2011 Trip report David & Teresa spend their 30th at the Fort.

As promised I plan to provide a running live report from the fort report of our stay. We left Roanoke VA Thursday night and after spending two nights on the road staying over night at a Wal-Mart and a Cracker Barrel we arrived at the Fort today at noon. Check in was a breeze with no one waiting in line. I had called the front desk last weekend and requested the 800 loop and we were assigned site 840

By 1:30 Teresa and I had the portable yard set up for the pups (pictures of that tomorrow) and finished the rest of the MH setup. Right on time Kenny called and I caught a bus to the outpost to get the golf cart I rented from T Time.

We ended the day with a quick trip to downtown Disney to have dinner at The Earl of Sandwich. After a stop at Goofy's candy shop to get something for our sweet tooth we headed back home to the fort. Not a bad start to the celebration of our 30 year wedding anaversary.

Sunday the 23rd

Today was a Fort day with us just hanging around the MH and looping around the Fort. It feels more busy this year than last year. We put the final touches on the MH set up ( Ok I almost forgot my wife's pink flamingo lights) and we spent some time with the pups in the yard. Around noon Teresa and I went over to the Magic Kingdom by boat and got our park hopper passes for the week. We always start our week off at the Magic Kingdom on Monday with a walk down main street.

When we got back to the MH we had new neighbors and couldn't believe it when we found out that they too were here to celebrate their wedding anniversary and it was the exact same day as ours January the 26th how cool is that.

Then just when I thought I had seen it all at the Fort, today brought a new surprise. What do I see out the front windows a man walking his pot belly pig. (pic below)

Later on we had family come over and we all went to Trails End for dinner, the food was good and I stuffed myself. Then it was back to the MH to catch up on old times and watch the game. Go Pittsburgh!

My comments/questions:

1. The title of your report says "2010 Trip report . . ." This got me confused, as it appears that this is really a live report, and you are at the Fort now. I guess the 2010 is a typo?

2. Your Motorhome looks great. What is up with the vertical window there in the back? That's not something I have seen before. What kind of floor plan do you have in there?

3. Great job on the pig photo. I have never seen anyone walk a pig at the Fort before.
But, now I have!

4. Congratulations on 30 years! That is quite an accomplishment these days!
