I came across the new law that started in January for Booster seats in CA that says a child must be in 1 until age 8 or 4'9. I will have an almost 7 year old when we go in April.

I booked a shuttle service so I will need to bring one, does anyone know if the bottom of the booster seat is acceptable?

Does Disneyland express shuttle also require one?

Thanks in advance!

Yes they can just use the bottom booster. :goodvibes

I am not sure what the disneyland shuttle uses, but if it is a charter bus you will not need one.

Hope that helps.

Thank you! I saw a picture online and it was the the full booster with the back part attached but really didn't want to pack that part if it wasn't required.

The bottom part is fine. And you wouldn't need it on DL Express because it's a bus with not seatbelts.

Thanks! Good thing I had read the traveling with children section for the shuttle service or I would have never known!

Disneyland Express uses shuttles, and will need the child seats.

Disneyland RESORT Express uses buses and does not require child seats.

So does that mean we need a booster seat for a taxi?

I am not renting a car for our trip. We were planning on taking a taxi to the mall. It will be a pain if I have to carry a booster seat around.

It does mean you need a childseat on a taxi.

What mall are you planning to visit? You can take ART to the Block at Orange. Probably the OCTA buses to another location.

I had to look up what "Disneyland Express" was; from mousesavers:

There is a small company calling itself Disneyland Express that operates vans - watch out, it's not the same company.

I wouldn't book them, they sound sneaky. :)

Disneyland Resort Express is run by Grayline, is a coach bus, does not have seatbelts, therefore, no carseats or boosters are allowed.

inluv....

One of the reasons we avoid cabs is because we would need to bring carseat/booster with us and deal with it. We did that once in Vancouver, when DS was itty, and although the cab driver was lovely (are there any surly cab drivers in BC?) it was a pain for me, so we've just avoided the situation.

So, I'd bring a booster or see if there is a public transportation option to get over to wherever you're going.

We are planning to visit the Block at Orange. I just thought taxi would be easier. I am a little leary of taking the bus. Just wondering if the ART is easy to take to the Block?
