I think Tinkerbelle may have a new sister. Lily is just so adorable and a perfect fairy. Hope Teena is having a blast. Sorry we're going to miss her. When we were at Flying Fish last night I told my husband that Teena "who works at the Beach Club" was saying how delicious the risotto was and he perked up about her working at the Beach Club...then I had to tell him that she's on vacation visiting her granddaughter, so we won't get to meet her. But he definitely agrees with Teena's assessment on the risotto. He loved it.

We are here!! Hubby is napping until I wake him to go to our Flying Fish ressie. Our garden view isn't the best but we scored a king size bed so we'll take it.

Lunch at Captain's Grille today. Very good. I had lump crab cake app, lobster sliders w/orzo salad and angel food cake dessert. All excellent. Hubby had the clam chowder for his app, lobster sliders w/fries and bananas foster cheesecake. He loved everything too. A definite thumbs up but we thought service was a little slow.

We had hoped to go to Typhoon Lagoon since it closes tomorrow for refurb, but it was cool and overcast so we decided to pass and instead walked over to Epcot just to wander. Very busy at Epcot but we knew it would be since its Saturday during. F&W. I took lots of pics but cant upload thrum my Kindle so you'll have to wait for those.

What else?? Oh yes...to all of you in Sandy's path, both direct and in the "cone"....be safe!!! We'll be thinking of you. My parents are in MA and in-laws are on the Jersey Shore so we are concerned and hoping for the best!!!!
Yeah you are finally there! Lunch sounds delicious!
We were there for the Flower & Garden Show in 2011. It was gorgeous, both the show and the weather. We had mostly only traveled in January and February when it was often too cold for swimming. April is a good time to go and we got a discount then, too. :)

Flower and garden fest is so beautiful

The first installment of Teena, Jeanne and Lily's trip to Disneyland, CA is up.

And here are a couple of bonus shots. I haven't posted the Disneyland pictures yet, but there is a new pixie in town!

Speaking of Trip Reports... Have you been over to check out what Flat Ben has been up to lately???

NO??? Well just click on the link in my signature to see how Flat Ben likes The Dark Side! I don't have the Wizarding World photos posted yet, but I will do that later this week.

Flat Ben's trip with AnjieNet starts on Page 10 (there are links in Post 2 of his other adventures so far)

So cute!

Just wanted to pop in to say stay safe all my fellow East Coast Dissers.

We are battening down the hatches and doing all we can to prepare. Just heard on the weather channel that NJ is "ground zero" for Sandy. Last year the earthquake and Irene this year Sandy - who knew the mid atlantic states would be preparing for hurricanes and earthquakes!

Dee - hope you and your whole area stays safe and weathers out the storm!

Thanks DisneyMomx7, we are all secured here. Hope you and your family are safe too along with any other DIS'ers.

I don't want to be the bullseye for any storm.

We're almost finished. Grocery shopping done - water and logs for the fireplace done- pool and lawn furniture put away. All that's left is DH setting up the pump to pump water off the pool cover and I'm running all the appliances - washer/dryer, dishwasher, vaccuum etc. in case the power does go out. I've frozen so many containers of water I hardly have room for the food!

Good luck to all!

Just received my welcome e-mail from the IPO staff. It feels real now:cool1::cool1: We are so excited! Now we just have to wait forever for September to get here.

Hubby is napping after wandering around Epcot all day. I'm watching football. Tonight's dinner is Cape May and then we might head to DHS since they have EMH tonight.

Got back to the room and found a towel bunny.

Had lunch at Teppan Edo. Enjoyed that. Then we did pick -a -pearl. My is 7.5mm and white. No setting yet. Need to decide what I want.

Are you watching our Pats?

I love Teppan Edo. Only wish they took TiW.
Nice pearl!

Enjoy Cape May! One of our favorites.

I just checked the Southwest website, it looks like they have canceled all flights for Monday and Tuesday out of Providence. We're supposed to fly out on Weds. Keeping my fingers crossed that we can leave!!!!!!!

Two quick questions...

1. I have booked a garden view at the Beach Club for our trip next year, could anyone give me an idea of what our view might be and if I should put in any particular requests regarding the view?

2. Do they have rollaway beds at the Beach Club? If we don't get a day bed I was wondering if they had rollaway beds that we could rent, as my son doesn't want to share.

Also, I just wanted to say to anyone affected by Hurricane Sandy, stay safe.

Hoping to leave out of Providence on Weds (Halloween), that is unless Sandy has a few "tricks" for us!!!! (from coastal Connecticut- Mystic, Stonington area)

We are about 1/2 hour north of you. My husband and I just celebrated his birthday with a few nights at the Stonington Inn a few months ago. The Stonington / Mystic area is lovely.

Hope you are able to make your flight on Wednesday and you are safe there on the coast.

I think we are ready to weather the storm: gutters cleared, tons of ice in the fridge, last load of laundry in the dryer, lots of snacks and non-perishables at the ready!

Stay safe to everyone in Sandy's path!

They do have rollaways. my boys hate to share a bed!! I don't think I payed anything. We were in CL at the time not sure if that makes a difference.
We will stay safe thanks!! No school tomorrow and I think we really only have to worry about losing power.

If you do not get a room with a daybed, then you can request a rollaway cot and it will be provided free of charge.

I would add a room request for a daybed and full balcony, if a balcony is important to you ( it is to me)
We had a GV room facing the garden area with the volleyball net. We faced toward the Boardwalk if we looked to the right on our Balcony. Looking straight ahead we just saw the other side of the BC that also faced the garden courtyard.

We could also see the higher Illuminations! Found this out our last night  because we were in our room packing!

Thank you. I hope that you manage to keep your power.

Thanks, that's great to know.

Full balcony will be our top request. I will request a daybed as well, but it's good to know that the rollaway bed is an option. Your view sounds great, hopefully we'll get something similar.

I've not posted here in quite some time, but I know many of us are in the path of Sandy and I wanted wish you all well!! I pray you (we) are all safe and are spared the worst of her wrath!! Our biggest concern is loss of power, which is just inconvenient. Good luck to all in her path!!!!

Oh, and on a lighter note, I'll be at the Beach Club in 25 short days:)

Gosh, I can't believe that I'm having to post a "Stay Safe" note for a Hurricane that's NOT coming to Louisiana??

Fingers crossed that all of you make it through with no damage.....and that the few of you needing to fly out this week can do it timely!!!
