2012 Epcot Food and Wine Festival *HAS ENDED*

Well after an 1.5 total and talking to a cast member who had no idea what she was doing

I was only able to book the tequila lunch on friday 10/26

she could not "find" the regional lunch in italy!

back on the phone I go..maybe I will get a better cast member next time

Finally! After an hour on hold, I got to book the Italian Regional lunch for Nov 7! I booked Warren Brown culinary demo on Nov 10 online but Buddy Valastro culinary demo for Nov 6 are all gone though. Either way, I'm happy! :rotfl: I just hope that the reservation number I heard is correct, line was soft... :listen:

I was on hold for an hour too, I was just trying with a different phone when someone finally picked up. Hope everyone got what they wanted!

Ugh! What a frustrating morning. Called right at 6am (central time) got right through but put on hold with an estimated 30 minute wait time. 10 minutes into the wait, the call was dropped. Arrghhh! Started calling back immediately and it took 20 minutes before I got in, this time with a 45 minute wait time. After 60 minutes I finally got through and spoke with a very nice cm, but was only able to get 1 of the events I wanted.

The Brown Derby Signaure Dining Oct. 1 was sold out.
The Italian Regional Lunch Oct. 3 was sold out.

I did get the Via Napoli Food and Wine for Oct. 4.

Pretty darn disappointed, but will still have a great time.

Finally got through, after about 1.5 hours wait.

had to switch weekends (from Oct 5-7 to Nov 2-4) but got both 3D Sweet Seats and PFTS reserved seating.

The trick now is going to be getting DH to pay for his half since I had to put it all on my card! :rotfl:

55 Minutes on Hold. Got a nice CM. Booked our one event: Nov. 2 Kitchen Memories.

Thanks for ALL the help and information that this Board provides. Tremendous help navigating this complicated process.

I was trying for the cheap seats, lol. We leave early on the 26th so the Kitchen Memories wasn't even on the list. Oh, well. No real biggie!

On hold for about 80 minuets. Was calling from Central Zone. For 10/26 I was only able to book 3D Dessert basic entry as all the Sweet Seats were gone :(. The CM did a good job though and checked multiple ways. Has anyone done just the basic entry and is it ok? Am I missing anything by not getting the Sweet Seats?

On a better note, I booked the PFTS with the Wine View lounge for 10/27. It's Robert Irvine weekend and I know he'll have a booth there. This will at least let me in early to get to his station before the lines.

We had already scheduled a Wine Event Dinner at the FF for Thurs 10/25 and a couple of seminars for Sunday 10/28 so I think we're ok with the special events.

Hi, Seems like a few of us are doing the 3D Dessert on Oct.26th. Will there be anywhere to post that we can "meet" online if we will be at the same event?? This is the first time I am doing an event at The Food and Wine. It is my DH and I with regular seats at the 3- D Dessert. We also signed up last week to do the La Crema wine ,4pm on the 24th. .:goodvibes Joan

Hi Joan - same boat here. Going the 24th with regular seats. First time at event.

Just because I was bored and don't want to work.

This is what I compilied as "sold out"

Party For the Senses
Reserved Seating sold out of 10/6, 10/20 and 10/27

Brown Derby Signature Dinner 10/1

Italian Regional Lunch 10/3

3D Desert Party Sweet Seats 10/26

FYI -

For those DVC members, Just called MS and got through at 9:am (while still on hold on the regular phone line for over 50 min.) and booked the Zimmern/Voltagio Healthy Dinner on Oct 19th @ 6:30pm with no problem within minutes of the DVC line opening! Also while waiting made reservations online for Senses Party for Oct 20th 7:30pm.

Hope this helps someone!

man, all of these horror stories; i would be so mad! i hope everyone eventually gets the events they want!!! :hippie:

i called right at 7 and was automatically on hold for 30 minutes. so i hurried and booted up my computer and rushed to the website to try to book 3d desserts that way. i had to come to the forum and find out where to book it since it was a little hidden. i still managed to catch my bus to work too! i wanted sweet seats, but DH vetoed me on it. hoping we can still have a good time with basic admission (would love to be able to sit and eat though and not stand for 90 minutes and try to juggle food and drink).

looks like fri oct. 26 is popular for 3d desserts; see all of you there!! :cool1:

Ok, for anyone who is wondering, you cannot call to upgrade to seated PFTS if you bought it online.

I just got through...
I was hoping for reserved seating for PFTS on 10/20. Only thing available was general admission, no reserved seating no wine view (which I would have done for the seat.
I took the general admission but am now going to worry that my group of 5 will have a hard time keeping together without a table to come back to...

Aww bummer, Sharon. Glad you got something.
