2011 Resort Mugs?

Sorry Brandy..the year we did it, it was deluxe..I didn't realize it wasn't for regular - I think that's awful! Sorry to misinform and get your hopes up...
But, if you bring your own bag of bread and use their supplies to make your toast, you can make up for the cost of buying the mug.... ;-)

Unless it has changed, you only get mugs with the deluxe or quick service plans, not the regular plan.

Edited: Oops somebody beat me. And yes, it is odd.

Well shoot, I take back my cool, lol We are on the other DP. Guess they don't offer mugs on that plan because it is the more popular plan? Oh well, I don't care. I got the plan for free so don't mind buying the mugs.

The single serve packs are available for the "food court guest" consumption - i.e. people who are eating at the food court. Not park guests or hotel guests.

Do you wander into random restaurants to use their salt and pepper or get some ketchup for your sandwich you brought from home?

Do I? No. But have I needed a napkin in the mall and grabbed one in the food court...yup.

Again...don't you think it's odd that this means more to YOU then it does to Disney?

Anyone want to guess the over and under on how many posts this thread gets before it gets locked.

I say 250/270.

So what about sharing a mug is that stealing? I mean I plan on getting just one for my kids to share, and one for me. I actually don't know if the mug is worth it for us, we leave for the parks early so that's only one fill, and come back late so 1 fill. We are staying for 7 nights, so is it truely worth the $15?? I don't think we got enough use of our cups last time we went.

I don't know about while you are there, but I use mine to take my coffee to work each morning, so yeah, I've gotten my money's worth.
It makes me happy to look at it on my desk. LOL.

We use our old mugs almost daily, but for me with going by myself and 3 kids under 9 I don't know if i even want to carry all those mugs as I enjoyed taking mine with me to wait for the bus.

This thread is fine and dandy and all but what I need to know is whether I can use the mug I bought last year at Pop this year at ASMu and when I pool hop over at the Poly? TIA

I can't believe I read this whole thread. It definitely gave me a few good laughs. I'm surprised no one has posted any pictures yet.

On our last trip we saw customers at Earl of Sandwich getting their drinks with their RESORT mugs:scared1::scared1: Unbelieveable......

We have AP's so usually book room only and I don't mind paying for mugs. We definitely get our money's worth out of them! :) next trip we did get the dining plan but it's the regular one so I'll just get another set. :thumbsup2

I'm not advocating bringing old mugs back with each trip, but here's what irks DH about it. Last Sept., we saw people bringing Xtreme Big Gulp mugs (it looks like it holds a gallon) and filling them at the POR food court. This was in addition to mugs from every year in the history of Disney mugs. My DH says he's done buying new mugs, and it is a little frustrating for him that nobody seems to care what mugs people use. Yes, he should take the high ground and be the best he can be, but I can understand why people choose to bring back the old ones.

I have a question for you guys. When we first stayed on property in 1989 at the Contemporary, we were on the gold package. We were given refillable mugs and were told that these mugs were good for any future trip to the Contemporary. I am not planning to use them ever again, but I was wondering whether they were still good. Since that trip we have done the dining plan every trip and have about 20 refillable mugs.

:wave2:Hello fellow Islander. Are you enjoying all this snow? ;)

Is it just me or does anyone else lose the top to the mug 20 minutes after getting home? I have lots of mugs, no tops.

As long as you aren't visiting friends staying CL in the lounge and eating their snacks and drinking their drinks. ;)
