2012 Cruise Dates

We have just decided to take our 1st cruise in 2012 to celebrate our 15th anniversary....I am going crazy not knowing when I can start planning it! Planning is half the fun for me!:goodvibes

I know it is usually at the end of Sept. or in Oct. Anyone heard any whispering when they might be released?

Can this thread be moved to one of the other 20 already out there of the same topic?:sad2:

We have our dummy date for 2011 waiting patiently for the 2012 cruises too. I'm hoping for a 7-night on one of the new ships.

Usually TA's get some heads up when the itineraries are going to be released. Any TA's out there heard any call to gather or grumblings???

I'm just hoping it's before we sail in 5 weeks, so we can get more info/and or book while onboard.

If DCL cruises to Hawaii, you won't be able to get off and stay at the DVC resort. There are very few if any one-way cruises between the US mainland and Hawaii, because the closest "distant foreign port" is quite far.

I think some cruise lines stop in Mexico at Ensenada before heading across the Pacific from CA in order to have a "foreign port." One way cruises out of their new Long Beach terminal to/from Hawaii with land packages at the new DVC resort and/or Disneyland would actually seem like a very logical vacation package.

Those are roundtrip cruises that leave from CA and stop in Ensenada. Try to find a one-way cruise to Hawaii, unless it is a repositioning cruise between LA and Vancouver with stops in Hawaii - which is what DCL will probably do. Ensenada is also not a distant foreign port.

*Carnival has a one-way cruise to Hawaii, but it departs from Ensenada. This what a search on Expedia for Hawaii cruises turned up: http://cruise.expedia.com/Search.aspx?ds=Hawaii&tpid=1&eapid=0. Sorry I keep editing! Celebrity has a couple of one-ways from Ensenada to Hawaii, too. Most others are roundtrip with a stop in Mexico, or repositioning cruises.

I'm hoping for a cruise to Hawaii in 2012 for our Honeymoon, as we are already planning to stay at the Aluani resort for June 2012!! Hopefully the cruise dates open soon!!:cool1:

I'm not sure if this has been posted (I didn't read EVERY page in this thread) but I did notice that DCL chnaged their website with the travel pul down menu now first and also added what currency you want the prices listed in. Perhaps they are gearing up for release of the 2012 dates and a minor menu refurb was part of it? :confused3

DCL have most certainly changed their website now you can choose to pay in US dollars or UK pounds. So glad that I booked our trip last year and only had to option to pay in dollars. Got a much better deal with the exchange rate. Definatly do not like the idea of booking in the future and paying pounds. :(

Hopefully when it comes to pay in full day I'll be able to pay $$. fingers crossed.

I'm hoping for a 14 or 15 night RT from LA that stops at each of the islands. Carnival and Princess currently have at least 1 sailing with this itinerary, I'm hoping Disney will too.

Time will tell if they'll do some roundtrip cruises or just reposition to and from Vancouver via Hawaii. What they almost definitely won't do are one-way cruises between Ensenada and Hawaii.

With the berths they've requested it seems certain to be repos, doesn't it?

I was not impressed a 14 day cruise and only spends barely four days in the islands. Thats why we booked the RCCL Rhapsody of the Seas out of Vancouver, because the cruise ends in Honolulu so we get to spend seven days in the islands. We leave Friday morning from Philadelphia

To each is own, I guess. We try to avoid flying whenever possible, so getting stranded some where because the cruise is only one way doesn't sound appealing to us.

We've been to Hawaii several times so I just like the longer cruise.

I hope you'll have a great cruise!

I am not interested in a DCL LA to Vancouver via Hawaii repo cruise for the same reasons: too many sea days and too little time in Hawaii. I am interested in Radiance's April 2012 Honolulu to Vancouver cruise, and it departs on my birthday. :teeth:
