If the tickets are partially used (I think that's what they meant) and first used more than 14 days ago, they can't add any days. I assume they are non-expiring tickets.

(If the tickets were never used, then Teena's idea is the right one.)

There really are not any discounts for 1 day tickets. Often the resellers even charge a slight premium because Disney doesn't discount them to the resellers.

I would price out the tickets you actually need (sounds like a 4 day) and consider buying those and saving those partially used ones for a future trip that is only going to be 3 days long.

Thanks for the advice, unfortunatly so close to the trip, we don't have money for a 4 day out right. Having a hard time coming up with the money for the 1 extra day ticket!

I will just miss that and seeing you again Tina:sad1: Have fun on your trip and congratulations on the arrival of Princess Lily:lovestruc This is our DGS 2 first trip.

Well, that just means Y&B ... other places/parks will have decorations. They start going up on 11/1 so you'll be able to see some I'm sure.

Enjoy DGS's first trip!!!! I can't wait for Princess Lily's ... probably summer.

I've finished my pictures from my Balloon trip last weekend.

I'm going to post a link, and just so it's Disney related I will remind you that buses do in fact run from the Beach Club, Yacht Club and Beach Club Villas (there, did I get everything?) to Downtown Disney where they have a tethered balloon ride for your enjoyment.

You see, Marlton Mom can get around anything (even her stubborn husband! ;))

So here is the link. Feel free to post comments or questions if you would like and I'll be happy to answer them.

MM your photos are amazing. It looks like you had an incredible day. So beautiful! :thumbsup2

Oh... Before I forget... Thank you so much for the information about how to get to Dowtown Disney from the YC/BC. Very important information for those who read this thread about the YC/BC. Always good to have an expert like yourself contributing valuable content to this thread. You rock.

Thank you for shareing! Unbeliveable colors! It was so beautiful!

AMAZING photos MM!!!

The colors are spectacular! Love the one with the balloon shadow. So interesting to see the trees with no leaves. What a wonderful photographic outing.

Thanks for sharing the pictures with us.

Well, sorry (a little ) to say, we will need to be taken off the list for Dec. Our DS just called and said as an intern he got a great, new rate, and that the Poly was on the list. So, we are bailing from the YC to the Poly. We were looking forward to staying at the YC, but the Poly has been our favorite since we first stayed there. We just love the theming at the Poly, have ever since our honeymoon to Hawaii a long time ago. Have a great day !!

We will miss you!!! Have a fantastic trip at the Poly and hopefully a stay at the YC or BC will be in your future.

Dee, I posted these after our August stay, but they may have been lost in the shuffle:

Thanks for reposting these!

I have been in catchup mode since the beginning of the school year, with flag football, theatre rehearsals and the addition of our new kitties. I haven't had a chance to upload new pictures to the front page (or apparently to remember which ones I have on file)!

Last flag football games are on Saturday. Hopefully not in the snow (Seriously?). Both boys' teams are 0-7. :sad1:

Marlton Mom, your pictures are BEAUTIFUL!!!! thanks for sharing them:thumbsup2

We've decided to rent a car this year but were originally going to take the Magical Express. Do we need to notify anyone (if so who) that we will not be using this service? Also, when we arrive at the Beach Club should DH just drop me off, park and meet up with me after I check in? Sorry if these questions are silly! We've never had a car while staying on property.
Thanks,
Laurie:goodvibes

Just call the toll free number in your magical express booklet and let them know, we did the same thing in October.

we stayed at the Dolphin briefly in May. It was a non-parks stay on our way to the airport from my parents' condo in SW Florida (although I guess it really doesn't take multiple nights and two full days to get the airport, right?) In any event, I think it's a good option for Epcot area resort fans looking for a lower-cost alternative. You get an amazing location at a lower cost and you can still take advantage of everything at BC except SAB. When we stayed there, we were over at BC and BWI quite a bit. We even chose to eat breakfast at BC Marketplace over all the other Epcot resort breakfast options (and loved it!)

Thanks for this info! We have the Dolphin on our short list for June if there isn't a room only BB next week (of which I am not optimistic) or in the event of a really bad AP rate at YC/BC. I can't believe how high summer rates are without a discount!

Quick question. We really want to try to get another day ticket to go to Epcot on Dec. 13th. Because we bought the DVC this year instead of the package we cut back and only have 3 tickets from a pervious trip. I have gone online and for just the three of us 1 day base ticket is 272.00. Anyone know a reliable cheaper place I can get a day ticket?
:confused3

I don't think so for 1 day tickets. Even UT only sells 3 days and higher. Can you skip a different park and go to EPCOT instead? For example, don't go to MK with one of your 3 day tickets. Buy MVMCP tickets and get in at 4pm with them. That should be cheaper than a 1 day ticket.

And to stay YC/BC relevant- 4 more days till we arrive at BC!!! :dance3:

Check out mousesavers.com and their ticket info. There is a part in there about a fundraiser for Florida Children's Hospitals that mentions as of March 2011, you could purchase a one-day ticket at the hospitals' gift shop for $74, and that the closest hospitals to WDW are in Celebration and Kissimmee. Since you're going to have a car, it would be worth calling to see if that promotion is still in effect. If it is, then that would be $224 before any tax. Also, check with any of your friends that work for local hospitals in your area, sometimes hospital employees can get discounted tickets. We do for our local amusement parks (Kennywood and Idlewild), but not for WDW---but I think I could get them when I worked at hospitals in NC and SC.

OK WDW drivers, I need some help!

We just decided to rent a car for the week instead of just 1 day to go to Tampa. We have NEVER had a rental car at WDW before. (But the Costco offer was too good to pass up!)

Is parking free at the BC if we self park?
What about at the theme parks? (although I think we would probably only drive to AK)
We are going through Alamo, so I assume we just go to the rental counter at MCO to get started?

Thanks for the help!!

No charges for parking for onsite guest at resort or any of the theme parks. It is great to have the flexability.

Here's a copy and paste from AE's.

If you are staying at a Disney resort, at check-in, you'll be given a parking pass to put on your dashboard. This pass identifies you as a Disney resort guest, and helps you gain easier access to other Disney resorts as well as granting you free parking at the four major theme parks. Though not Disney-owned, guests of the Swan and Dolphin hotels also park without charge at the theme parks. Swan and Dolphin guests will not receive a parking pass. Instead, showing a room key to the Cast Member at the parking tollbooths will allow free parking.

Well I am doing the  now as its one month from today we will be at the BC. Can't wait!

And did anyone see my thread about the Disney mistake??

I just got off the phone with disney and they dont know why I got that e mail either. They are sending me another e mail to confirm they have our bounceback deposit from May etc. Havent gotten that yet

And while I was on the phone I asked if they could add full balcony to our request. The only other thing we had originally asked for was to be closer to an elevator because sometimes I get cancer cranky as I call it and dont feel like walking down long halls to the room etc.

So does a room like this exist? Water View (only thing that was available when we booked),close to elevator and full balcony)?

Thanks Mickey T!

Anyone have any tips for me at the airport? I did the "Save Time" part on Alamo's website, so that means I go straight to the kiosk (by the counter) instead of talking to someone, right? We want to get to BC and SAB as fast as we can! :beach:

I've been comparing Touring, wdweasy crowd calendars and disney's May 2012 park hours (thank you Mickey T for this one!!!) and now I'm totally confused. So I'm asking all you disney wise ones for help. Do you or don't you do early and/or late magic hours? I read and was planning on avoiding the parks with early morning extra hours, but was planning on doing MK and Epcot extra night hours. Now according to Touring it doesn't make a difference, example MK night hours are a 4.9 crowd level for that day and recommended as a good park, where as wdweasy it is a park to avoid. Now I'm not a nite owl, but since the parks close around 9, I thought it would be fun to "stay out late" a couple of nights and enjoy MK and Epcot late nights.

Any help from you guys is greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!!

Generally speaking I find that doing extra hours in the Morning pays off because most people can't get their act together enough to be at Rope Drop on an extra magic hour (EMH) morning.

You must absolutely be there at park opening and then hit the rides that will have the biggest lines later on in the day at the park that you are doing EMH at.

What happens is that people arrive later and later in the day thinking that EMH means something more than just early park entrance and consequently that park gets crowded. What we do is hit EMH -MORNING parks until about noon and then scoot on over to the least crowded park after that.

This is the strategy that generally pays off, with you doing the longest wait attractions in the morning when there is very little wait due to the fact that the bulk of the thundering herds haven't arrived yet.

As for Evening EMH I try to avoid it but not really because my ADR's can get in the way. So I don't sweat it and if I have to go to an EMH Evening park in the PM. I go with the flow.

I hope that answers your questions. Keep posting if you need more help.

~ Marlton Mom, who has been putting ketchup on my Collie's kibble.... is that wrong?

My family are totally Early Magic Hour Rope-Droppers. The amount of things you can get accomplished in the first two hours at the parks, before the masses start to arrive, is amazing!

Under the current system, we collect Fast Passes all morning and then use them in the afternoon as the lines start to get long.

We have never tried the late night EMHs- we are morning people and are usually exhausted at the end of the day.
