Not super recent but last August I traveled alone with 3 little kids and we were dropped off at BC first. Later that night my DH arrive alone and he was the very last person on the DME bus. I suspect there's some "flexibility" in the drop-off order. That was the last time my DH will ever use DME! :rotfl2:

Amanda

I have to agree with you on that there is some flexibility . The last two years we stayed at POR and the DME drop off order was BC/YC then POR . Both drivers even took votes on where we went first and others who were staying at POR told us that they were dropped of first . Luck of the draw I guess . So when I go to the BC this year it will be interesting to see what the drop off order will be . I can not wait 21 days and counting .

Thanks everyone! You would think I would remember this since we just stayed at BWI in November and I am sure we were all on the same bus! :headache:

I just remember all our stays at the CR that the CR is last (after WL, Poly and GF, although not necessarily in that order). That being said, we are always at the resort for our early AM flights within 90 minutes of landing at the latest!

3 more days! :cool1:

I think that DME is based on how many people are riding to each resort. Back in 2007, our's went from: SSR to POR to Poly.

Hi Nannette,

Sorry to make extra work for you, but could you please change our November vacation date from 7-13 to 13-19. In all my excitement, I just noticed I forgot to advise you of the change.

We are doing a split stay and I was 'forced' to switch the order for our resorts because this past week I was offered a 40% room discount on a BC CL lagoon view when I called about the change, so of course, it was a no brainer to do the flip.

Am so excited...when you are just calling to make a change to your ressie, and out of the blue they offer you the discount, well, I bet the poor CM still has ringing in her ears!!!

Happy planning everyone!!!

I am really having a blond moment..I did already post this info and Nannette answered...that will teach me to post in the middle of the night

It was updated just not with the LV (split stay) Dee has that updated on page 1 and I added the LV (split stay) to page 3. Congrats on the discount!!

Just popping in to say bye!

I'll be at the Beach Club tomorrow (POR tonight)!

Aaaaaagggggghhhhh!!!! :scared: (And I'm going in 6 days but I am STILL Jealous!!!)

I did forget to mention that my 14 yo DD was a little surprised I shared your noodle family pics with her...she was shocked to see them in the shower, she noticed they didn't have any clothes on! :scared1: She was afraid this messageboard had stopped being family friendly. :rolleyes1

Did you tell her that they have been married for years and have kids? NOTHING is going on with those two!

We're here! Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, but I wasn't expecting it to be because we got here 10ish. So we checked in and went to MK...big mistake, I forgot about red shirt days...and I was wearing a red tank top, oops! We hit a few rides and got hot and hungry, and decided to head back to BC, our room ready text came through when we were on the bus. We had already decided to eat before getting the room, so we took a short walk to Hurricane Hanna's for lunch, and met Teena in the lobby along the way. Our room is CL, overlooking the back entrance. I had booked standard, so I'm thinking this is an upgrade? We spent some time in the pool...construction is visible there, probably off the balconies across the hall from us. We could hear some noise, but it wasn't bad. Now we're resting a bit and waiting for the lounge to open for some goodies before heading to Epcot for the night. The cookies this afternoon were very yummy!

Thanks for the update! Sounds like an upgrade to me! :thumbsup2 What is red shirt days? :confused3

What is red shirt days? :confused3

The unofficial "Gay Days" are happening at Disney right now, and they wear red shirts in the parks. :thumbsup2

Also, another question. When purchasing things with your KTTW card, do you have to sign a receipt? How about with a Disney gift card? Trying to figure out which would be simpler. Someone on the F&WF said it shouldn't take that long to sign a receipt anyway, but they don't have my very long German name either!

Have a pleasant evening at Epcot. I was wondering also what "red shirt days" are :confused3

Ahhhhh ......Thanks for the explanation. We went to Disney the year of the first Gay Days(did not know until we got to MK and read the sign out front) I do not recall what color shirts they wore but I do recall what was written on them that first year "A Day of Magic-A Night of Pleasure" I do not recall it being exceptionally busy at MK but I do recall my then 15 yr DS got the thrill of his life when he saw 2 females kiss :lmao:

Can anyone provide me with some information on the illumination cruise that originates at the BC/YC. Price and boat size. I've heard about them, but can't seem to find any information.:surfweb:

Have you seen the Dr. Jones and the Spitting Camel Trip Report by eandesmom? Her family did the Illuminations cruise whey they stayed at the YC. It sounds like a lot of fun!

Here are her posts about it:

Not sure about the price of the cruise or the size of the boat, but you could try calling (407) WDW-PLAY to ask.

I did this when we were at F&W last year. They have a mini card with a bracelet so you can wear it on your wrist. You can put as much on the card as you want. When you go through the line you just hand your card to them. Quick and easy! If you end up with leftover money on the card it can be used at any Disney store. We ended up buying the card after our first experience going through a line. I didn't use my KTTK card but was using cash and it was difficult. We bought the card at the Festival Center. Was really easy. Have a great time!!

Very cool.. I had not seen that. I have the Wishes Cruise booked for our upcoming November trip. I have 5 o'clock V&A Chef's table booked and then have to meet at the Dock at GF at 9:30. I opted for Wishes because they say it's amazing!! I'll take pics or video (just got a flip cam for this trip). Can't wait now that I've read that report!! Thanks for posting.

I logged on tonight to make a payment on my vacation balance and was pleasantly surprised to see that we're at 99 days to go til we're at the BC!! Kroger stores here currently are giving 4X fuel points for every gift card purchase, so I'm trying to take advantage of that as much as I can.

I haven't had a lot of time to be on here in the past couple of months. My FIL was diagnosed with metastatic colon cancer (in his lung) last month after a previous months worth of tests and he started his 1st course of chemotherapy this week. He has been my childcare provider since DD7 was 6 weeks old, and he has DS3 several days a week now, so I'm trying to figure out adjustments to my work schedule. Luckily he tolerated his first chemotherapy pretty well (better than the rest of the family did ;) ), and the kids can still be around him, because those two are the world to him (and he is to them!---DD7 said PapPap before she ever thought about saying Mama). It's hard enough to explain to them that he's sick, without having to tell them that they can't go over to see him, because they're used to seeing him every day. Please keep him in your prayers.
