We are having a lazy morning waiting for the rain to slow down a bit before heading to Epcot. We are loving BC and we have an incredible view of the lake and the boardwalk. here is a brief summary of our stay so far:

* only saw one bee on one day at SAB. The bee liked our mugs of sods so i just placed them under thr loungrr. Problem solved! My boys LOVE the pool and cannot wait to go back.

* the soda machines at thr marketplace has problems. Ice machine constantly not working or it is out of soda. The cm's are excellent and have bottled soda and manually pour ice. We are just surprised that they dont have better machines considering the amount of use they get.

* the location of BC cant be beat! Also bc is closer than yc to the epcot international gateway so this migt help those who cannot decide which resort to book.

* totally agree with others about the DTD bus situation. Once on the bu the other night it was an hour getting to bc due to so many other stops. We had adr for fultons tomorrow and just cancelled to avoid going back to dtd. But this meansanother night at cape may cafe so i am very happy!

* as a west coast girl the humidity had been difficult and next time we wont book an august trip. We are thinking christmas 2013 instead. The humidity gets easier later in the day so we have adjusted what we do in the mornings.

We are having a wonderful time and we are happy we chose beach club! The cm's have been so helpful, and we have had amagical disney experience. Still three more days to go!

Just contacted the YC CL IPO. They rock! They will have our MNNSHP tickets waiting for us when we check-in so we don't have to fight the Will Call crowd to get them.

43 days till we get there! :cool1: 41 days till we tell the kids! :woohoo:

Testing the photobucket app- thanks havoc!

Great view-- thanks for sharing! Do you mind my asking if that is a GV or WV room?

Enjoy the rest of your trip! :goodvibes

Please remember the comments you see on the boards about things looking tired and rundown.....

You've got to quit talking about me,,,,,

Sometimes I wonder about the palatial estates some of the complainers live in and how many house maids and ground persnnel they have to keep their estates in tip-top shape all the time.

To those battling the weather, if they start building an ark in the lake I would worry, otherwise, put the ponchos on and have a great time because the parks should be just about empty.

I'm chiming in too to say that I am loving all the live reports. Down to 98 days until our first stay at the BC! I'm glad to know they are sprucing the place up for me. :rotfl2:

That's how I look at it, too. ;) Even if it isn't quite done when I get there. :)

And of course, nothing beats the International Gateway to Epcot!
Here is a photo (not a very good one, sorry) of the IG at sunrise one morning while I was out for my walk:

I think that's a great picture!

One more try :)
We are only 23 days away !!!!

Love this!!

if you get a Juliet balcony ( Heaven forbid), take the opportunity to brush up your Shakespeare.

Ha. That made me laugh out loud! ;)

So I have to come and share my GREAT news! Many of you might remember that we had booked our YC trip in March and then in June we found out my husband (a paramedic and public servant) was getting a 10% paycut. :( We determined that we were still going to take this trip, and we would just REALLY tighten up on our budget to make it work. I got PIN codes via email, but they always excluded our dates. :( (We are staying during Pop Warner.)

Well, this morning, my travel agent (who also happens to be my sister-in-law), sent me an email saying that new discounts had been released today and she had just gotten us a 30% discount on our room rate for our stay. She just saved us over $1,000!!! :cool1:

I was so happy I wanted to cry. True Pixie dust when I least expected it, thanks to both Disney and an AWESOME travel agent. Even if she wasn't my SIL, I would say that! :cool1:

Thank you all for sharing in my joy. I am just THAT much more excited about our trip now. :goodvibes

We checked into CL at the BC last week. The person who greeted me at the front entrance and directed my husband to park the car in the self-parking lot, directed me to the regular check-in line. I mentioned that I was staying club level and he brought me up to the 5th floor (and that made it harder for my husband when he came back in!!)

My advice would be, if the people at the BC or YC direct you to the regular check-in line direct you to the main desk, just mention that you are staying club level and you will be brought right up to the CL check-in.

Someone should greet you by name as you arrive at the BC (or YC). In most cases they know you are staying CL and will escort you there to check-in but if not, as barbliny suggests, just mention it to someone when you arrive.

You make a good point- I don't think I have this info in the CL section on page 1, so I will add it. Thanks!

And yes, if you are staying Club Level, you should check in on the fifth floor. If you don't see anyone, ask Teena, or another greeter to direct you to the front desk so someone can take you up there! It's so nice to sit and relax while checking in!

Thank you everyone for the quick replies, that's why I love this thread and the people who post here. Only 92 more days to check in :dance3:

Glad to hear it worked for you Steph!! That is fantastic! I had my TA check this morning for me but I had a feeling the PIN I'd gotten back in Feb. was a better deal...and it was. She said this new discount was still about $100 more than what we're already paying. So great to hear it worked out so well for someone who really needed it!!

I miss SAB!! My own pool is disappointing me the last couple of days since I got back - have to push myself around :joker::sad1:

Rainy morning here. We got to HS at rope drop which isn't really our style. Got TS fast pass then got in stand by line. The whole line was outside and we were about 20th. The ride was shut down and we could not wait inside. Waited an hour in the pouring rain but we were already wet so we didn't care. By the time they opened we were second in line. Rode then went again with our fast pass. Love that ride!

On boat now to our lunch at le cellier

Rain has stopped and sun trying to come out!

Strange...
We must have really good bus karma....:thumbsup2... Never had a bad bus experience in all of my 13 trips (even going to or coming back from DTD) :)

I know Hurricane Hannah will be closed until December, but what about the rest of the consruction. I'm mostly concerned about the gym and the BC lounge.Where is the solarium anyway?

With the closing of Hurricane Hanna's, what is the best option for getting a poolside cocktail as I watch my kids swim?

Although I have always wanted to stay at BC (which I will be doing in two weeks) due to proximity to EPCOT, I thought the on-site eating options were a bit lacking as compared to the other deluxe resorts, and even the food court at POR (which the wife loves). Just bums me a bit that it will be closed, but don't consider it a major issue.

Otherwise looking forward to the visit. Haven't had a real vacation since April of last year. My girls still think we're staying at POR. We're going to give them a mini-surprise by staying at BC.

Any other DISers going to be there Sep 8-14? I'll be the frazzled guy with the three hyper daughters zooming around the pool. Care to join me in a drink?

This is gret news :cool1:

Thank you so much for posting this! I hadn't been obsessively checking as usual, so I missed the new discount! Now we will be able to save on my October birthday trip for F&W!
Thank you again!

I just want to make a point, and I know that all of you understand this, that two people who are vacationing in the exact same place and time in WDW can have VERY different experiences. Nothing is "always" good or "always" bad. I did not encounter bad housekeeping, rude CM's, bees at SAB, horrible bus service, or a screwed up reservation. I know very well that these things happen, and I'm not saying my vacation was "perfect". It wasn't (but close;)). I just want people to know, especially those that are traveling there soon, or who are new to this thread, that things can be truly magical, too!!

Thank you very much beacause I begin to be afraid when i read some TR.
WDW is so far and so expensive for me. I hope have a magical trip like you !

Happy to hear your vacation is going great! Funny thing....I'm an east coast girl and recently returned (aug 17) from our first DLR stay. It was SO hot that on some days it was as bad (or almost) as Orlando in August (our last three trips to WDW have been in August). I understand that doesn't happen often and/or when it does, it doesn't last a long time. Those outside lines on may attractions in DL/DCA really were unbearable at times. We had a fantastic time. Cars land was great and I just loved DL!

Ooooh, so we've got some interesting stuff going on at BC. :thumbsup2

Does anyone know where -- in relation to the ol' being-renovated lounge -- the Presidential Suite is? Will be interesting to check out. popcorn:: (Just curious as we requested "as far away from the lounge as possible" on our ressie.) We get to eat some nibbles in the fancy-pants room. :woohoo:

From Page 1 Post #5-Three pictures there.

Solarium
Just around the corner from the Marketplace is a great place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning, to sip a refreshing beverage after a busy day at a theme park or to visit with friends, old or new. The Solarium has hosted a lively World Cup soccer viewing as well as the first annual Yacht & Beach Club DIS meet.

The Solarium is just off the lobby of the Beach Club. Hope that helps.

I made my reservations! I will be back at the Beach Club 10/13 - 10/21 and am suprising DH and DD with club level!! :cool1:
