Teena, I hope you are feeling better. Enjoy your cruise!

Thanks so much. The doctor today gave me the all clear to go (not that I needed it ... I was going no matter what) and I'm loaded down with meds in case I start passing a stone while on board.

Teena, Hope you continue to feel better. Have a wonderful time on your cruise!

Feel better Teena. My kidney stones are acting up again. I very much understand.

Teena: have a WONDERFUL time on your cruise!!

If the meds don't work......................there's always the bar :rotfl2:

I have a standard club room booked but after reading this I'm changing to agarden view or may even do water view. Is water view cl a view of stormalong bay and is it worth it? Also, we will be checking out of dolphin to check in. If our room isn't ready, can we still use club for breakfast. Thanks.:)

I have had water view at BC CL twice. It is so beautiful at night! But we never sit out on the balcony, and never really look out the window after the first day or so. So this time we just booked standard view and requested something close to the lounge. I'd rather sit at the pool or walk along the water then watch out the window anyway.

You can use the lounge as soon as you check in even if your room isn't ready. Have a great trip!

I went and bought a camera adapter for my iPad so I should be able to upload pics while there.

Curious to know what kind of camera you have? I have a Canon 60D and I am pretty addicted to taking photos in RAW format, but I was thinking about getting one of these to use for my iPad. I'm assuming I'll have to do both RAW and JPG or just JPG alone for it to work with the iPad. I'd love to hear how it all works for you. I really don't want to take the laptop with me on our Disney trip!

The CL garden views are pretty nice at the YC ... there are only five of them so you're lucky to get one. They sell out fast!

I didn't realize there were only five! Now I feel doubly blessed to have gotten one for December. :) I'll let you all know if we get one with a daybed, but I didn't request it, since DS10 and DS6 will be fine sleeping together. (I hope, lol!)

You poor thing! I know so many people who have had those, and I hear they are awful. {{hugs}} and hopes for a calm, enjoyable trip!

Now that's MY kind of meds. :rotfl:

I logged into Disneyworld.com today and it told me I had 74 days to go. We booked this trip in March, so it's exciting to see the numbers get so close. Kind of scary, actually. I haven't done NEARLY enough planning! :rotfl2:

Happy day, all!

Can I just say that this is the nicest most helpful and informative board I've been on. You guys rock.!:thumbsup2

Just finished packing up; moving to old key west tomorrow. :(

We've had a very nice stay, but we just didn't take advantage of all the amenities we could have. Wish we would have gotten more time here at yacht club. Also definitely wish we'd have been at beach club instead!! But the hotel has been wonderful, it's beautiful and everyone is so friendly.

Here are some pictures:

I'll end up posting more pictures at a later date, but probably more on my trip report, once I start filling it in! All in all it's been a really great trip, with great weather, people, cast members, and rides. Everything looks shiny and new, obviously a lot of work has gone into the entire resort since I was last here in January.

Hi all,
I haven't posted very often but I have received some wonderful advice and information from all the Beach Club experts on this great thread. :)

We finally checked in this morning for a short stay as part of our longer 30th wedding anniversary trip and we were absolutely thrilled to learn that we had been upgraded to a beautiful CL lagoon view room ( I had booked a standard GV ! ) we have been spoiled by the wonderful CMs here from the moment we walked through the door!!

We have just returned from a great MNSSHP and were looking forward to trying out the breakfast in the lounge tomorrow morning. The weather hasn't been great today, haven't had the chance to swim yet but were hoping to catch up on that tomorrow.

I'll post a loner review of our Beach Club experiences after our stay is ove

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list on Page 1.

If you don't have any special requests, then I don't think it matters if you do the online or regular check in. I'm guessing it won't be all that busy at 6 PM, but what do I know?

Have a fantastic trip!

If you do have special requests, should you not do on line check in?

Tomorrow is the day!! We are BC bound for 10 nights!! We have never had a trip like this!! Any tips or anything I need to add to the do not forget list?

Picked up our documents yesterday:cool1:I booked during Disney month with AAA, so we got a 75.00 Disney gc:thumbsup2 ....more $$ to use at the F&W Festival booths:)

Hey Steph....Fellow 60D/Ipad owner here. I bought an iPad Digital Camera Connection Kit from Best Buy that allows you to plug your card straight into iPad and download direct. It's @ $30. But I shoot in JPEG and never tried it in RAW. May have storage issues depending on storage capacity.

Good luck and let us see your pic's!

I have a Nixon L110. I bought just what MikeyT purchased. I used it once with the SD card adapter, but not the USB one. I uploaded the pictures to the iPad then used the photobucket app to put them on Facebook. It worked great, nice and easy for this tech challenged girl :thumbsup2. Hopefully I will have time to post some pics while we are there.

Hi everyone,

I don't post often on this thread but I really enjoy reading it. Something absolutely amazing happened yesterday that I just have to share and I knew you guys would understand. :) Mickey Mouse came to our county high school to announce that the band has been invited to march in the Very Merry Christmas Parade!!! :yay::yay::yay: I am so excited and I don't even have a student at the school. :lmao: I know I'm nuts!!

At the YC, there are five garden view CL rooms, two of which have daybeds. They are not far from the lounge. You cannot guarantee you will get a daybed no matter what you book (garden or standard or water) but you can always request a rollaway if you don't get a daybed. Even with a standard view room, if you want a daybed, make sure you have that request on your reservation unless there are five in your party. If you have five in your party, that is self explanatory and you don't need to request a daybed. However, if you have four in your party and want a daybed, you need to have that request on your reservation. And like I said before, no requests are guaranteed.

Dee is correct as far as the BC, there is only one garden view CL room there with a daybed.

Thanks so much for your recommendation Teena! I called this morning and upgraded from a YC SV CL room to a YC GV CL room with a request for a daybed since DS 5 suffers night terrors and often sleeps restlessly so for he and DD11 to share a bed for 7 nights might be difficult. I contemplated the water view but have so much booked at night for celebrations that I don't think it's worth the extra $. Surprising DH with an illuminations cruise for his birthday - giving the Pirates Wishes Cruise to DS as a Christmas gift, one evening DH is scuba diving the Epcot Nemo tank and DD is snorkeling the Tank...so lots of fun things going on that I don't think well be in the room that much.
I just keep wondering if we should have gone BC over YC - more posters seem to be heading to BC....hmm, well... Ill keep reading along... :cool1::banana::yay:

Hi All,

My wife and I will be staying at the Beach Club for 4 nights, Nov.6-10.
We have a club level lagoon view room. ( first time for that view...)
Do all the club level rooms on 5th floor have full balconies?
Should I request a room close to lounge?
We hope to catch the end of the Food and Wine festival. Love walking to Epcot and DS!
The only downside is that Typhoon lagoon will be closed....We love the wave pool.

Read this entire great thread! Thanks all for all the inside info...nothing compares to it!

I just counted the oct. be our guest listings 17 @ yc, 18 @ bc, 16 @ bcv. The bcv people can't choose the yc really so it seems a fairly even split. I'm @ the yc in a couple of months and personally prefer it to the hustle and bustle of the bc's lobby but to each his own. Maybe the bc types are more like the resort - more gregarious than us yc types.;)And of course all of us yacht clubbies get full balconies - no Juliet's for us.
