Hi everybody! First I will announce my big news on Friday if everything goes right!

Second, my DH and I are thinking of doing a tone down version of drinking around the world. Here is the plan. Split one drink per country (except France) to try what the country is famous for. Please help me fill in the blanks and I am guessing 10.00 per drink on high end. Any recomendations, ideas, and/ or pictures are welcomed!

Mexico: Margarita (recomendations, we have no dinning plans)
Norway:
China:
Germany: German beer
Italy:
America: Samual adams beer I guess
Japan: Saki
Marracco:
France: Champane, and a slush (recomendations)
UK: Gunneiss
Canada: (lunch at LeCellier)

Also planning on a cocktails at Ohana's. I usually get the lupa, lupa but I saw a picture of a cocktail in a coconut. Do they serve that there also or just at the lua? Also eating at California Grill any drink recomendations (under 20 dollars)

OMG!! poor Joeseph is going to have to confiscate your scooter licenses!

Here is an excellent site, "Party through the parks" that describes each drink available by location at each park, including Universal and Sea World.
http://partythroughtheparks.squarespace.com/

This site has great info on the margarita's at Epcot's Mexico and tells you which margaritas to avoid and where to find the good ones.

It also talks about prices and, where relevant, alcohol content.

So is this big news about that you have finally gotten the go ahead for a Foster Child or did somebody get a new job?

Spill it girlfriend!

Also if you can also point me to where in each country to get the drinks, I would be greatful! The only TS we have planed is LeCellier for lunch and then planning on going backwards on the world tour! Thank you for your help. Planning on typeing everything out so we don't get lost. lol:rotfl:

Updated Dee... added Lobsterkmd to page 2. Thank you!!

October 1st is my anniversary and I can officially say that I have been married to the man of my dreams for 5 years.... Plus the next day we fly to WDW and BC....:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Woohooo Congrats and enjoy your Disney vacay!!!

Ditto almost all of this.:banana:
I think we are noodle pass off buddies. Too bad we don't overlap though. I guess I'll be the red faced weirdo asking for stuff under "Noodle". :lmao:

Hey, yes you are after me.... I check out of YC on the 25th and into AKL CL, but I will need to return the rental car on the 26th at Dolphin... What time are you checking in?? Maybe we can meet up and make the swap and I can spare you being the red faced weirdo :rotfl2:... Let me know.

The only mistake is that I'm not on it!
Hope everyone in October (and November too Nannette) have magical trips!

Thanks Robyn!!

You all are getting me very excited for my upcoming Yacht Club stay (first time) Nov. 28th- Dec 4th! What a great group you have here!

Adding you to our November Who's Where When List!!

Ok well if moving DD to Texas wasn't enough of a shock to my system... I am now moving after 27 years in the same apartment in the Bronx to Brooklyn for 2 years before we move to Texas... This move is taking place in October... Just shoot me now!!! When I turned the BIG number a few years ago it was all about health issues... now 2 years later its all about shaking up my life!! I'm not opposed to moving to Brooklyn because we own the Co-op there so at least I won't be paying the rent I pay now, but really this is way too much change for me in such a short period of time. DH decided he is retiring... yea he told me that while I was in Texas... I think he misses DD too ;o) So I let him know this move has to happen 17 days before my Disney trip which means October. I think that I'm going to really really enjoy this Disney trip (I say that about all of them) but this one is the MEGA vacation!!! So that makes it different!!! (it makes sense to me).

Can you say GG Slushie with my name on it!!!! x10 All I have to do is pack 27 years in one month to get it :lmao: There will be NO change of address until my Disney packet gets here!!!

Signed my last month in the Bronx :confused3

Hi! My family will be at the Beach Club from 10-9 to 10-14...my ds's are 6 and I have been saving the double stroller for this trip...I plan on leaving it in Disney one way or another. I would love to give it to someone who needs it! It's a Combi double stroller and it's 5 years old. It has a lot of use but is perfect for the parks, etc. Please respond to me if you are interested having it and plan on being there on 10/14!

Thanks!
Heather

In light of this news I would recommend the web site :drinking: "Party through the parks". It will provide you with a floor plan (after a
couple of those drinks that's where you'll be, next to Heather :faint:) for forgetting all your troubles and just getting HAPPY!

Good luck with the move. Even better luck with the retired husband. Does he knit.... or something....? :scared:

I can't remember if I asked this before: We are going to lunch at Beaches & Cream. Can we get the refillable mugs from the sit down part, as in ask for them as part of the order, or are they only available at the window?

I would have appreciated this, unfortunately we don't arrive untill the 24th:sad1:

Has anyone stayed in either 563 or 561 in the studio villa at the beach club? How is the view? Can u see the fireworks from Epcot? Are these two villas located in near the elevator? I want to request one or both of these rooms, yes I know it's not a guarantee, but hoping since it's our daughter's first trip and also her 9th bday (5/17-5/24, 2012) maybe Mickey can work some magic for us. Also has anyone gone in May and how is the weather and the bug situation on the balconies? Thank you for your help.

I don't know about these particular rooms. We went this past May and the weather was warm, but not horrible. Most days were in the high 80's/low 90's. The love bugs were out though. When we were in the parks, they were not very noticeable. They were most noticeable on our way to our resort on ME. The windows were covered in them. Our balcony was also covered in dead ones, so we really did not use our balcony much this year.

Not to start up a whole new swap or anything...

Can Heather (hmballz) leave the stroller at bell services for (Liz) LLWDW?

You guys can work out the details by PM if that appeals to you.

Lol thanks I'll give it a try!

Since we just finished our own little drinking around the world (sorta...) I would advise you try the following:

China (at Tea Cart): Mango Gingerita. Very refreshing, though you must like ginger, because there are chunks of it in the drink as it's made with fresh ginger and mangoes!

Mexico: I cannot recommend Cava de Tequila enough. The bar is cozy, and the bartenders are great! The Jalapeno Margarita and the Avacado Margaritas are great.... there is also a Habenero Margarita that they make which is not on the menu, but is really good as well. They are more than willing to give you tastes of just about anything they make, so you don't have to go all in for a drink you're not sure about :)

France: Grey Goose Slushie. Hands down. The GM one is ok, but Citron gets our vote.

Man, this is making me depressed now knowing I can't have any more of these until we go back!:lmao:

I just texted my DH to remind him we HAVE to try the Grey Goose slushies when we go :lovestruc

So after a couple "tweaks", and no more, because DD (turning 7 tomorrow) is determined that BC is where we will have her 8th B-day party ;)

We will be at BC Sept 25-30, 2012
2 CL Lagoon View rooms :cool1: I went back and forth with the 2BR suite, CL standard, etc...but I think this will be great :goodvibes

This is such a busy thread, and I haven't even made it all the way through...I totally agree with negative reviews. To each his/her own. I have yet to have a bad Disney vacation, and I look forward to trying SAB with my water babies. Our stay at BCV it was a little chilly, and we didn't have an opportunity to enjoy it IMO. Thanks to all for your help this far :goodvibes
