Actually there are smaller ones than that ... they don't even fit a chair. You can only stand on it.

all this talk about balconies has me worried ... does anyone know if the villas all have balconies? we have a one bedroom. thanks!

:)

I saw the pics of the smaller ones here and was surprised to see the different size my parents had. My mom would just sit and drink coffee while my dad got ready so it was perfectly fine for them. I could see if you had more than 2 people that this may not work. We didn't request a balcony - our main concern was connecting rooms so got lucky.

My ds and I are like Teena in that we are not so concerned about the view . I take pics of the room and view etc when we 1st arrive. After that, I may go out on the balcony for a few minutes here or there so not important to us. We usually book standard view. Our worst view ever was woods view at WL. Right near the service area - but it was wood if you looked straight ahead;).

PS I haven't been posting much but have been lurking awhile :) - been meaning to say Teena hope your reovery goes well. We didn't get to meet you when we were there but we did meet Art. We are staying on the dark side this trip.

We had the best balcony when we stayed at the Beach Club the first time. I believe it would be a garden view. The room if I remember was 4606. it was at a corner and we had a larger room and a huge balcony. We had two doors out to the balcony even.

Just booked for April 2012:banana::banana::banana:! Gardenview room at BC, 5 nights. So very excited!!!! Haven't stayed at BC since 2008 - very excited to be heading back!

Well take me off the list to stay at BCV from Sep 24-27. DH has always wanted to stay Savannah view at AKL. A room opened up this morning at the Jambo House for a studio there. I was able to get it for all four nights we will be there. It has busted the budget a bit but I think it will be amazing.

We had a long balcony like that when we stayed at the BC way back in 2000. If my blonde memory recalls correctly, it was a king bed corner room, view of the trees, but you could see fireworks over the tops of them  I remember it was about as far away from the lobby as you could get! :rotfl:

It was a LONG time ago and I just remember, aside from the location, we were less than thrilled with the resort. We were such WDW newbs and my only other trip had been 10 days at the GF for our honeymoon. I assumed all deluxe hotels were the same (plus I was ignorant to the extra special treatment they gave us for our honeymoon) :headache:

But after our FABULOUS stay at the YC this past June, I can't wait to take DH back to the BC and show him just how great it really is! :wizard:

(OT, but I did read the whole thread last night to "catch up" and Teena, I am so sorry you are having kidney stone problems  I hope things are settling down so you can get back to your gorgeous granddaughter soon! :wizard:)

My DH really wants to upgrade to the CL, I wanted to wait and take a chance and upgrade on site....he doesnt want to take a chance , so looks like I will be calling today to upgrade...quick question...having never been before (and I am sure it has been coverd) (and I have tried to read all posts) but after awhile you forget....
is the CL on a separte floor and are all CL on this floor?:

All of the regular club level rooms are on the 5th Floor. There are a few deluxe (larger) CL rooms on other floors, but they are a separate booking category.

Regarding shipping packages from WDW: We always would try to do our main shopping at World of Disney or Mousegears. We'd take everything to the same register and have them ship it all together. Like MM said, the cost of shipping was very reasonable and if it is out of state, they don't charge you Florida sales tax so the amount of shipping was usually what we would have paid on the sales tax. (Haven't done this for over 7 years but I assume it's the same as before regarding the sales tax --- maybe someone who has done it in the past 7 years can confirm that this is still the case. Also, I found I had to remind the cashier not to charge me the sales tax since some of the newer CMs didn't know the procedures quite as well.) Another alternative (but not as good a deal) is to gather everything you purchase and take it all to the resort shipping department. You already paid sales tax so you don't have that savings and the shipping department's charges seem more expensive than when you do it right from the Disney shops.

Happy 1 month birthday princess: Lily

I was going to ask that- because I heard shipping from resorts used to be cheaper then from the shops? I may have to ship some suvies home, as I've waaaaay overpacked  Been here (Ft. Lauderdale) almost 2 weeks, and haven't made a dent in the clothes  You'd think by now I would have learned :confused3 :sad2:

thanks, we are from the boston area too...
ok...now you guys are really going to hate me for all the questions and being so wishy washy....but as I said I no NOTHING about staying in park..

so here goes next question: after talking to my girl at AMEX, she told me that a Beach club Villa would cost me the same price as a CL room..:confused3
and not knowing anything...is this the same bulding? different....are they nice...oh boy....now have to re-think this...so thats where you all come in...:3dglasses

Just a heads-up for y'all just in case.... Last night I looked at the updated menus on Allears and some of the prices had crazy increases since last November. I had a not-so-mild freak-out. Just a little bit ago I called Disney Dining and asked for 2 prices so I could check the accuracy. On 8/14 holiday surcharges go away and prices will go back to the lowest tier. Crystal Palace adult breakfast will be $24.49 tax included vs. the $28.75 Allears is showing. 1900 Park Fare adult dinner will be $38.33 tax included vs. the $42.59 Allears shows. I believe they've got the holiday surcharge prices posted. :thumbsup2

Didn't want anyone going off the deep end and ditching their ADRs. :scared1:

Did she say if it's a studio or 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom? The villas are in a diff building. If it is a 1 bedroom and u have kids I would pick that over CL anyday!

11 freaking days until I check into the BC for my 20th anniversary and DD's 10th (big one double digits now!) birthday trip!

Can the time just fly by please!!!!!!!
