Thanks for the info, I was kinda hoping for the resort wear to be avail in Aug:sad1:
Enjoy floating around SAB in your noodle!! Hide some of those CL treats from the raid for me!!

We just got back from San Antonio, where we ate mexican food, played tourist at the Alamo and Riverwalk, drank a lot of 6pt beer, and spent our days in the gym watching the twins play basketball. Four days away from the boards and there's so much new info.

I'm kinda bummed about the Oct/Nov timeline as well. I'll be there late September.

In fact I think I"m going to be reworking my reservation a little bit, but I'm not leaving the BC or changing my dates, can't wait to get there, but it would have been so much sweeter with a cool BC Resort WDW shirt.

OK I have to ask what is an IPO ? and I was going to use Disney Floral but they are slightly expensive for Balloons can I order from a place and then have them delivered to WDW ? I am asking because we arrive on 8/28 for my daughters sweet 16 trip and I want to do something special but not sure what to do ??

I just booked BCV for next year. We'll be there from 4/28 - 5/8. I'm hoping we can sneak in another short trip in Dec. or Jan.

IPO is the Itinerary Planning Office. This is a service offered to guests staying club level.

What is the sand bucket gift basket?

and btw, have a great trip!

I also would love to know what are in them? That might be perfect for the kids! And any other ideas for in room surprises from everyone would be wonderful!

DH "earned" this trip from one of his suppliers at work. We upgraded things to stay longer and do CL and I want to make this trip super special for him, my mom and DD3 and DS 18 months (who won't remember any of this but things everything is fun).

Thank you Natebenma. I appreciate your help regarding the marshmallows. It seems little but my DS is very excited about toasting marshmallows on the beach.... We will be at the YC from 8/17 - 8/23. Thanks again :flower3:
That is the week we are thinking of for next year. Could you please note how the crowds at the parks are and let us know when you get back? Also, how full the YC/BC is?

Hi! I know there is a perfectly functional bus that takes you to the MK, but am curious about walking to the monorail. We'll have parkhoppers, so that's not an an issue. When we had breakfast in February at Cape May, I was stunned at how quickly we walked from the BC to Future World, let alone the IG. I don't think of the walk from the IG to the front of the park to be all that long, either.

So, it is it crazy and to try and do it that way?

Also, what time does EPCOT open in the morning to allow you to even make that trek? I'm assuming you can't really do it until Future World is open?

TIA! :thumbsup2

The opening for Epcot will depend if they are having AM Extra Magic Hour. When that happens Future World will open at 8:00 AM, however on their regular openings it will be at 9:00 AM. You are also correct that you need to wait for it open before walking to the Future World exit and getting to the Monorail station. Personally I think it's faster and easier taking the bus, because once you arrive at the TTC you then need to switch over to the Magic Kingdom Express Monorail. However if you feel like going this way there is nothing wrong with it.

Ryan is so precious!!! Hope you come back next year for another visit with us!!

Teena I hope so too!!!

Thanks, Robyn. Good plan - I'll do the same. After giving it some thought, it's probably better for the boys to get those pirate swords after they have some time to calm down, instead of when we first arrive!

When I used to work in hotels and we had special gifts like this, we would not put them in the guestrooms until the guest checked in because we may need to move someone into that room if they arrive & their originally blocked room wasn't ready (as we always tried to get people into rooms ASAP). If we gave them your room, then they would have gotten your gifts - Not saying that is why the policy was changed but it could be the reason, since your room isn't officially yours until you check in...

Thanks! I figured the bus would be easier in the morning, but we could do either thing later in the day.

31 days til Disney!!! All my info came in the mail today! It now seems so official!!

6 more school days for my girls and then summer vacation can start!

I can say from experience last week, it took 1.5 hours to walk through Epcot and take the monorail over to the Poly for dinner. It took like 25 min total for the bus.

We took it over to Magic Kingdom our first evening there after we had dinner at the Garden Grill, we had to see MK the first night. This was our first time staying on site and we wanted to replicate our excitement of arriving at MK on the monorail (like you do from the parking lots). We timed it good and got on and off timely. We also took it back a few times from MK because the kids like to ride the monorail. We also rode around the resort loop one night after dinner at Ohana at the children's request. I think it's their favorite ride at WDW! DS 5 also brought home a nice die cast monorail with a green stripe (his favorite color!).

Others have answered your question- I thought I would add to the opinions. We always use the bus from the Beach Club to MK, but we almost always take the monorail from MK to EPCOT on our return to the BC (unless we are in a rush for some reason). This allows us to enjoy the monorail, and a few attractions in EPCOT on the way back to our room. A great time to experience Spaceship Earth or Living with the Land!

AND I can say it took 20 MINS and $17.00 ( with tip!) To get to the Poly by cab.

Now I'm Getting ready to board the plane for the flight home! See you on the other side of Disney World.....

cindydare... :thanks: so much for posting those wonderful pics! :goodvibes That is exactly the view I am hoping to have...just beautiful..I bet you enjoyed sitting out on your balcony...

coastermom For my nieces Sweet 16 I ordered something from the disney florist that was adorable, and not super costly .. it was called the Mickey Happy Surprise Cake...It was a variety of Mickey candy bars..set up in a circle like a cake...it was filled with smaller candies..and then topped with confetti..wrapped in cellophane and tied with ribbons..I think it was about $55...she just loved it...we all did...;)

Thanks for the input, everyone. I suppose it will depend on our timinig and what else we want to do between point A and point B. We wouldn't be doing it to save time, that's for sure.

natebenma What a wonderful tip! Ending the evening with a stroll through Epcot....These are just the kind of ideas I appreciate learing here on the YC/BC thread ! :thumbsup2 Does this work better on nights that there is not EMH...???
