I :lovestruc seeing my name on the November list. I bought the flights and rented the stroller this morning. While the squids are napping, I think I'll go over our park/ADR plan and finish filling out my passport renewal.

:cool1:

I have a questions about SAB, we will be there Thanksgiving-ish. I hadn't told dh about the pool yet (he politely rolls his eyes when I go on about the vacation, so he has very little knowledge about the YC aside from where it is), and when I showed him the pool area last night he seemed pretty excited about it. He wanted to know what temp the water is heated to.

I think it's going to be too chilly to really enjoy the pool area, right? I have been thinking about getting everyone little wetsuits. :) We have a pool in our yard, and the kids will swim even when it is way too cold for me! I'm a big baby. But if there is one thing the kids love to do it's swim! They are going to be sad if there isn't any pool time because it's too cold. Keep in mind we live in S Texas, so we're used to the heat. We haven't run our pool heater for months and it is never below 92 degrees. The youngest one is a true die-hard and nearly got hypothermia swimming in a lake at Glacier Nat'l Park when she was about 18 mo old. She'll be fine. But my oldest girl and I don't like cold water.

And I have some happy news! I was able to get the hard to get ADR's I was having trouble with! So we have Ohana and Hoop-Dee-Doo booked now! I need to get the Yachtsman booked, and Tony's, and I think that is it. I also need to book the kids in to the Neverland Club for dh and I's date night at the Cali Grill, but I think that is the very last thing! I got the Christmas party tickets in the mail, I got them booked for the Pirate Adventure. I think we're good to go! I'm very excited that I have been able to get all these fun things for my family to enjoy on our vacation. :D

Sounds like a fantastic trip you have planned!

The pools are heated, I'm not sure to what temperature. From what I have read, the problem is not with the temp of the pool, it is dealing with the air temperature when you get out!

The weather in November can be really warm, really chilly or somewhere in between, and can even change from day to day. I would suggest that you prepare for swimming (the wetsuits sound like a neat idea) and make sure you have some sweatshirts or jackets, too!

Thank you for the add ^_^

A quick follow up question. When you say that they all have a Queen bed, do you mean that each room only has 1 queen bed? Or do they each have 2?

Thanks!

Most of the rooms have 2 Queen beds! I think there are a few that may have 1 Queen and a daybed, and a very few with King beds, but my point was that there are Queens, not double beds, in the rooms. Sorry about the confusion!

If you have an upcoming trip and want to appear on the Page 1 Guest List, please check to see if you are listed correctly.

If your details are missing, post here and we will add you on!

I am a question for you BC veterans. :) We are tentatively planning a trip to WDW for June of next year. Having said that, I'm not sure of the exact date in June because we can't factor in quite yet the number of snow days we might have here in the midwest. Having said that we're taking a Moms Only Trip in January/February and I'm hoping to book with a bouceback offer if its available. It would also give me an idea of how much school we've missed up and until then. So my question is..................do you think its ok to wait until January/February to book at BC? The last time we've stayed there was 11 years ago as we've been staying at Pop since. I'm so looking forward to our return to BC I can't stand it. I could always add a week to the end of the school year as we normally never miss more than 5 days for snow and book now. Tell me what to do. :) Also, can anyone give me an idea of what to expect for mid June crowds? I know its going to be hot at that time of the year. I hope I can handle it. We've been vacationing at Disney in early December or January/February for the last 10 years. Am I nuts?????? Thanks for any information you can share with me. I do appreciate it.

We're doing the single digit dance today!!!!:dance3::dance3:
1/2 packed but all that is left is the clothes:laundy:

If it were me, I'd probably add a week to the end of school and book now - but that is because I am an obsessive planner (I booked our March 2012 trip in March 2011!) If you book now, you can always call later in the school year and try to change the dates but worst case you would know you are going for sure. I love WDW :lovestruc

No prob. Thank you so much for the answer ^_^ We decided to request a king and if they don't have one available ask if they can switch us if one does come available. As long as we have 2 queens until then, that would be just fine. :goodvibes:

:cool1::cool1::cool1: 3 wake ups and we are headed for our 1st stay at BCV!!!:cool1::cool1:

We are so excited to try out SAB, walk the Boardwalk at night, and walk to Epcot!

We have a 2bedroom villa, and we do cook on vacation. I probably will cook more there then I do at home.

I hear ya!!!!
I think I would love a 1 or 2 bedroom villa but looking at that kitchen everyday...No.Thank.You.

I guess I'm in the minority...I'd go for CL over BCV!!!

I am right there with you - that's why we never bought into DVC.

The last thing I want to see on vacation is a kitchen - although I have to admit I would LOVE having a washer and dryer in the room!

Not surprisingly, these are my thoughts EXACTLY. :)

Does anyone know if any of the "606" rooms are Standard or Garden View rooms and if they have daybeds?

Thanks!

There are four of these rooms. At least one is standard because of a roof view but the rest are garden.

We are back from another great trip to the World. Boy, was it a hot one!!

I must say we are so happy we booked our trip at the YC. We definitely prefer the "dark side." First up is the warm welcome getting off the ME. Bell Services stowed our luggage while we went over to get our "paper" tickets at the Int'l Gateway. No problem. The initial view stepping out from the lobby onto the boardwalk with a view of the lighthouse etc. and, of course, all the beautiful plants was just breathtaking!! DD found the hidden Mickey in the globe in the lobby as well!!

Check-in was smooth. We requested a GV and were given a lovely quiet pool view.:wizard::wizard: The room was ready--no waiting, so I'd say we were in by 11 am. Gardenia bushes were below our second floor room, and beautiful fushia-colored crepe myrtle went around the pool.:hippie::hippie::cool2: We sat out in the am while everyone took turns showering, and in the pm relaxing before making our way out again. It was so nice being able to sit outside and enjoy the rainstorms as well. Perfect! In addition, we had a day bed which the kids fought over as it was really comfortable.

Ale & Compass Lounge was just right for a quick breakfast or pm drink, but I must say that the Crew Cup Lounge was our favorite dinner spot. Both accepted the Tables in Wonderland discount, which made it even better. Ate there a few times as it was so convenient, we could watch the games,:happytv::happytv: and the atmosphere was just chill!:woohoo::woohoo:

SAB was the best pool experience by far, although the quiet pool filled in the gap early in the am or if we just wanted a quick dip. Boy it was hot though!

Saw a couple of weddings as well. :bride::bride: Very pretty in the lobby!!

Bus service to the MK for our Keys to the Kingdom tour worked out perfectly as we made the tour for 9:30 and MK had Extra Magic Hours that day so we got picked up at 7:10. We were the only ones on the bus before it stopped at the Beach Club. At that point the bus was just filled with people standing--WOW!

Thanks to all for all the great suggestions and advice--it was wonderful and we will consider staying here again.:yay::yay:

I have a question and hope someone can find this out for me. Does Cape May Clam Bake serve fried calamari on Tuesdays and Thursdays? :confused3
TIA

Thanks Teena, these rooms look great. Traveling with 3 teens (and 1 husband) so any extra space inside would be great so, with any luck, they will be available.

I don't know how I'm going to get through work the next 2 weeks, I can't wait!:banana:

You might want to add those rooms to your request as a request but it's still pretty hard to get a specific room since the room you want would have to be vacant on the day you check in ... never hurts though to add the request to your reservation.
