2012 Epcot Food and Wine Festival *HAS ENDED*

Has anyone who booked 3D or PFTS online been able to upgrade to sweet/reserved seats once you got through by phone?

Yes, I got PFTS reserved seats for 10/6 and dessert discovery sweet seats 10/5. I was on hold for 28 minutes when I started dialing at 3:59am (6:59am EST)

After constant calling starting at 6:59 AM, was placed in cue at 7:10 AM. After a 58 minute hold, my call was answered. Got a ressie for Sweet Sundays on 09-30-12 with Jacques Torres. Rep could not find the event at first and said nothing was coming up. I helped her out and she found it. She did not go through any of the spiel, surprising.

This is a short trip and the only time I'm available this fall for Food & Wine. I booked a couple of deminars last Friday. There isn't a lot available on the schedule when I am there unfortunately. Thought about booking the signature dinner at Brown Derby on Oct 1, but probably won't.

Good luck everyone! Last year, I got in right away, but the system wasn't as quick for me this year.

If you need to reserve multiple events on-line, you need to re-enter your credit card info, address, and phone # each and every time. Disney's website is so aggravating!

After an hour and 3 minutes on the phone I finally managed to book:
10/6 PFTS reserved seating
10/3 Italian Regional Lunch :cool1:

I was very fortunate and was speaking with someone at 7:01am. Unfortunately, Robert Irvine was sold out already. She was as shocked as I was. I guess Annual Passholders, DVC members, etc. Oh well. We will still have a really good time. Got some other reservations that I wanted. Good luck everyone.

Try again. He was not sold out that quick if you were going for kitchen memories. If you were trying for just the cheap demonstration, that one was filled days ago.

ugh on phone woman cannot find italian regional lunch on 10 24 how is this possible?!?!

Finally! I was told 15 min wait. After almost one hour a CM answered. I booked the Italian Food and Wine Pairing for Nov 8. It took her almost five minutes to find this event in her system, though. I was getting nervous.

So Italian F&W on Thurs.
One culinary demo and one mixology seminar on Fri.
Then we are running a 5K race at Animal Kingdom on Sat!

Now they just need to release some AP discounts for the resorts so we will have a place to stay.

Maybe that part about sharing was in the policies that the CM didn't read to me. I wasn't told anything about sharing. There are just two of us though so I'm okay with that if we do share. I wonder if they allow you to ask who to share with?

I wouldn't book the wine view for the extra money. I never really used the goodies we got from being in the fancy seats. All I really wanted was the chair!

My guess is that we'll be seated at one of the large round tables and they will just put names on placards in front of seats.

We enjoyed the WVL the two times we did it in year one but just felt completely overloaded and probably missed many of the wines out on the floor.

Yes. Both lines go to the same queue.

I am approaching an hour on hold.

Uh Oh. You got the black pit of the Disney phone system.

I have had this happen and...if you have another line try it. It appears that some calla get "shunted" and don't queue properly.

After an hour on hold once, I dialed in on a work phone. Got through to a CM on the work line and was still on hold on the other line. I complained and sent an email complaint, but....I doubt they really think this happens

oh and she cant find tequila lunch either! figures she has no idea what she is doing?! lucky me!!

Called at 7:00. I'm not sure how long my wait was because it went spanish right after "your estimated wait time is...." LOL. Maybe 5 or 6 minutes later, got a live voice.

The only thing I missed out on was Robert Irvine. Hoped for it, but didn't expect it.

I did get:

Sunday 10/21 Tequila Lunch
Monday 10/22 Culinary Demo-Oscar Prieto
Tuesday 10/23Culinary Demo-Bill Clark, Grand Floridian
Wednesday 10/24 Italian Regional Lunch 12:00
Culinary Demo-Tony Charbonnet 5:00
Mixology 6:00

I'm happy! Off the phone at 7:26am
Try again for Irvine if it was the Kitchen Memories on 10/26 you were trying to book. The CM I had couldn't see his name, I had to KNOW that the Kitchen Memories on the 26 at that time was Robert Irvine.

Hi, Seems like a few of us are doing the 3D Dessert on Oct.26th. Will there be anywhere to post that we can "meet" online if we will be at the same event?? This is the first time I am doing an event at The Food and Wine. It is my DH and I with regular seats at the 3- D Dessert. We also signed up last week to do the La Crema wine ,4pm on the 24th. .:goodvibes Joan

AARRRGGGHH!!! Rackinfrackin &*#$@(!!! After 55 mins on hold (of my 194th call, no joke, with the 30 min wait msg) The system asked me if I wanted to do the survey, and then hung up on me!!!!:furious:

Called back, and it now says 30 mins again. AAAAAAAAAAAAA

The same thing happened to me! I was sooo mad! Just got into work and am going to try calling again in a little bit, as the wait was 60 mins when I called a few minutes ago.

I'm now on 43 minutes of that *second* 30 minute wait time.

Just called in with my sons's phone as well and now I have Main Street USA in stereo :lmao:

Most frustrating experience ever, but I finally got to book the one event I wanted.

We got the "no circuits" for 40 minutes, then my husband finally got through. He was on hold for almost an hour. By the time he got through the reserved seating for the 10/27/12 PFTS was gone. There was wine view and general. He, of course enjoying spending money, went for the wine view.

At this point I am just happy to have gotten it! But be cautioned, reserved seating for this event is sold out.

Honestly, I am happy he went for the wine view, I would have gone for general because of the costs....but I really do want to have a reserved seat.
