservations show up. However, I can't retrieve my wine seminar or tequila lunch reservations using my confirmation numbers- the page says that the reservation was successfully retrieved, but it doesn't then show in the listings.

Mine weren't showing up either, so I called to confirm and they told me I didn't have a phone number or an email address attached to the reservations. I gave them the info and now all my ressies are available to view:thumbsup2

I usually do everything through my DVC account. When we became members, we were told they were more reliable using a DVC name than an email address. :confused3 Everything's showing up on my account, except for specific seating, which you go by the times, since special seating is 15 minutes earlier than non-reserved seating.

All seven of mine are showing. Had to go in one by one and retrieve them using my confirmation number but once they showed up, they've returned every time I've logged in.

Oct 20 PFTS - only general admission available at the moment. The other options all went on Aug 14 (that was fast!)

Can't wait for the W&D. Also running the 1/2 marthon and doing the after party.

Fun! We're doing ToT 10 Miler to kick off the festival, but did the W&D half last year and it was just soooooo much fun...the most fun I've had at a half yet. Planned on doing it this year too until they changed the dates to accomodate the ToT race...it just didn't work for us this year. I love that they have races with the festival...it helps me "justify" the gorge-fest that is F&W! :rotfl2:

The only "bad" part about the races with the festival this year is that W&D in on my birthday. We had planned to do the Party for the Senses that night to celebrate, but due to the race, there's no party that night. We're doing Victoria and Albert's instead!

We are totally "raceless" though. We are going for a short trip in September for ToT. Can't wait as it's my favorite attraction in all of WDW!

Can someone tell me what sort of payment is accepted for purchase of a Food & Wine Festival Gift Card. While I know the payment methods that can be used at each booth, I'd like to find out what sort of payment methods are accepted when purchasing the F&W Gift Card.

:thanks: in advance!!

You can load a gift card with cash, a credit card or a debit card, or a Visa/Mastercharge, etc., gift card.

Last year it was pretty unanimously stated that you cannot load a Disney gift card with another Disney gift card. Here and there I have seen some posts from some who said they were allowed to do it. It was suggested to try at Guest Services. I am also not sure about using a KTTW card with charging privileges. I know I saw at least one post that said a KTTW card could not be used to load a gift card. But then it's Disney, and different people are likely being told different things by different Disney CMs.

Can the gift cards be reloaded at the booths?

Although the gift cards can be reloaded at the booths, we have met with some resistance depending on the CM and depending on how busy they are when you attempt the transaction. We have been told in the past by CMs at the booths that a) they didn't have the right kind of cash register/equipment to complete the reloading and/or b) they simply did not know how to reload the cards.

Given that it can be a bit hit or miss at the booths (especially when there is also a language barrier), we have found that the most helpful CMs, who are more than happy to reload your gift card, are in the Festival Welcome Center (former WoL pavilion). We have never had a problem there or, for that matter, at Guest Services or any one of the festival merchandise stores.

I have tried it at a booth only once and they weren't busy, and it was done. But I do hear that sometimes the CMs at the booths will refuse.

Keep in mind most of these kiosks seem to be staffed by temp cast members who seem to receive MINIMAL training. Asking them to do something like this is probably going to drive you, them and everyone behind you crazy LOL! But if you enjoy standing in the heat dealing with "Let's try this" while folks behind you mutter go for it :)
