Does anyone know if Mim Flynn is a woman or a man? The name sounds like a woman's name, but I would like to address my letter to either "Ms." or "Mr." and be correct.

I believe Mim is a woman. We had a welcome phone call from her on our first morning, and the voice was definitely female.

It was open until 11pm our first two nights, then 10pm the rest of our stay. Your points about the liability and keeping guests from other resorts out are valid, I guess. However, as long as it is still hot (after all, it was still August!), SAB shouldn't close before midnight.

Our last night it was open until 10 pm too, and we were surprised. It was very hot. We stayed right up until 10 pm that night (Mon 8/29). I treated myself to a Mai Tai while the kids had a ball playing. Where you there then?

Yes, we were there 8/26 - 9/3. Actually, I think they started closing at 10pm on Sunday, 8/28. Then, I thought maybe on our last night (Friday, 9/2) they would go back to 11pm since it was the weekend (and a holiday weekend, no less)- but nope.

I think you're right, but we didn't go that night - just during the day. My kids actually were upset that it didn't open until 10 am. They were ready by 9 am. LOL

I am just getting ready to make my final payment for my trip next month and would like to request a room in a particular area of the yacht club. The room we had last year was absolutely perfect in every way for DH and I. Does anyone have a map of the actual room number layout? Thanks

To all of my BC/YC friends, Big changes are coming for my family again!

This will affect this years vacation but in a good way. Don't want to say to much more right now until everything is concreated but I am really excited and hoping for prayer for wisdom and smooth sailing!




PS: My little brother is now back in the states! He was stationed over in Germany for two years and the last year he commanded his the post there. He and his family are settleing in in Monteray, CA for 7 months and then 1 year in Panama and hopefully then he will get excepted into Princton or another school for his masters after that. He called me to tell me he went to Walmart for the first time in two years and he forgot how convient it was! It is amazing the things we take for granted that our military families sacrafice to serve!

I have a good opportunity to stay at BCV in a studio. My question is on the beds. I believe there is a Queen bed and a pull out couch? How large is the couch? I have two sons (16 & 21). They are not huge guys (5'10" 160 lb and 5'6" 140 lb). Has anyone had two people these sizes on that bed?

I took the bus to MK 3 different days. Each time we only shared with the BC. The Animal Kingdom bus shared with everyone, however.
I don't remember seeing yogurt or anything like that, but I wasn't looking for it either. I do remember the bartender making cappuccinos or lattes with the fizzy coffee machine though! Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Good to know that the bus to/from MK should be OK. Nice to know that cappucinos and lattes are a possibility.

Has anyone here taken the bus from MK about 30 minutes after an early closing?

Here is the info I have about Ale & Compass:

Confirmed! I spot a nice cappuccino maker. However, I don't see a fridge, so probably no cold items at A&C.

Also, would it be right to say that in early October, the campfire should be around 7/7:30 pm and the movies will start at 8:00/8:30? Has anyone done the campfire and can tell me if anything else takes place besides roasting marshmellows?
